I don’t know what I’m doing with the emojis this month. Got the star signs in there though!

Cycle 10 for me 😀

Best of luck to everyone!

CD 13, temp rose from 36.11Β°c to 36.31Β°c..Clearblue and cheapie peaked only yesterday... Looks like I ovulated CD 12 πŸ€”πŸ˜¦

cavebaby · 12/08/2022 09:22

@Aurora81 Did you DTD in that time frame?

CD 17 here and think I may be going to get a peak OPK today as it was 0.7 just now. However it was up to 0.6 on CD14 and then went down again so who knows. I seem to get these 'false starts' where my LH rises but then goes down and then it rises again, does anyone else get this?

Also temping is a nightmare when you have a toddler waking up crying at the crack of dawn. Cant exactly ask her to just hold on whilst I spend two minutes waiting for the thermometer to beep haha

NSx · 12/08/2022 09:24

@Aurora81 welcome to your 2WW πŸ€žπŸ’«βœ¨ sending lots of baby dust

Aurora81 · 12/08/2022 09:42

@cavebaby we dtd cd8, CD 10 and CD 12. We are going to dtd again today just in case. My opks went from completely negative to high in one day, so keep an eye on your opks. Also, I got 3 flashing smilies including yesterday morning and then yesterday evening when I tested again I got a peak on the Cb opk.

NatGee · 12/08/2022 10:02

@cavebaby I am not sure but I think estrogen may rise in a staggered rather than in a linear manner as you approach ovulation perhaps?

Aurora81 · 12/08/2022 10:25

@NSx l have ovulation pain right now so I literally don't know πŸ€” I didn't sleep well last night as it was warm and my DH was snoring 😴

NSx · 12/08/2022 10:29

@Aurora81 if I were u I would keep testing just Incase it can take upto 36 h to ovulate apparently

anotherscroller · 12/08/2022 11:34

Hi! Dragging myself over here from the April board. CD1 today.
good luck to all!

EdinburghGirl1 · 12/08/2022 11:39

Sorry to hear this @anotherscroller but welcome. What cycle is this for you?

Foreverhopeful92 · 12/08/2022 13:24

Hi All

Finally made the decision to sign up after scrolling these threads for a while!

i have about 4 friends who all conceived very quickly which is making this feel even harder even though I know it can take a year (at least!)

CD1 cycle 6 (although I’m mentally telling myself it’s cycle 4 as we didn’t use OPKs properly the first two months)
TTC #1

hope I can join you all!

Good luck to everyone for those BFPs!

NSx · 12/08/2022 13:31

@anotherscroller @Foreverhopeful92
welcome ladies πŸ’• I hope this cycle is great for u both - sorry that you find yourself here though 🌸

H1994 · 12/08/2022 13:44

@anotherscroller hello! Hope you're alright. Welcome to May! My OPK's arrived today, CD3... roll on this cycle!

EdinburghGirl1 · 12/08/2022 13:50

@Foreverhopeful92 welcome. Hopefully cycle 6 is a lucky one for you. I too have friends who have conceived very quickly. A few did when I was ttc#1 which I found hard at the time

Mummyme87 · 12/08/2022 14:02

@Aurora81 i reckon you’re ovulating today and your BBT is raised due to the heat and not sleeping well

I did a cheapie OPK this morning and it was much darker than yesterday although β€˜low’. I would prefer not to get a peak today, tomorrow would be better for more better timed DTD

Foreverhopeful92 · 12/08/2022 14:18

@EdinburghGirl1 @NSx

thank you both! Wishing you all the best for this cycle!

@EdinburghGirl1 - I’m so so happy for them all but the more of my friends that it happens quickly for I think the more I just panic there’s something wrong as its not happened that way for us! But I think I’m just a worrier!!!

EdinburghGirl1 · 12/08/2022 14:23

@Foreverhopeful92 it's very easy to worry about these things and it's hard when for some people it happens quickly but they do say it can take up to a year for a healthy couple and it's something like only a 20% chance of falling pregnant each cycle even if timing is right etc.

NatGee · 12/08/2022 14:26

@Foreverhopeful92 welcome! I am cycle #3 now and I do the same in my head, that this is actually the first one as I wasn't armed with all the knowledge and tools I am now haha

@H1994 ah brilliant! what OPK did you go for? I bought the purple CB one, that flashes

Foreverhopeful92 · 12/08/2022 14:27

@EdinburghGirl1 definitely! I remember when I first heard the 20% statistic I couldn’t believe it was true as it just seems so low! And the fact you’re only fertile for a small number of days each month!
So much for thinking you just stop using protection and it’ll happen! I think I was naive in that sense but you’re just never told it or taught it! It’s only when you want to starting TTC that you realise!
Thank you for the encouraging words!
What cycle number are you on?

H1994 · 12/08/2022 14:28

@NatGee I just got some cheapy one step ones from amazon!! First cycle of tracking... 2nd cycle TTC No.1

I hope the flashing ones work for ya! They seem easier to understand but they're pricey!

Foreverhopeful92 · 12/08/2022 14:31

@NatGee - thank you! Agreed I look back now and was completely clueless on my first couple of cycles! I used the CB flashing and static smiley OPKs but used them completely wrong! Haha!
I’ve switched to the cheapies now as I like to physically see the line progression! Although attempting to read whether it’s high or peak is definitely a skill I never knew I needed! Ha!!

NatGee · 12/08/2022 14:37

@H1994 I must say I like oneStep. Only done their pregnancy tests, they look cheap and flimsy but are actually really sensitive. I have their LH strips too, like loads of them ha so ill use them too with the OPK to be extra sure
@Foreverhopeful92 tell me about it! naive doesnt even describe me just two months ago. First month I thought, yeah, it's a done deal, simple. Here I am two cycles later realising it's actually harder work than I thought
I am also 38 yo which I am sure does not help matters.

H1994 · 12/08/2022 14:42

@NatGee ahhh that's good, yeah they're ultra sensitive! And yeah, doubling up sounds good!

Foreverhopeful92 · 12/08/2022 14:43

@NatGee hopefully this is our cycle! What CD are you?

NatGee · 12/08/2022 14:46

@Foreverhopeful92 CD6. Starting SMEP from Sunday, CD8. I see you're on CD1 - enjoy the break, it's a good time to replenish all your energies !

Foreverhopeful92 · 12/08/2022 14:48

@NatGee oh gosh good luck with SMEP!! Not sure I’ll be able to try that approach - sounds hard work! Haha!
