Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

Aw thanks @DesertSnow 🥰🥰. How exciting that you'll be trying soon...have you got your mountain of vitamins?

@dobby13 an official congratulationss!!

@HippeePrincess 16 weeks already that is crazy! And how exciting to find out the sex have you got a nane yet?

@Welshgal85 its cycle two for us as well! Even though we know all the facts and the liklihood of it happening living through the reality can still be hard!

So sorry your feeling this way @BritishDesiGirl I've been listening to fertility meditations and its helped a bit to switch some of my negative feelings...it can just spring out of nowhere its so crazy! I really hope you find that thing that keeps you anchored. Sending love!

@WingingIt09 Yaaay I'm so happy something is being done!

PinkButtercups · 22/08/2022 21:10

WingingIt09 · 22/08/2022 20:07

Congratulations @dobby13 nothing like seeing it in writing!

I've had some good news today - GO has referred me to gynaecology for investigation. Blood tests and pelvic ultrasound to start with. They have also advised 75mg aspirin from when I next get a positive test and to contact them for a referral to EPU so that I can be prescribed progesterone! Definite progress which has made me cry with relief that something is being done to try and prevent me going through another loss.

This is so positive and I'm glad they're finally taking you seriously.

@LauraA31 amazing test! Baby measured 9+1 on Saturday ❤️ I've had transvaginal scans before (not for pregnancy) and they aren't too bad, just try not to think about it 😅

@HippeePrincess how lovely 💙 I think we're going to do a gender scan at 16 weeks too!

@PinkButtercups they're obsessed with bmi aren't they 😒 I lost weight with my last pregnancy and they kept going off my booking weight, but ignored me when I said well I've lost weight now 🥴

Yes they are!

My midwife last time was quite good tbh! From what I've seen of my twin midwife this time she is lovely! But then again I am known to voice my
opinion Blush. When I was induced with DS there was a horrible midwife and I mean horrible and I told her there and then she isn't to be anywhere near me or take part in my care. Best decision I made!

DesertSnow · 22/08/2022 21:51

@dobby13 Congratulations! Must feel reassuring to see it in writing. I guess it's just a waiting game now? Try to keep busy and take care of yourself.

Congrats @HippeePrincess that's so exciting you're having a little boy! What do you have already at home - this is #3 if I remember correctly?

@Welshgal85 I hear what you're saying about being in your own head! I'm definitely an overthinker when it comes to anything. I think most of our DPs are probably more chilled than us - they're not the one monitoring our bodies and doing the calculations etc.

@LauraA31 Great dye stealer - exciting!

@BritishDesiGirl Sorry you're feeling so low about it all. You can always sound off on here. Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon.

That sounds really positive @WingingIt09, so pleased they're finally doing something! Fingers crossed the aspirin and progesterone do the trick.

@Nypie Ah thank you, I'm excited, nervous, all the things! Ha, well I'm taking folic, d, c + zinc and Coq10 - seeing how I get on on those! OH is taking a general multi-vit. Interested in the fertility meditations - are they from an app? Are they supposed to help you relax?

Nypie · 23/08/2022 02:07

@DesertSnow those all sound great I wish I invested in a coq10 before this! You may also want to take magnesium if your worried about your stress levels.
The meditation I listen to is actually on youtube it's pura rasa fertility guided meditation I've been falling asleep to it for a few days so relaxing for me 😂😂 but I love guided meditation. Its a mix of visualisation, affirmations and relaxation so won't be for everyone!

tryingtryinggone · 23/08/2022 07:42

Completely convinced I was out this month. 11dpo and not due af until Friday so just hoping it sticks 🤞🏼 Honestly can’t believe it

@tryingtryinggone Congratulations

EdinburghGirl1 · 23/08/2022 08:30

@tryingtryinggone amazing congratulations. It seems there's been a few ladies on MN recently that thought they were out and then got their bfp. Have you had any symptoms? What cycle was this?

Dreamingof3 · 23/08/2022 08:37

Congratulations @tryingtryinggone it's always when you think you're out!

@WingingIt09 I'm so glad they're giving you support now! Keeping everything crossed for you that you get a sticky baby soon xxx

HeathenPlayingHouse · 23/08/2022 10:34

Congratulations to all the BFPs!

@Nypie I did sign up to a local ASD Support group, but it's honestly not a lot of help because it just posts events and meet ups, and all the kids are a lot older than DS. I'll have to look some more online.

@DesertSnow Thank you, that is helpful. I'm hoping that being around another child daily would help with this development too, since they could learn together. So it's good to hear that that can happen.

Tropicana1 · 23/08/2022 11:33

@tryingtryinggone congratulations! I was the same - month of zero "symptoms" in the tww got my bfp!

Havanalily1806 · 23/08/2022 11:51

Hi all

Congrats on all the BFPs! Amazing news.

I posted in here earlier this month that we were starting to TTC.

I started OPK testing and seemed to peak around 12 August but my BBT didn't rise, I am now CD 52 (came off pill 4 month ago and still all over the place but this is my longest stint so far)

Continued to test with OPK and had a higher peak on Sunday.

Absolutely no idea what is going on... DTD just incase Sunday and Monday, also rang the doctor who have agreed to do bloods so that something I suppose.

Anyone got any advice on BBT? Is it hard to get wrong? I think I'm a bit of a light sleeper so not sure how much that affects things?

SarahShorty · 23/08/2022 12:09

I'm on CD26, 5DPO today. It's mine and DH's wedding anniversary on Sunday, so I'm not going to test on that day as I don't want to ruin it with a negative test. I don't want to test at all really, sick of seeing just the one line.

Hope everyone is okay xx

EdinburghGirl1 · 23/08/2022 13:17

@Havanalily1806 maybe your body geared up to ovulate but then didn't and now it is. How is your BBT now? Did you get the post ovulation spike this time?

@SarahShorty that's a good idea. I hope you have a lovely anniversary celebration and that should keep your mind off things. I'll probably end up testing at the weekend as will be 11dpo on Saturday

SarahShorty · 23/08/2022 13:40

@EdinburghGirl1 Thank you xx Sundays are normally nice and chill in our house, so should be a relaxing day. Good luck for if you do test on Saturday xx

EdinburghGirl1 · 23/08/2022 13:41

@SarahShorty love a chilled Sunday. We have a chilled one planned this weekend too. Thanks. I'm not hopeful at all but will update when I do it

DesertSnow · 23/08/2022 18:43

@Nypie That sounds interesting about the meditation, I might look into it when we start trying. Didn't know that about magnesium, thanks for the tip!

@tryingtryinggone Amazing news, congratulations!

@Havanalily1806 I think if you have disrupted sleep your BBT readings might be less reliable - rocky mountains style. Like Edinburgh Girl said, perhaps your body was preparing to ovulate but didn't for some reason, and is now trying again. Good to get yourself covered with DTD anyway, and blood tests.

@SarahShorty Happy early anniversary - hope that takes your mind off things. A good chilled day sounds like what you need.

@EdinburghGirl1 Good luck with testing, let us know how it goes.

Havanalily1806 · 23/08/2022 20:20

@EdinburghGirl1 yeah that's what I've put it down to.. or at least trying to again. Haven't had BBT spike yet, but OPK readings are still quite high- hopefully it will spike in the morning

Havanalily1806 · 23/08/2022 20:22

Thanks @DesertSnow- yeah covering ourselves just in case whatever is going on 🙈
Feeling really crampy today- I don't usually but that could be a number of things so doesn't really help 😂

SarahShorty · 23/08/2022 20:33

@DesertSnow Thank you xx

WingingIt09 · 23/08/2022 20:36

@tryingtryinggone congratulations!

@Dreamingof3 thanks. I've already got blood test and ultrasound appts booked for investigation. Next Wednesday for ultrasound and Friday for blood test!

@EdinburghGirl1 sorry to hear about your wobbles but glad you’re feeling better this week! He knows roughly when I ovulate but think I’m just not going to mention it from now on. We’re trying to plan some trips and things to look forward too over the next few months so hopefully that will help us relax a bit!

@Nypie yeah I totally agree, it’s a lot to think about and I keep thinking ‘if I get pregnant this month…. If I get pregnant next month…’ I’m such a planner I can’t help it! 😂
Good luck with cycle 2 🤞🏻will let you know how I get on too!

@DesertSnow yeah for sure, I understand it’s just not front of their minds the same way it is for us. I’m such an over-thinker, I’m trying not to talk about it all the time as don’t want to pass on my anxiety to him. No sense both of us being stressed 😂 I do worry about my body being affected by me being such a worrier so trying to do things to relax and not be in my own head all the time!

LucyLoopyLu · 24/08/2022 11:48

Hi all 🖐

Feel like I have missed so much on this thread!
I'm CD14, 1DPO (I think - missed my peak but got 2 highs on Mon then low yesterday on OPKs). We DTD on days 9, 11 & 13 and probably trying for another go either tonight or tomorrow but I'm not too concerned as pretty sure we've covered it. I had some twinges yesterday which I think were ovulation. I also used some preseed on days 11 and 13 - no idea if it will make any difference but it was simple enough. I used it sneakily whilst my OH was in the bathroom before he came to bed so it didn't ruin the mood. I only used a little though because the full "dose" looked like a hell of a lot 🤣

Either tomorrow or Friday expecting my monthly migraine which will tell me I'm definitely in TWW. I'm definitely getting shorter cycles as the months go on (ovulating earlier) which I think is down to the expensive supplements - quite nice to have 2 or 3 days less to wait tbh - although if I wasn't TTC I would rather delay AF 😅

Feeling a bit more chilled this month. I think last month other people's pregnancy announcements messed with my head a bit. Anyway, famous last words - I'll probably be just as irrational in 1 or 2 weeks.

Hope everyone is doing OK

EdinburghGirl1 · 24/08/2022 12:40

@LucyLoopyLu good to hear a preseed review. I was looking at maybe getting some for next cycle so interested to see if it helps you this cycle. That's rubbish you get a migraine every month. That must be tough going. How long were your cycles before? Mine are short too, was 25 days last month and expecting 26 this month. It is handy for ttc as like you say less time to wait but certainly annoying otherwise having AF more often. That's good you feel more chilled this month.

@Welshgal85 thanks. I am a planner too so not knowing is so annoying

LauraA31 · 24/08/2022 12:58

@EdinburghGirl1 i used pre-seed this month too, im not saying it’s a miracle worker but i got my BFP at 9DPO… I think it’s a coincidence but i did use it this cycle, i liked it but thought that the recommended amount was loads so used what i felt was right 🙂

I used the clearblue lubricant one month and didn’t think much of it but the pre-seed was much better..
