I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

@Mummyme87 ahh I can see a line on the cheapie for sure!! Keeping everything crossed for you!

@NSx not to get your hopes up but I had LOADS of spots at about 8dpo this month and I never really get them 😬

NSx · 22/08/2022 11:39

@NatGee i can’t remember it ever being this bad before - normally it breaks out slightly close to AF
wtaf πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ₯Ή I’m so spotty

NSx · 22/08/2022 11:40

@calipoppy did u have any other symptoms?
how u getting on?
im not holding my breath but honestly I’m like a spotty teenager, when I was pregnant in feb, around 6 weeks my skin went terrible 😭

calipoppy · 22/08/2022 11:48

@nsx I was more tired in the mornings like almost dizzy tired, and SO thirsty but that didn't start until about 10dpo!

NSx · 22/08/2022 11:58

@calipoppy i was the same in feb, no symptoms until about 10dpo or there abouts.
I will test on Sunday 🀞✨

EdinburghGirl1 · 22/08/2022 12:43

@Mummyme87 fingers crossed it's the start of your bfp

@Lion14 it's cycle 3 for me. I will probably test at the weekend as in a way I'd like to just know I'm out and then move on. I'm Not feeling very hopeful this cycle so I don't know. Hopefully those things are positive for you.

@Nichelette that's good news your ovulating. Must just be a longer cycle.

@NSx hoping the spots means good news good news for you this cycle.

RugbyGirl1 · 22/08/2022 13:39

Hey all, sorry I've been AWOL - I find it hard to keep up with all the chat and work has been super busy πŸ˜‚ 2dpo atm so the start of the dreaded 2WW.

Had reflexology for the first time on Friday, it was sooooo relaxing, think @Aurora81 suggested it! They said she could feel my ovaries buzzing (through my feet somehow!) so seems the timing for ovulation was spot on πŸ‘Œ

I also had a private fertility consultantion and they prescribed progesterone so I'm now on that until AF arrives or I get a negative test at 12dpo. Considering my LP is usually 10 days I'm expecting AF to arrive first but we'll see!

Good luck to everyone due to test soon ✨

cavebaby · 22/08/2022 14:13

@NSx I've got an absolute corker on the side of my nose at 7dpo, hormones are so kind! However I'm pretty sure I was spotty after ovulation last month too and didn't get spots with DD so it doesn't fill me with much hope!

That's so interesting about the reflexology @RugbyGirl1. Was the progesterone prescribed to lengthen your luteal phase?

Babydust99 · 22/08/2022 15:01

Thanks @EdinburghGirl1 and @cavebaby this journey is so tough

Mummyme87 · 22/08/2022 15:31

@RugbyGirl1 glad you have had a positive week with fertility consultant and reflexology.

Louise34mum · 22/08/2022 15:35

Cycle 4 here. Im around 7/8 dpo. Do many of you use the One Steps and are they probe to evap lines? I deffos have a line this morning but noticed it after a good 15 minutes. I would have thought 7/8dpo is too early? I didnt track ovulation this month as we spent last week in Turkey and just went with the flow. Lots of dtd though πŸ˜‚

@Louise34mum onestep are very sensitive, ive had no issues with any of their strips. I can see a line, wow, congratulations !!!
Maybe we need to buy ourselves a ticket to Turkey :D

Haha I would highly recommend. At one point told him I physically couldnt dtd a third timeπŸ˜‚πŸ™Š would this line be average for 7/8dpo then? Thank you. Im not going to get too hyped just yet. Best of luck to you.

ngnecftn · 22/08/2022 15:51

I'm only 5dpo at the minute so too early to test but so annoyed the BH is this weekend and not next. Feel like I'll need another one straight away if I don't get a BFP next week. AF is due September 1

RugbyGirl1 · 22/08/2022 15:54

@cavebaby it was prescribed to help stop spotting from around 8dpo but also as something just to try as there is no harm to it. Been TTC for 21 months now so it feels good to be trying something! The reflexologist also said I'm a bit tense in my shoulders (I sit at a desk most the time so not surprising) and that my brain is very active, like I'm overthinking about something.

@Louise34mum looks good! Those tests can be very sensitive. DH and I booked an all inclusive holiday for November, something to look forward to at least and if I'm not pregnant by then, I'm due to ovulate that week so will be relaxing, no BBT, no ovulation sticks etc to see if that works!

jalu47 · 22/08/2022 16:02

Hello all - joining the thread. TTC no. 2 for 7 months. 20 month old conceived very quickly but not happening so easily this time. Had a chemical in June but hoping this is our month - 4DPO and in the wait 😬

NSx · 22/08/2022 16:02

@EdinburghGirl1 who knows, I’m not holding my breath at all πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
@cavebaby I’m not really optimistic but honestly my jawline is bad 😩 and my chin -

EdinburghGirl1 · 22/08/2022 16:05

@NSx hormonal acne tends to be around the jaw. Hope it clears up soon for you

ladydorito · 22/08/2022 16:05

I was so desperate for this to be our month. Cycle four, 11dpo and a negative FRER... I know it's not over til it's over but my heart of hearts says it's not our month.
We're now faced with a difficult decision about whether to keep trying over the next few months. We have two weddings next summer, one abroad. I'm a bridesmaid in both. One is my brother's.
DH and my mum (we're super close) are both very firm that we should not stop trying for the sake of the weddings, but I keep feeling so guilty thinking I'm not going to be able to be there for my sister in law and best friend if we keep going and I drop on next month.
But the idea of putting everything on pause is even worse.
Just don't know what to do.
Absolutely hate TTC. Feel like my body has just let everyone down and maybe if I was slimmer/not as boozy I would have already fallen pregnant
Fingers crossed for May babies for rest of you ladies x

NatGee · 22/08/2022 16:09

@Louise34mum haha seems the trick is dtd as often as poss. Another lady, can't remember if on this thread or not, fell after 10 days straight of BDing. Taking a leaf out of hers and your book !
@ladydorito I wouldn't put it on hold either, unless of course, you are much less advanced than my sprightly 38 years of age and don't mind waiting. It's a very personal decision but bear in mind the older you are, statistically, the more difficult it gets. Good luck and baby dust xx

jalu47 · 22/08/2022 16:18

@NatGee 10 days? Wow that is a good effort! 3 days in a row this month and we both admitted it was a struggle by the 3rd day πŸ˜†
@ladydorito a tricky decision that is so personal. I had to stop for a month to get an MRI scan and it was really frustrating - I'm 40 now and I get a bit panicky with time passing!

calipoppy · 22/08/2022 16:28

@ladydorito I'm sorry you didn't get a BFP today, keeping fingers crossed for you but if not then I'm with your mum on this! If it was me I would be thinking you just don't know how long it'll take and if you stop for a couple of months and then it took ages it would be hard not to feel the what if for me! But as PP said it's so personal, you should do what feels right for you but don't worry about what anyone else would think!

NSx · 22/08/2022 16:54

@EdinburghGirl1 its horrendous 😩

NatGee · 22/08/2022 16:58

@NSx might be a good sign ?

Londonlady22 · 22/08/2022 17:19

ladies just after some advice, I live overseas and on my last day of pregnacare today, they don’t sell it in the US so I bought concieve plus off of amazon but now I’m having doubts about it as some reviews said it messed with there cycles which is the last thing I want, any advice on what I should be taking, obviously I know folic acid is the main one. I also take omega 3 as fertility specialist recommended it on a podcast I listen to! There is so much information out there it can be a little overwhelming!
