I purchased the cheap ones off Amazon. I tried clear blue earlier this month and I think the digital part wasn’t working as it kept flashing the book symbol at me. I’m going to try a month of the cheap OPKs and see how I get on. We dtd leading up to cd as the ovulation predictor kit predicted I ovulated then too, but of course it will be much better to actually have some date to look at.

@Tophy124 I got the book symbol the other day when I hadn't quite inserted the stick properly. Don't know if that might be the issue or could be something else. I know a lot of people like the easy@home ones though so hope they work for you. It is good to know

@Tophy124 if u go on the CB website it tells you exactly when to start testing - my cycle is 29 days and it asked my last period and told me to start on cd10 I got 1 x O 3x flashy and then my static so 5 sticks I used - still have 5 from this cycle 😀

Thank you all! Ready to start testing as soon as we are back off holiday, which should line up well. My brain is so illogical no matter how many times I say to myself ‘it can take up to a year’ if my husband even breathes in my direction I think ‘ohhh maybe this is the month!’

@Tophy124 I know what you mean. It took 4 months for my first so I know to expect similar or longer but I'm so impatient and want to be pregnant now. My OH doesn't have any children and I'm just desperate to be able to do this with him and for him to have a child of his own

it’s so unlikely for me as we only DTD once and we had covid! So not even sure if my cycle will be normal.
If negative will have a second go at a May baby though so will stay on this thread :)

@Tophy124 thank you. Just got my static smiley peak OPK so should ovulate tomorrow. DTD yesterday and will definitely be seducing my OH later now 😂

Thank you all for your messages and thoughts 💕 Can just wait for the bleeding to stop and then start tracking. Im going to buy the clear blue digital tests too to use alongside LH tests this month.

My closest friend has just told me she's 14 weeks pregnant. I've come off the phone from her and just cried. I am genuinely so happy for her. She has two beautiful kids already and fell first cycle with both, as she has done again this time. She was the only friend I confided in about TTC so it seems to hurt more. DP has just come home and reassures me it'll be our turn soon enough. Why does it hurt so bad though?

the bleeding will stop soon & u can try again… the CB OPK’s are really great I use both them and the cheapies, it’s a good combo…

@CDD1992 it’s perfectly normal to feel this way, I lost my girl in may and was supposed to be due 2 weeks after my fiancés best friend and wife & 2 weeks before my fiancés sister. Both of their babies are fine & normal pregnancies and I lost my baby at 17.5 weeks. It kills me that they are pregnant even tho I’m so happy for them.
Emotions are a weird and wonderful thing and TTC does crazy stuff to our minds 💕 it’s ok not to be ok x x

@BiscuitLover3678 our cycles must be almost in sync again! I’m expecting AF towards the end of this week. Not entirely sure when as I ovulated wayyyyy later than usual.

@BiscuitLover3678 I tested the last few days and all were negative so I think I will try and wait for AF, but I’m such an impatient person! I’m having all the signs of AF coming so trying to not get hopes up. Good luck with the test! I think I must be similar to you too as I’m due by Monday at the latest

@NSx Oh I am so sorry! That sounds incredibly tough. Do you have support in real life too? I imagine their due dates are going to be a delicate time for you. So sorry for the loss of your daughter xx

@CDD1992 I think it’s because often when we confide in someone we feel like we are in it together and it almost feels like we are left behind when they get the BFP and we are still waiting and it changes the dynamic slightly. My friend I told is pregnant and I definitely feel odd now talking to her about it all the time which is why I came to you ladies. Your time will come. It will. I’m so sorry tho as I know it will be hard hearing about the pregnancy and putting on a brave face. You can be happy for someone but sad for yourself and that’s ok xx

I’m getting there , I take it day by day, some are good some are bad, but I’m slowly getting back to myself.
yea I’m dreading October/November tbh, that’s probably why I’m putting so much pressure on myself to be pregnant again by then, it might soften the blow, but I guess it will happen when it happens x

'm wondering if I can jump on this thread with you girls. Hubby and I have decided to start TTC. I have been off my contraceptive pill since around November last year but we Havnt been trying (using pull out method) and avoiding the days when I think I might be ovulating. I'm cycle day 2 today although my period has been quite strange, not heavy and no clots and arrived a few days late aswell. I really thought I was pregnant and we realised how much we want another baby because of this. We have an 18 year old and a 7 year old already. My cycles still aren't very regular, 26 days, 27, 29 and the longest being this month at 33 days. I'm wondering do you girls just use ovulation tests? We're trying not too put too much pressure on ourselves so don't want to start temperature tracking etc. we're planning on DTD everyday when my period ends for around 10 days and I have bought some ovulation tests aswell. Is there anything else you would recommend?

Hoping I can join you girls. I have had a very weird month, usual cycle is 26/27/28 days. This both day 33 AF showed. But I seem to be just having blood when I wipe, not much on a pad. We wernt TTC but not preventing either. Had all the pregnancy symptoms (I have 2 children already). So we were both very disappointed when AF arrived although it's very strange and doesn't feel like a period to me I'm counting today as day 2 anyway. I have ordered some ovulation tests but I'm a total stranger to TTC as I have fell pregnant twice while on contraception. I came off the pill in November and have been using the pill out method since. I'm wondering if you girls have any hints or tips to help on my TTC journey?

@NSx I totally understand your thinking my lovely, and I would be the exact same. Sending you some extra special rainbow baby dust. I hope your family and friends will be understanding if you don’t immediately want to meet their babies. I know of you were my friend I would completely understand and support you anyway I could. Xx

@Tophy124 i do think they would understand but I hope it doesn’t get to that stage I think if I got my BFP before then, I think I would feel better about their births do u know what I mean?

Technically AF was due for me today/ yesterday and hasn’t shown but as I ovulated so late I’m not realistically expecting it until Friday. BFN on a FRER at 10dpo this morning though and zero symptoms so not hopeful.

Just had a look and if AF arrives on Friday as expected then my next due date would be my DS’s birthday!

@Jade57 Have you done a pregnancy test? An unusually long cycle and no proper period would make me think it was worth testing.

@MrsCristiano bless you I know how you feel, I’m proper down in the dumps today. My colleague who is pregnant was talking about her baby jabbing her and keeping her awake and for the first time I felt so jealous!

@cavebaby thank you, I do just feel though if you don’t get a BFP at 10dpo on a FRER then you’re out. Twice I didn’t get a BFP on a FRER until about 13dpo and both times were a chemical. And there wasn’t even a hint of a line this morning.
