I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

Cycle 10 for me 😀

Best of luck to everyone!

Hi @Tophy124 . Trying for no 2 here too. I'm 36 and my gut wonders if it will happen again, but no harm in trying. Fingers crossed for us both!

Orangesaretheonly · 15/08/2022 06:30

Had a negative test this morning so was definitely a chemical so at least I know where I stand now. Just need to wait for the bleeding to stop then can start tracking again. My periods are usually 4 days so not sure if it will be the same or longer.

Mummyme87 · 15/08/2022 06:42

Sorry to see you got a negative test this morning @Orangesaretheonly be extra kind to yourself lovely.

EdinburghGirl1 · 15/08/2022 07:11

@Orangesaretheonly I'm so sorry you had a negative test today. As @Mummyme87 said be kind to yourself these next few days

cavebaby · 15/08/2022 07:33

So sorry @Orangesaretheonly. Hope the bleeding stops for you soon and, as the others have said, be kind to yourself Flowers

Aurora81 · 15/08/2022 08:36

So sorry @Orangesaretheonly πŸ’be extra kind and gentle with yourself over the next few days.

CDD1992 · 15/08/2022 09:17

Lion14 · 15/08/2022 10:55

Hi ladies, I had a static smiley face on my cb opk on Saturday and cheapie opks matched up with this but my temperature hasn’t risen dramatically. Do you think I didn’t ovulate this time around? Im on holidays at the mo and have had alcohol most nights and was sleeping in AC so I’m hoping this might be affecting my temp, what do you think? Has this ever happened to anyone where it took a few days for your temp to rise? Xx

Tophy124 · 15/08/2022 11:54

so sorry @Orangesaretheonly sending you a big hug and lots of baby dust xx

@Nichelette I’m in my 30s too and fingers crossed for you too. Feels somehow more nerve wracking this time, but I think that’s as I’m surrounded by pregnancies. I’ve only told 1 friend and my Mum that we are trying and joined this forum for a safe space to talk as I can’t handle people asking me about it all the time x

@Lion14 I find that ac impacts my temp along with if I didn’t have a a decent sleep too x

calipoppy · 15/08/2022 12:59

So sorry to hear that @Orangesaretheonly , such a horrible limbo time for you, at least you have your answer now but it's still so hard to have got your hopes up! Hope you're doing ok xx

NSx · 15/08/2022 13:34

@Lion14 when u drink alcohol it affects your temp!
mine always goes way high with booze 🍸 so it will be hard to get a clear picture whilst you’re drinking alcohol

Nichelette · 15/08/2022 13:38

@Tophy124 I know what you mean. I'm far more on it this time. Think I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but last Monday (shortly after AF arrived, late, after me thinking I maybe had a good shout at being positive) literally 2 people in my son's due date group got BFP on the same day, and another announced she was nearly 12 weeks. Happy for them, but feels like there is no escaping it!

Lion14 · 15/08/2022 13:47

@NSx yeah I think you’re right, I think I might just leave the temping for this month and see what happens. We DTD on CD 12, 13, 15 and 16 and apparently I may have ovulated on day 15 so we shall just wait and keep our fingers crossed for that BFP! How are you getting on this cycle?x

EdinburghGirl1 · 15/08/2022 14:09

@Lion14 baby dust to you for your tww. Hope you're enjoying your holiday

Tophy124 · 15/08/2022 14:22

@Nichelette That’s tough. Nearly everyone I went through pregnancy with has had another or is pregnant currently. I also have 5 friends pregnant with their first which I am genuinely so happy about, but my chats are now very pregnancy focused compared to before.

Very grateful for this group already.

@Orangesaretheonly thinking of you today xx

Tophy124 · 15/08/2022 14:24

Can I double check, if I have a long cycle (so actually losing blood for 7-9 days), would I still start my ovulation tracking once my period has ended or would I start it sooner? I read some people with shorter cycles start tracking earlier and I’m wondering if I should adjust when I’m tracking too? This will be the first month I’ve fully tracked and I’m due on Monday. Thanks all!

EdinburghGirl1 · 15/08/2022 14:32

@Tophy124 how long are your cycles normally?

Lion14 · 15/08/2022 14:53

@EdinburghGirl1 thank you lovely, same to you! ✨

NSx · 15/08/2022 15:22

@Lion14 im getting on ok, as per my OPK i should ovulate today at some point if I haven’t already … I got my positive at 9pm last night …
so hoping for a good cycle but u just never know πŸ˜…
I was on hol last month and found temping imposible with alcohol and enjoying my hol - so just relax, whatever is meant to be will be πŸ’«β˜ΊοΈ

Tophy124 · 15/08/2022 15:22

@EdinburghGirl1 I’m not completely sure. I think around 30 days but I will know for sure this month. My cycle completely changed when I had Covid in May, so I’m still trying to get to grips with my new cycle as it moved by around 10 days. Typically I will start my period now anywhere from the 20th-23rd so around 30 days

Tophy124 · 15/08/2022 15:28

I actually feel like my period (sorry unsure of the acronym is it AF?) is coming very soon! As feeling a bit sick, tummy feels off and I’ve got cramping. Of course we are meant to go on holiday Wednesday so it’s classic timing!

EdinburghGirl1 · 15/08/2022 15:28

@Tophy124 it's totally up to you really. I use CB ones and started at CD7/8 but I have shorter cycle and ovulated CD11 last month. If a 30 day cycle you probably ovulate around CD16 so might want to start say CD10/12 but it other more experienced OPK testers might be able to offer better advice. Will you be using the strip ones or CB ones?
