Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

@LucyLoopyLu @Nypie Thank you both ❤️

I'm doing ok, it's just a bit overwhelming at the moment. OH says that he's just hoping it's a phase, although I know he's had doubts as well- I think we're just taking turns 😂

We've been chasing up follow up appointments but like most things, it's a very slow process. We're hoping that a sibling might help bring DS out of his shell, and also help to learn how to interact with other kids- he avoids them wherever possible.

I wish we had more time, but we're both getting older and my PCOS is only getting worse. We'll make it work, I just wish it was easier.

EdinburghGirl1 · 21/08/2022 17:39

@Jade57 I'm CD17 and 5dpo

Jade57 · 21/08/2022 17:40

@EdinburghGirl1 fingers crossed it won't be long until your BFP

WingingIt09 · 21/08/2022 18:22

@dobby13 looks like an early positive to me! Whispering congratulations x

@dobby13 that looks like an early positive to me!

@Theawkwardblonde I've still got awful sickness, my gp gave me cyclizine which is helping with the actual vomiting most days but still feeling nauseous and not able to eat normally!

My scan photos are awful 😅 very awkward baby and she also said that the scar tissue can sometimes make it harder to get clear images...but worries she was just too polite to tell me it's because I'm fat 🤣🤣 this is really zoomed in but you can kind of make out a baby shape

I can work out the baby! Don't worry I'm carrying a few extra pounds and my ultrasound said 'restricted by BMI' how rude 🤣. My BMI is only slightly over and they got clear images 🤣. Also I only put on a pound atm in this twin pregnancy and now lost that pound somehow! I actually lost weight with my son!

lj2022 · 21/08/2022 21:36

Congratulations to any BFPs I have missed think it looks like there was one or two!

Hope everyone else is doing well and keeping everything crossed for everyone due to test soon.

I've been struggling to keep up with this thread now with symptoms kicking in, fatigue is worse than I could have ever imagined, bouts of nausea and anxiety at an all time high and not over anything particular hoping after the next few weeks it calms a little

Nypie · 21/08/2022 21:46

@MichaelAngeloScreamedAtMe ohh thats quite good going! Hope its another quick one this time and dont blamr you fot not wanting to do all that with a little one to take care of!

@dobby13 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

@HeathenPlayingHouse are you apart of any support groups or in touch with any charities? Some of these ladies that have been there done that are an absolute force of nature!

DesertSnow · 22/08/2022 09:07

@Dreamingof3 glad the scan went well! Can definitely make out the baby!

Sorry a couple of you have been suffering terrible morning sickess, hope that vanishes soon.

Welcome @MichaelAngeloScreamedAtMe, hope it happens for you quickly this time again.

Sorry about the BFN @Bananatoast123 - fingers crossed the next cycle is it for you.

@HeathenPlayingHouse That sounds really tough, I'm sorry. This may not be helpful but I know of someone who had a child with similar challenges, and decided they didn't want another baby because of it - but then got pregnant by accident, and they said it was the best accident ever - having a younger sibling massively helped the older one's development. Just anecdotal I know, but maybe helpful if you're second guesing yourself.

Hi again @Nypie sounds like you've been having a tough time, hope things are settling a little.

@dobby13 definitely looks like a line! Fingers crossed it progresses nicely for you, keep us updated. Just when you thought you were out!

Hope you're doing ok @SarahShorty - glad you have a plan of action.

I was a little worried this weekend as I got my peak LH on Friday afternoon, and every other time I've got that, next morning my temperature rose, but nothing Saturday or Sunday. But this morning looks like it's risen, so fingers crossed. Then it's onto AF and next cycle we officially start trying! Spent yesterday around a 1-year-old and was definitely feeling very broody!

dobby13 · 22/08/2022 10:18

Morning all - i spent most of yesterday trying to make sure I kept calm. Woke up at 5am, and couldn't sleep so thought I would just check to see whether anything was picking up on a clearblue, and here it is in writing. Still anxious - AF isn't due until Wednesday/Thursday so it feels very early to know. Not really sure what to do with myself now.

DanisEndo · 22/08/2022 11:35

Ahhhhhh @dobby13 thats so so exciting! Congrats :)

dearhummingbirds · 22/08/2022 12:05

Congratulations @dobby13 !! Amazing news.

HippeePrincess · 22/08/2022 12:15

Congratulations @dobby13 !

Also congratulations @Dreamingof3 now you can breath a bit!

@Theawkwardblonde id look up the guidelines and also the chart which tells you how bad your sickness is on a scale. And then go back armed with that to the GP and demand something prescribed. Sickness that severe isn’t normal and you shouldn’t have to put up with it til 12 weeks!

I had horrendous heartburn with my DD and I sat at the GP and said I wouldn’t move til I had a prescription, I was 28/30 weeks and he’d said sleep sitting up. I asked him if he would sleep upright for the next 12 weeks and how he would be able to function in addition to bathroom breaks and kicking from the baby.

HippeePrincess · 22/08/2022 12:16

Oh and I’m 16 weeks so we booked a scan yesterday and found out baby is a boy 💙

EdinburghGirl1 · 22/08/2022 12:33

@dobby13 amazing. Must feel so good seeing it in writing

Welshgal85 · 22/08/2022 13:13

Hi ladies,

It’s been a busy few weeks here, really busy with work and then had a weekend away so lots of distractions. AF arrived, though I wasn’t expecting a BFP as it was only our first month trying. This month will be cycle 2 so we’ll see how we get on 🤞🏻

Im definitely in my own head a bit too much I think, it’s all feeling a bit overwhelming. I’m trying not to out to much pressure on myself as know that won’t help things. I think because I’m in my late 30’s isn’t helping this feeling! DP is a lot more chilled than me about it all!

LauraA31 · 22/08/2022 13:18

@dobby13 Congratulations!! 🎉🎉
@Dreamingof3 how exciting to have the scan photos! How far are you? I have a private one booked for 7 weeks just to make sure all looks ok for that time, the lady at the place mentioned they might do a trasvaginal if the abdominal doesn’t pick much up…. Id much rather stick to the abdominal!

Im 4+2 today according to last AF, got a dye stealer after not testing for several days… im terrified something will go wrong but so happy at the same time! X

BritishDesiGirl · 22/08/2022 16:54

Hi, everyone

I was going to post at the start of my tww. On cycle 3 for me. Dpo 7 l feel so defeated and incredibly negative l actually dont know if l want to carry on trying . The dread and anticipation of waiting is just so difficult. I hate it.

Massive congratulations to everyone with positives!!

Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

Dreamingof3 · 22/08/2022 17:07

@LauraA31 amazing test! Baby measured 9+1 on Saturday ❤️ I've had transvaginal scans before (not for pregnancy) and they aren't too bad, just try not to think about it 😅

@HippeePrincess how lovely 💙 I think we're going to do a gender scan at 16 weeks too!

@PinkButtercups they're obsessed with bmi aren't they 😒 I lost weight with my last pregnancy and they kept going off my booking weight, but ignored me when I said well I've lost weight now 🥴

EdinburghGirl1 · 22/08/2022 17:49

@Welshgal85 it can definitely be overwhelming. I'm in my late 30s too, turning 38 in November. I think guys are generally more chilled about it.

@BritishDesiGirl aw I'm sorry you're feeling like that. Ttc can be tough. I'm cycle 3 6dpo so very similar place to you. It can take time but it will be so worth it. Try to do something nice for yourself this week or plan something with friends/DP to keep you distracted and cheer you up a bit.

Welshgal85 · 22/08/2022 18:07

@EdinburghGirl1 yeah DP is more laid back than me in so many ways 😂

I think he’s happy to just go with the flow whereas I’m monitoring my cycle and using OPK’s. I feel like now I’ve started doing that I can’t stop. I don’t want to put pressure on us to DTD and for the fun to be taken out of it but I guess scheduling it that way just has to happen.

how are you getting on?

EdinburghGirl1 · 22/08/2022 18:13

@Welshgal85 yeah I also track and take OPK. I don't tell my DP when I ovulate so it's not totally scheduled even though I do in my mind. I think you can still have some fun with it and make sure to have some fun out with the window so you're still enjoying yourselves I'm doing ok 6dpo today and coping ok but think that's because I just don't feel hopeful this month. I had some major wobbles last week about how long it could possibly take etc but feeling better this week

WingingIt09 · 22/08/2022 20:07

Congratulations @dobby13 nothing like seeing it in writing!

I've had some good news today - GO has referred me to gynaecology for investigation. Blood tests and pelvic ultrasound to start with. They have also advised 75mg aspirin from when I next get a positive test and to contact them for a referral to EPU so that I can be prescribed progesterone! Definite progress which has made me cry with relief that something is being done to try and prevent me going through another loss.

@WingingIt09 I’m so pleased to hear you’re getting some next steps finally and having people listen to you and try work it out with you! Fingers crossed for our next cycle and hopefully these little changes work for you!

EdinburghGirl1 · 22/08/2022 20:17

That's great news @WingingIt09
