Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

@DesertSnow Still the same symptoms and BFN again today. My boobs have got so sore to touch today and I have been so nauseous. I'm going to wait another week before asking for bloods as I feel they will say it's just a light period and think I'm crazy for just "feeling" pregnant. I already have 2 children, had no bleeding with my first but with my 2nd I bled for the first 7/8 weeks similar to what I am now. They both wernt planned so I'm unsure what DPO I would have been when I got my positive test

tryingtryinggone · 17/08/2022 18:24

@dobby13 @Bananatoast123 sorry to jump in but I’m 5DPO today so similar ish to you both. When do you both plan on testing? I want to hold out as long as possible but the tww goes sooo slowly

Dreamingof3 · 17/08/2022 20:27

@dobby13 @Bananatoast123 honestly the month I got my positive I just knew we were out because I didn't feel anything at all....did a test the day before I was due on as I decided I'd rather see a negative and be prepared for it...BAM positive

So basically, don't count yourselves out yet!

Tropicana1 · 17/08/2022 20:37

@Dreamingof3 I also had zero symptoms this month when I got my bfp!

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 21:25

@tryingtryinggone @dobby13 well I ordered some from Amazon which have gotten lost in the post! I was hoping to wait until Saturday if they arrive!

Bananatoast123 · 17/08/2022 21:26

@Dreamingof3 @Tropicana1 I’m loving the positivity and I should be thinking the same! Not out until AF shows!! I’m trying my best not to symptom check!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 18/08/2022 02:16

@PinkButtercups Beautiful scan photos!

Technically CD5 now it's after midnight. I started taking guaifenesin cough syrup on CD3- I've still got a lingering cough that's not shifting so I hope it will pull double duty, but by god it tastes bloody vile! 🤮

Bananatoast123 · 18/08/2022 09:26

What does implantation bleeding look like? TMI but just had a tiny bit of browny reddy blood streaked in a small amount of CM… I’m 9dpo… don’t want to get my hopes up after managing my expectations of thinking it’s not happening this month. Aware this could also be AF spotting

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 10:31

@Bananatoast123 I think it's generally pinky brown so it might very well be especialy at 9dpo. I have never had it so can't say from personal experience but others might have on here. Fingers crossed it is. Hope your tests turn up soon for you.

Loving the positivity and interesting that several of you had no symptoms then got bfp

DanisEndo · 18/08/2022 11:06

AF HAS ARRIVED (with fury but lets skim past that and keep it positive) OFFICIALLY IN OUR FIRST PROPER TTC CYCLE! 💫

Now its started i cant wait for it to stop so i can start OPK testing, burn the remaining condoms and jump my OH. 😂
If my cycle plays ball this month I'll either ovulate on our 9 year anniversary or my 27th birthday. Praying for a miracle 🙏

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 11:23

@DanisEndo that's great news you can officially start ttc

DanisEndo · 18/08/2022 11:32

@EdinburghGirl1 thank you!

Bananatoast123 · 18/08/2022 14:11

@EdinburghGirl1 Hopefully! The tests are well and truly lost! I might pop to the shop and get some but I know I’ll try test today and it’ll be too early!!

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/08/2022 14:36

@Bananatoast123 maybe best to buy some tomorrow afternoon/evening then you can only really test ion Saturday at the earliest?

Dreamingof3 · 18/08/2022 14:39

Woohoo @DanisEndo good luck!!

SarahShorty · 18/08/2022 15:27

@DanisEndo good luck! xx
@Bananatoast123 My fingers and toes are crossed for you xx

Bananatoast123 · 18/08/2022 16:49

@EdinburghGirl1 thanks what I’m thinking! I should just go out and get some ready!

@SarahShorty thank you! Don’t want to get my hopes up though!

Don't know why my phone corrected to new year, I'm new here! On mumsnet! Next month TTC begins! Sorry just to clarify! Blush

DesertSnow · 18/08/2022 19:02

@Jade57 That sounds sensible to wait a little bit and then request bloods. You know your body best. Hope you're doing ok.

That sounds promising @Bananatoast123, fingers crossed! Annoying that the tests got lost.

@DanisEndo Yay, glad AF finally showed! Hope you get your BFP!

Hi @PPop, congrats on the wedding! Exciting times. I'll also be on my first attempt mid-end September. This is a great thread, hope you find it as useful as I have. There's so much info out there it's hard to wade through it all! Do you have a 'plan of action'? I think I'm going to try DTD every other day in predicted fertile window. Trying not to get hopes up for the first cycle though.

PPop · 18/08/2022 19:38

Hi @DesertSnow I've started taking pregnacare so I'm preloaded on conception vits along with the fella for his swimmers! We are "older" to be trying so I'm riddled with anxiety! Once we have done the vegas wedding it's a case of bye bye desogestrel and hello some baby making! Gonna try and roll with it a bit whilst keeping an eye on how my ovulation works, birth control has meant I haven't had a period for quite some time!
How about yourself? Any plan? We will be trying around the same sort of time as we merry 23rd sept and back from vegas 28th! Eeek!

DesertSnow · 18/08/2022 19:59

I know what you mean about being riddled with anxiety - I'm 31 so age is less of a concern, but we have a few issues between us including endometriosis and a shortish luteal phase. Plus (potentially tmi) he has a varicose vein in his testicle which could be an issue. I'm taking folic acid, vitamin d as well as vitamin c to try and help with the luteal phase, though not seen results as yet (early days). He's on a regular multi-vit.

Sounds like a good idea just rolling with it, at least to begin with, while keeping a rough eye on your cycles so you know what's what. I'm tracking cycles so hopefully will just time it right with the fertile window, but am aware that so many things have to fall into place for it to work! I'm getting married in November, so hopefully will have a lot of things keeping me busy to stop me getting too obsessed with it all (famous last words). Good luck!

DesertSnow · 18/08/2022 19:59

Sorry forgot to tag you @PPop. There really should be an edit button!

PPop · 18/08/2022 20:03

@DesertSnow it's worrying, I'm 35 in November so I just wanna get the little one in there asap! Though hubby to be totally isn't feeling the same pressure, the joys of having the slightly easier role...
ohh congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, you are doing the stressful bits all in the same year the same as us! We bought a new house in Jan, wedding September and hopefully we can fit in pregnancy before the year is out!
I wanted to come off the pill and start trying when we are there but I worry about how periods are going to go! Guess it is best to just enjoy the making whilst I don't know what I am doing...

DesertSnow · 18/08/2022 21:32

@PPop thank you! And yes to all the stressful bits! 🙈

I know what you mean, my fiancé is so chill and all 'what will happen will happen'. I think it's such a difference that it is our bodies that do the work - it really reflects in attitudes.

I know what you mean about periods - I'm worried I will get mine on my wedding day (and with endo my periods are really not fun to say the least). Definitely just enjoy and try not to overthink to begin with! Starting ttc is exciting even if there are worries there. Hope you get your BFP before the year is out to top off a big year for you!
