WingingIt09 · 25/07/2022 14:45

Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

Argh Cd28 af due today, convinced I was pregnant and ready to test in the morning and looks like af is here

PinkButtercups · 16/08/2022 21:50

Thank you all 🥰.

@LucyLoopyLu Thank you! Yes glad to see all chambers in heart etc! The weeks have completely flown by. Second pregnancy goes super fast and no one warned me! 🤣.

I'm just super tired this week!

LucyLoopyLu · 16/08/2022 21:55

@PinkButtercups aw well you're half way there! Hope you manage to get some time to put your feet up. Must be amazing seeing all that on the scan

Thank you. My 3 year old DS is such a good boy. Helps me out so much (when he wants to of course) 🤣. I'll say 'mummy's a bit tired' and he'll go fetch me a blanket. He's the cutest.

Thank you! Less than half way now as hopefully they'll stay tucked up until 36 weeks.

EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 06:23

@Bananatoast123 @SarahShorty they would be so funny. We will wait and see. Now officially in the tww. My aunts on my dads side are non identical twins but my mum was adopted so don't really know that side's history.

I quite liked the reflexology. Nice and relaxing. I don't have tickley feet so was fine. Who knows if it helped or not but there's no harm trying and I got my bfp 2 weeks later. That's good the massage is helping. That sounds like good plan you've got. Fingers crossed you don't get that far. My OH and I actually ended up having a big talk last night about stuff (missed the show we were meant to be going to but this was more important and we needed to talk it out) so feeling but better today.

@keeponsmiling2019 sorry AF arrived.

@PinkButtercups that must've been lovely getting your scan and seeing all is ok. I can imagine it flies by second time round and probably more tiring

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 07:40

@EdinburghGirl1 reflexology sounds like it worked! I think I’ll stick with my massages - got 3 booked in over the next cycle so fingers crossed!

we dtd last night and I bled after (TMI) which usually means my cervix is low for just before AF and my OH has caught it as found out I have cervical entropy earlier this year (super normal in young females) so now I’m starting to think I’m out! Straight after told my OH and he said “we’ll keep trying”

I’m 8dpo so I’d have loved to think it’s something else but I’m not sure if would’ve happened if I was going to have a BFP!

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 07:41

@keeponsmiling2019 sorry AF arrived! Treat yourself to something x

EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 08:40

@Bananatoast123 that's good you've got a few sessions booked it. At 8dpo could it possibly be implantation bleeding?

Houseelf90 · 17/08/2022 08:59

Wow TTC really is a whirlwind of emotions isn’t it!! So I think I ovulated end of last week. Since Saturday I’ve had really sore nipples….fine when I’ve got a bra on but as soon as I haven’t, anything touches them it’s really painful!!

Last night I felt really nauseous and had mild cramps in lower abdomen….
Just about to head out the door to go to the dentist, bent down to get my shoes and had a bit of sick come up!!
I’m really sure it’s far far too early for any symptoms but it really plays on your mind and you notice every little thing don’t you!!

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 09:01

@EdinburghGirl1 yeah looking forward to them! I’d really like to think so but I wasn’t sure dtd could bring on implantation bleeding? Whereas I usually get bleeding after dtd due to my cervix being low just before AF!

EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 09:21

@Bananatoast123 it's so hard not knowing the answers isn't it. I suppose you'll know in a few days.

Officially in the tww now. Got to try keep busy and not going to symptom spot this first week as I know it won't mean anything

DanisEndo · 17/08/2022 09:27

currently on CD42 since my withdrawal bleed. and nothing. not a peep. no cramps, nothing. aching boobs on Monday and felt cranky yesterday but thats it (and could just be due to poor nights sleep!). Someone please send AF so i can start the next cycle.

EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 09:56

Aw @DanisEndo I'm sorry you're having such a long cycle. That must be tough. Hoping it comes soon for you so you can start properly next cycle.

dobby13 · 17/08/2022 10:06

Morning all. Hope you're doing well ❤️

@DanisEndo - I'm sorry you're having such a long cycle. Fingers crossed that AF shows soon so you can start afresh 🤞🏻

@EdinburghGirl1 - good luck with your TWW!

I'm on 6/7DPO and am, honestly, struggling. I haven't taken any tests (mostly because I know they won't show anything, and also because I just don't have them in the house right now) but am praying the next few days go quickly so I can POAS and put myself out of this misery 😂 (never been the patient type). No symptoms (but then, I was convinced I had symptoms last month and BFN). I'm off work from tomorrow for a few days, so going to keep myself as busy as possible to avoid just wandering around the house.

TLDR: TWW is tough.

EdinburghGirl1 · 17/08/2022 10:14

@dobby13 thanks and yes it is tough. That's good you don't have any tests and you are off the next few days to keep yourself busy. Hopefully it passes quickly. I am so inpatient too lol

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 10:18

@EdinburghGirl1 yes I’m going to test in two days!

@dobby13 we’re in sync! I haven’t got any symptoms either! 8dpo today!

DanisEndo · 17/08/2022 10:23

thanks @dobby13 and @EdinburghGirl1

Just bored of waiting for AF now! Especially as OH is on board with officially TTC next cycle!!

dobby13 · 17/08/2022 10:53

Yaaaay! How are you feeling @Bananatoast123 are you managing to stop yourself testing? Any plans to test over the weekend?

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 11:55

@dobby13 Tbh I’ve kind of gotten to the point that it’s not happening this month! I was going to test on Saturday as we are visiting friends and I want to know if I can drink or not! AF is due on Monday! I know not to test before too as I’ll only give myself the “oh it’s too early don’t count yourself out now” chat! How about yourself?

dobby13 · 17/08/2022 12:28

@Bananatoast123 I feel quite similar, just a gut feel that we haven't managed it, but I'm trying to ignore myself. I'm not sure on testing - I'll be DPO 10/11 on Sunday, so think I might take a test then, just so I'll have an answer!

IrishHilda · 17/08/2022 12:57

Hi all :) first post here but have been reading the last couple of days.
Actively trying for the first time so it's been fun getting to know all the AF/CD/DPO/TWW lingo and excited to be on a similar journey to others!

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 13:30

@dobby13 i know what you mean that’s how I feel! I just don’t feel any different to how I usually feel! What cycle number are you on? I’m dreading going past cycle 6. Is this your first?

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 17/08/2022 16:12

Ohhh I've not been on MN for an age but Dp and I are stopping trying not to get pregnant as of next month. No idea what to do (apart from the obvious) and slightly scared as well as excited!

SarahShorty · 17/08/2022 17:34

CD20 today for me. LH increased last night, but still no peak according to the app. However, LH amounts in the blood can differ from cycle to cycle, ie my lowest 'peak' was 1.66 and my highest 'peak' was 2.90. I had 1.53 last night which could have been my peak, but must keep DTD until LH is back down so as to not miss peak. I've had a lot of EWCM in the last few days. When D'ing TD, they (The Great Sperm Race documentary) recommend 'gourmet sex' which helps with arousal and is especially beneficial for the man because the muscle contractions will be deeper and further back, thus pulling more sperm. It's also helpful for the woman because the big O can change the pH of the vagina making it less acidic to sperm.

Sorry if none of that made sense lol just my brain dump for today.

DesertSnow · 17/08/2022 17:34

@LauraA31 ah, sounds like you're familiar with the family pressure then! There's also a strong desire from a few family members for us to have a boy, which is just a bit odd and just more pressure! I just want a happy, healthy child. Have you told family yet? I can't remember if you said.

@Tropicana1 Absolutely, healthy baby/babies is all anyone can ask for. Fingers crossed it's smooth sailing for you!

@EdinburghGirl1 That's the thing, it really is so personal but everyone seems to have an opinion! So frustrating that I have to smile and be polite at all the comments, hints, pressure etc. And the thing is, I want to have a child more than any of them want me to, so it's altogether bizarre and sometimes hurtful to hear the comments - though of course they don't mean anything by it. Hope you're doing ok and feeling a bit more positive.

@PinkButtercups beautiful scans! Thanks for sharing them with us. So pleased all is well!

@Bananatoast123 So sorry you're finding it so tough. I can see how 6 months could hit hard psychologically, even though all the stats say that's still relatively early - bet it doesn't feel like it. We're here for you, keep looking after yourself and try to distract yourself as much as possible. It's great you're taking steps to improve your health. Glad your OH sounds understading.

@Dreamingof3 That's annoying it put a bit of a negative spin on your happy news. I would have thought you'd definitely be able to see something with those dates.

@DanisEndo That's fab news your OH has given the green light! Sorry AF is being a pain and not showing up yet, I bet you're eager to get trying. I'm in a similar boat - we start trying after my next AF!

@jade57 As others have said, you could always ask for a blood test. Any update?

Sorry about AF @keeponsmiling2019. At least you're onto the next cycle, hope this is your one.

Welcome @IrishHilda - there's definitely a lot of lingo to get your head around!

@AccidentallyRunToWindsor Hello, I'm officially trying as of next month too. Best of luck!

I'm so impatient for AF to turn up so we'll officially be on our first cycle of trying. Still got a bit of a wait though, and I probably shouldn't be wishing for AF as my LP's shortish length is already concerning me! I haven't really got a plan of action over than try to DTD every other day in my predicted fertile window... Excited, nervous, all of the things!
