I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

Best of luck to everyone!

@Orangesaretheonly I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this. I had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago, and the only way I knew was when I did a another test, it was more faint. I also went to my GP and they did a blood test to check my hcg levels. Lots of women bleed in early pregnancy, so if I were you I would do another test, and hopefully there will be a nice strong line. I am afraid it's really the only way to know right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The frer I did on weds when AF was due was faint. Did a cb digital on Friday which was positive 1-2 weeks and then the spotting started. Going to do another test Monday morning and then try and get a scan so I know either way and can start ttc again. Sorry that you went through this. It's the not knowing that's awful xx

Aurora81 · 13/08/2022 10:36

@Mummyme87 I find the premom app is affected by lighting. I often took a pic of the same test and it would give me different readings. I just line the opk's up on a sheet of paper and compare them visually. The line progression is clear that way. My temp rose again this morning, so ovulation was either cd 12 or cd13.

Mummyme87 · 13/08/2022 10:37

Much love @Orangesaretheonly
I would test again to assess the lines, blood isn’t always a chemical.

Aurora81 · 13/08/2022 10:43

@Orangesaretheonly my GP told me it was too early for a scan, as early pregnancy scan are only performed from 6 weeks gestation. Test again when you feel ready to do so, and at least then you will know either way. I know that's not so easy to do when you are scared. I pray that the bleeding stops and when you do decide to test you get a nice strong line.

CDD1992 · 13/08/2022 10:54

@Orangesaretheonly i have no experience of what you're going through but just wanted to send lots of love and hugs πŸ’• praying for you that this isnt a chemical x

NSx · 13/08/2022 11:20

@Orangesaretheonly im so sorry you’re going through this uncertainty but it’s not over yet, so have hope.
like the girls said, test again in a couple days to check lines. I’ve never had a chemical pregnancy before but I do know spotting can occur in early pregnancy - so there’s still hope, I have my fingers crossed for you βœ¨πŸ’•πŸ€ž

I’m on cd12 today and got my 3rd flashing smiley, hoping for my static tomorrow… will do a cheapie this afternoon to check LH
ive never had more than 3 flashing smileys has anyone else ?

Sorry to hear this @anotherscroller but welcome. What cycle is this for you?

Thanks! This will be cycle 9 for dc2, after mirena coil. Dd1 is three. Conceived dd four months after coming off progesterone only pill (without having a period coming back in between).

anotherscroller · 13/08/2022 11:57

@Orangesaretheonly really sorry for you, I’m sending all the hugs and good thoughts your way. I really hope it’s just a bit of spotting.
if it has been a chemical, you can start right again on the next cycle. But it must feel awful. I’m so sorry for all the worry you are feeling.

EdinburghGirl1 · 13/08/2022 13:34

@anotherscroller my DD took 4 months too although my period came back a few weeks after stopping the pill so was 4th cycle

Mummyme87 · 13/08/2022 14:15

@NSx i had 3 flashing smileys this cycle, previously had up to 4

Thank you. Going to do a pg test Monday and go from there. Then start ovulation testing! Again! X

@Orangesaretheonly sorry you are going through this. I had a CP last month so know what the anxiety is like in that period where you are hoping but fearing the worst!

My experience was testing positive on FRER at 11dpo and got a 1-2 weeks on CB digital the following day. I then spent the next week worrying that tests were not getting any darker and by 7 days later I had a negative test and started cramping and bleeding that night. Had a heavier period than normal with more cramping which lasted 7 days but my cycle seems to have returned fairly normally this month and have had 4 days of fertile CM CD 11-14 counting first day of bleeding as CD1.

Fx this is not a CP for you and your test will be ok on Monday xx

SpringTulips22 · 13/08/2022 16:23

Would love to join in.
1st month TTC and currently 5DPO.
I suspect I have endometriosis so this may not make it easy. Have a consultation with gyno about that in October, but have come off all alcohol and caffeine for this past month and am generally tying to be a bit healthier, mainly to help my symptoms, but hopefully to also help in the TTC journey! Let's see!

NSx · 13/08/2022 17:01

@Mummyme87 thats the same as me … 3 flashing smileys so hopefully tomorrow we get our static - I tested my LH it’s only 0.55 but defo rising so maybe by tomorrow I will peak 🀞 x

SunshineMile · 13/08/2022 18:01

The bleeding started 2 days after my first positive frer which was v faint on the day AF was due 14dpo and has just got heavier since yesterday. Maybe I should wait a bit longer to test then was going to test Monday.
you're right it is a really anxious time. Thanks for sharing, I'm glad I've heard from someone who's been through it. Haven't told anyone in real life and Google is driving me mad. Do I treat this as my period so when bleeding stops is cd1? X

Doodle10 · 13/08/2022 18:35

Evening all, just wondering how long you should have a positive ovulation test for? I tested positive yesterday and tested again today and it was even stronger. Does that mean I won’t ovulate for a couple of days yet? We DTD last night, should we try again tonight or wait until tomorrow?

NSx · 13/08/2022 18:38

@Doodle10 i would tonight because if it’s stronger - means you’ve not ovulated yet so should probably ovulate within the next 12-36 h

cavebaby · 13/08/2022 18:53

@Doodle10 Your peak is your highest recorded reading before they start to decrease so you may or may not have got a peak reading today and I'd definitely DTD tonight.

@Orangesaretheonly Sorry to hear about what you're going through, your head must be all over the place Flowers

Finally got my peak today after getting up and down readings for days. We are sweating buckets but will make the effort haha

MissDottie · 13/08/2022 20:55

@Orangesaretheonly the advice I found was to count the first day of bleeding as the first day of your period so count it as CD1.

Doodle10 · 13/08/2022 22:29

@NSx @cavebaby thanks both. I think I read too much into things and am probably trying to time things a bit too much! After you have your first positive OPK do you usually stop testing?

cavebaby · 13/08/2022 22:39

@Doodle10 Keep testing for at least a few days to see that your LH levels decrease again. Sometimes your levels can rise, drop and rise again or they can appear high but, as you've found, go on to become higher. It's only your final highest temperature that is your peak reading. You can record a high reading that you think is your peak but you won't know that's actually it until you've carried on testing and seen that your LH levels have come down and stayed down afterwards x

Doodle10 · 13/08/2022 22:53

@cavebaby thank you, that’s really helpful. I will keep testing!

Glawen · 14/08/2022 07:57

Hi all! Welcome to those that have joined, let's hope we're not here too long seeking advice, but celebrating ❀️

I am 10dpo today and got a BFN last night on a FRER.. it is early though and our first attempt so I am trying to be realistic.

What days do you think are best to test? AF is due in 4-5 days xx
