TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

I'm 3/4dpo me and dp have been doing fertility yoga on youtube nice bit of bonding!
For anyone wh needs a bit of inspiration watching 365 days helped us 😂😂

@Nypie haha this is brilliant! I might suggest it to DH. He hates stuff like that 😂😂 The yoga sounds nice, fingers crossed this month was a success!

@Shleepymummy I thought I would too I'm not a 50 shades kinda girl but if you can ignore the ridiculous plot it is a great warm up...and at the very least a giggle.
The yoga was also a giggle great to see dp attempting to breath from his womb 😂😂😂

How’s every one doing? I’m on day 2 of flashing smiley on digital, cheap opks are still weak. So I don’t think ovulation is coming tomorrow as app says. Plan to baby dance tonight as we haven’t yet and then sat and sun. Hoping to get solid tomorrow maybe. Last time my cheapies were weak when flashing smiley but when I got a solid smiley the cheapies went strong really quickly. You know when you just think: why is it when I start really tracking and looking into it does it start suddenly behaving differently?! It’s like the gods know!

Morning ladies. How's everybody doing? I got my peak opk yesterday and a temp dip this morning, so just need to wait for the rise over the next few days to confirm it. DH and I are off for a weekend away, so are looking forward to a little more BD, sightseeing and eating. Even if this isn't our month, it's still so nice to have some time away to be excited about.
How are those opks doing for everyone testing?

@Shleepymummy i dont think my ovulation is coming tomorrow either - not much going on with my opks yet but i haven't tested yet today. got an alarm set for 1pm!

@Hannargh congrats on your peak opk! where are you off to on your weekend away?

Hey everyone sorry I've not been around the last few days. I've been unwell. Some tummy bug on Tuesday and then a drama with a friend to sort out so I'm running on very little sleep, all my joints are aching, and I've got tension headaches that I don't normally get lol. So all in all its been a crappy week for me haha.

However looking forward to my scan tomorrow, it's at 11.30. Hoping all is well. I think I'll be a little better once I know everything is fine. I'll post a photo here when I get home.

my ov strip was looking a much more promising today. might be in for a nice strong result tomorrow or sunday 😊

Thanks @eleveneleven11 - I'm up in York for the first time in 10 years and having a lovely time. My opk was still high this afternoon (v close to peak) so O may still be tomorrow- I will see what direction my bbt goes in the morning. Either way, base's definitely covered 😅. Hope you get your peak soon!

my opks was positive this morning, test line is juuuuust about darker than the control line so i'm pretty sure i'll ovulate tomorrow. DTD this morning and will go again tomorrow morning and then kick back and try and relax for the TTW 🤣

@eleveneleven11 congrats on the positive OPK, sounds like you’re all covered.
I got a solid smiley face on digital today and cheap OPk much stronger this morning compared to the last few days of weak nothing. This late afternoon I got a really strong cheap opk, test line the same if not bit darker than control line. We DTD last night and then again tonight. I might do cheap one tomorrow and if still strong probs do it again tomorrow eve.
Once you get positive opk, is ovulation 12 hours later? Or longer? Or hard to say? I can’t remember any of the technical bits from looking it all up with my first baby.

Scan went well today thankfully ❤️ measuring at 6+1 when we thought we were 7+3 but they said that's quite normal and ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate anyway. We have a heartbeat 💓 so all looks good xxx

@Shleepymummy i think ovulation is 24-36 hours after a positive opks so recommended to DTD between 12-48 hours after getting a positive result.
sounds like you've got it all covered too!

@TheCakeIsALie18 ah that's wonderful you heard the heartbeat! Does it all feel a bit more relaxed now? Hope you're feeling better after your difficult week.

Hooray! @eleveneleven11 and @Shleepymummy - glad you've both caught your peaks! I'm also wondering if we should dtd again today (1DPO) but we are both knackered from walking round, so hopefully 0, -1 and -3 will as sufficient as anything. I think ovulation is 12-36 hours after a peak but can vary.

*I meant to write real, rather than relaxed, but hopefully hearing the heatbeat has helped you too @TheCakeIsALie18

Thanks @Hannargh and @eleveneleven11 I'm feeling more relaxed but it still doesn't feel real... quite strange. I think it will be real at 12 weeks when it looks like a baby haha.

We can't hear the heartbeat yet but you can see it flickering. ❤️ if it let me send the video I would 🥰 xxx

@eleveneleven11 thanks for asking about me I'm good been really busy so have been trying to do a bit of self care in between. In my last week of tww its gone so quickly and this cycle feels really different dont know if thats good or bad, but if its bad I'm gonna book a weekend away! Glad to hear you've done all you can and hopefully can just breathe now!

@Nypie how far into the 2ww are you? Busy is always good, hopefully it goes quick for you!
I don’t know if I can DTD again tonight, but had bad ovulation pain all day so feel like it’s defo happening and should we try and get some more in tonight!

@Shleepymummy I'm 7 to 8 dpo! I've heard that the day of the peak is your best chance the day after is simmilar odds of a few days before so I wouldn't worry too much if you'r not feeling. I felt exactly the same way last week and just decides to leave it we were both exhausted!

Hello, is it way too late to join? I am new to ttc (this is my first cycle!) and online chat groups in general. After a few days of following this thread, I realize I am sort of syncing up with some of the ladies in here. OPKs + premom app says I ovulated yesterday--3rd Sept and my temp also spiked this morning. Also, this thread seems so welcoming and full of encouragement and positive vibes!

Welcome @pugsB ! Yea we formed a nice little group! 2 of the group are recently pregnant and the rest of us are tracking/TTC. Think we have all reached O now, some of us are further along and in the tww. I also think I ovulated yesterday or possibly today, I don’t temp track. We’ve dtd Friday and Saturday and Sunday. Good luck this cycle! Let us know how you’re getting on in the tww!

I'm 3DPO today, expecting AF around the 14th, but we shall see. When's your period due? I'm also doing opks and temping, and we are aiming for our first.

@Nypie staying busy is key in the TWW! mine starts today - there's something very satisfying about starting the TWW on a monday haha. how are you feeling now you're down to the last week? any temptation to test or are you planning on holding out?

@Hannargh AF should be due 17 or 18th. I have 31-33 day cycles. We are also trying for our first!

@eleveneleven11 yeah this feels weird to me!

I think I am OK so far. I am usually quite obsessive but tww so far has not been too bad (I think). Honestly its just the first month so its easier to let it slide by. Initially I was only going to prepare to ttc for next three months but the preparation actually pushed me start sooner. All of the info I read online made me reevaluate if waiting was truly necessary. I am in my mid-30s and would like the possibility of another child. I may also have PCOS though its not confirmed. The combination of several things was causing me to delay this but i realized those may be minor inconveniences compared to not being able to have a child at all or waiting so long for the first that the 2nd might get pushed even further/ cancelled. Anyways, this is my long story haha
