@Glawen 10dpo is still early to see a positive, especially if you're not using your FMU. Realistically there are no best days to test but you're more likely to get an accurate result the longer you leave it. Some women like to test early and try to catch the first squinty line and others prefer to wait until they miss their period and hopefully see a much stronger and clearer line, it's really up to you and what you'd find best.

Thanks @cavebaby - what's FMU? Sorry I'm so clueless! I did another FRER first thing this morning and another BFN. Still early, I know, so I'll have to hang on a couple of days more I think before doing it again. X

@Glawen Don't apologise, it's a lot to get your head around. FMU is First Morning Urine. It's your most concentrated wee of the day so it's advised to use this when you're testing early as it will have the most concentrated hormone levels. Fingers crossed you get your BFP in a few days x

Ah ok I'll do that then. Still bleeding three days now so I am sure it's a chemical. Will start ovulation strips once bleeding stops and try again for a May baby! 🤞🏻

@Glawen I think it's just a personal choice. If you've had a bfn today I'd be inclined to leave it a couple days or to wait to see if AF is due

I'm pretty new to all this as mentioned earlier but have a q hoping you may be able to help with (sorry if TMO). I'm still super early (6/7dpo) but woke up this morning desperate to pee, even after I went I still feel like I need to go and only a bit came out. I've been about 5 times this morning and still feel the urge. No pain or anything tho, anyone else had this before?

I think I ovulated yesterday evening, not 100% but seemed to have a peak yesterday morning and had a static smiley face. Just seems to fit.
I don’t think this will be the cycle for me, just a gut feeling. Didn’t DTD yesterday as I was working all day then out afterwards, got home at nearly 2am a bit worse for wear. Last time we DTD was Friday night, very late so was hopefully some little swimmers sitting there waiting but not getting my hopes up. I’ll be fairly busy over the TWW, got stuff going on this week, next weekend I’ve a night away with friends, then away at the in laws followed by a friends wedding.

I’ll still test like a crazy woman most likely 😂

So I think I’m 1dpo, AF will be due 26th august

Welcome to your tww @Mummyme87. I know it's hard sometimes to be positive but you DTD the day before ovulation which is good. I think that's one of the best days to make sure to DTD so little swimmers are waiting.

I'm CD10 today and second flashy this morning. Thought I'd get static as that's what happened last month but kinda glad as means I will ovulate a little later and give eggs some more time to ripen. I can feel the ovulation pain today so expect I'll get static tomorrow. Annoyingly looks like it will be left ovary again for 3rd time in a row. When ttc#1 I had 3 times with left ovary then the 4th cycle was right and that's the month I conceived. So in my mind I want to ovulate from right ovary as I know that worked last time. Funny how my body seems to favour the left side

@Mummyme87 fx for you ✨Friday was just the day before when you ovulated so hopefully there will be lots of swimmers waiting ✨

How is everyone getting on with the Ferti.Lily? I gave it a practice go today but not 100% sure I was doing it right. I did sort of forget about it and was trying to read the instructions in a hurry but it's kinda tricky. Kept wanting to pop out 😂

@CDD1992 i find the hardest bit getting it out but getting it in after sex isn’t that hard as you’re lubricated if that makes sense.
u will know when it’s in, then u hold it with one finger and pull it so it’s the proper way like a little upside down umbrella ☂ to keep Everything up there 🤪

Thanks @NSx ill try again next time and see how it goes. Getting it out was interesting, I was convinced it was going to snap and I'd be stuck like that forever 😂

@CDD1992 😂😂😂😂 yea the out is the hardest bit defo … I pull it slightly until I can get my fingers on the top bit and push it together to get it to come out, it’s almost like a suction so u need to break the seal- if that makes sense… u will see what I mean 😅

I gave up tea yesterday and I literally feel exhausted today and kind of headachy. CD 15, 2 dpo and waiting for fertility friend to give me crosshairs.

I’ve been reading the thread for a little while and decided to join. I have a nearly 2yr old and am ready for another (after 2 years of severe health issues including major surgery). I’m still anemic but on iron pills daily and hoping that won’t hinder any efforts. I’ve been taking prenatals for 3 months. I’ve been off oral contraception since I had my DS but DTD has been infrequent and this is the first month we got rid of condoms.

I will be starting to track ovulation from next month so I have read the thread with great interest. My ds took around 5 cycles to conceive but I had limited knowledge of SMEP or when I ovulated then. I did use preseed to conceive him so am tempted to order more.

I didn’t track ovulation this month but dtd a lot the week after my period and so got my hopes up but all tests have been negative. My husband had an accident at cd 18 which meant hospital visit and stitches and so no more DTD. I am DROWNING in pregnancy announcements at the moment. Very grateful for my DS but health issues and severe endometriosis mean I definitely wonder if it will happen for us again. I’ve wanted another baby for at least a year but major surgery where I had to relearn to walk and talk after put a hold on everything. Everyone around me seems to be pregnant or talking about babies non stop.

@SunshineMile Ive had the same going on today! It relaxed a little as the day has gone on but this morning I felt almost like I had a UTI as I kept having to go and had a lot of pressure, but no pain.
I should be 1 week out from my period so may be PMS but was very unusual. Negative pregnancy test this morning. I hope it passes for you as isn’t a pleasant feeling

Relieved to hear I'm not the only one, I also thought it may be a UTI this morning (no pain just pressure) but same as you seems to have improved as the day has gone on. I know it's not a good idea to symptom spot but it's so hard not to!!! 😆

Glad to be part of the thread. It’s definitely hard to not symptom spot. I have a feeling this month isn’t it for us. It’s so true that when you decide you’re ready to try again suddenly everyone seems to be pregnant, but I know in reality that’s not the case. As a pp said I’m always amazed at how I never knew in school all the actual ins and outs of conception. I was led to believe that one night of unprotected passion would mean instant pregnancy

@CDD1992 it’s not that bad once you get the hang of it, I’ve used it 4 times now. I’ll try anything for a BFP 😂😅

@NSx how many times can you use it? It says 6 cycles but is that 4 times a cycle or 10? 🙈

I think u can use it as many times as u want in a cycle - basically they’re saying use it for 6 months @CDD1992
