Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

I have been the worst, hormonal moody cow today. Mood swings, tears, the lot. It's like AF hormones but x1000. No idea what's up with me. I've already convinced myself that we haven't succeeded this month, which is bananas. Think I need a chocolate bar (or 12). Poor OH has just been feeding me cookies all day.

@Tropicana1 oh that’s reassuring haha, boyfriend was a little panicked for more than one 😂😂 he has been doing some googling, rather he didn’t bother haha! 🙂

@LauraA31 I mean for all I know we're both pregnant with twins I'm only 4 weeks today 🤣🤣

@dobby13 thanks xx hugs back. I've read somewhere before that extra moodiness can be a sign of pregnancy. Don't quote me on that, though. My LH has dropped which usually means a spike is coming, so maybe DTD tomorrow night, we shall see. I saw a shooting star earlier, first time ever. I wonder if it's an omen, I've got so obsessed I'm looking for signs lmao

@Tropicana1 haha we could indeed be! We must be close in dates, im 3 week today according to the last period calculations!

I didn't take a digital but my tests looked like that at 10 dpo and I'm currently 20+1 with twins.

Not saying it is twins but could be 🤣.

@PinkButtercups hahaha perfect! I will post the 11DPO test when i get home, it is a solid line!😂

CD1 for me. I'm going to take some of my old Clomid prescription this cycle- it's expired, but I've got 2 rounds left.

I'm just hoping that this heat cools down by the time O comes around- it's so uncomfortable, BD is the last thing on my mind 😂

Thanks everyone for the support re. the failed smear test. I've made a complaint to the GP and will see what they say.

I was at the in-laws to-be for a bbq yesterday and everyone was talking about 'oh when you have kids/when you have my grandson...' etc. - they're all expecting us to have a baby 9 months after the wedding. They don't mean any harm, but it feels like so much pressure.

I would welcome twins if I had them, but would prefer just one at a time I think! @LucyLoopyLu @SarahShorty @PinkButtercups Ah yes I've heard twins are hereditary on the mother's side - there are some twins on my dad's side, but think that's the wrong side on my part of the family (as it's about women passing on a gene that makes them more likely to release two eggs). But we would be happy with whatever we might be blessed with!

Can't believe you're 20 weeks already @PinkButtercups Are you finding your twin pregnancy different from your pregancy with DC1?

@LauraA31 How would you feel about twins? Are you planning on a 6/8 week early scan? What about you, @Tropicana1?

@Springblooms08 Hope you're not feeling too anxious and hiding the tests helps.

@WingingIt09 It sounds tricky with the dates of your brother's wedding. I would just say to go for it - I think there's never a good time, but appreciate that it's hard!

@DesertSnow I understand how you feel about the pressure, boyfriend’s family aren’t the best with him and we hardly see them- Christmas when we drop presents off and birthdays when we do the same. His dad is lovely but his mum just doesn’t make any effort with him, but when we see them they put so so much pressure on. For the last 4 years anytime we have spoken/seen them his mum will say ‘you’re holding me up on another grandchild’ ‘when are you having a baby, you need to give me one!’
Boyfriends grandma is amazing and we speak daily and see her every weekend, his mum even passes messages on through grandma about us having a baby! She even once said she would make the effort with us and come to the house every day when a baby is here (she’s been once in 6 years so far) I thought no you bloody won’t! Haha.. but she ramped on the pressure and it made me feel rubbish! Don’t let the pressure get to you, you’ll have a baby when you’re ready and the time is right for you 🙂 im dreading telling her that we are pregnant and it’s a horrible feeling because she’s not a nasty woman, just will be super overbearing and so far she has taken over with all four of her grandchildren especially at baby stage!

Oooo about twins, i wouldn’t mind! I know it’s not certain but mums side of the family twins are so strong, skip a generation and the eldest female has a set or two, grandma had three sets!! Her grandma had two sets and it continues up the line; mum and her sisters had none and im the eldest 😂
it would be a shock and a bit of re-jiggling the house but id be happy!

I do plan on an early scan, we are thinking 10th sept and according to dates of last AF I should be 7ish weeks 🙂

@DesertSnow i dont think I'm going to have an early scan but I won't rule it out completely.
I used to say I always wanted twins when I was younger and thinking of having kids 😂 now I have one child already I would prefer just one more / panic slightly about the financial implications of adding two more and also my first was a terrible sleeper so I think that X2 would kill me 🤣 having said that whatever we get boy, girl, twins etc I will be totally ecstatic with regardless as long as there's a healthy baby / babies at the end of it

@DesertSnow it seems to happen all the time. I know people don't mean anything by it but they need to remember that you don't know what's going on in people's lives. It's so personal.

@DesertSnow I'm 20+2 today and have my 20 week scan tomorrow! We're not finding out the sex of the twins but feel so nervous!

No, not really different. The only difference was early pregnancy and my boobs were so sore early on and had sciatica from week 6-16 just on my lower left side 🤔.

@LauraA31 congratulations! I had a good feeling about this month the other day when you said about your symptoms! I’m so pleased for you!

Eurgh I’m 7dpo and I’m not feeling hopeful at all that this is our positive cycle. I don’t feel any different and the weekend was a really hard one and I ended up really struggling with my anxiety and stress - crying my eyes out and getting all worked up! Feel I’ve undone all my good stuff I’d been doing to try help this cycle. I feel so negative now like we’ll never get there! It’s cycle 6 so maybe I’m just putting pressure on it all! Also didn’t help seeing the whole family and them talking about their little ones etc!

My OH was super understanding and tried to say let’s keep being healthy for another month or two and keep going and then we’d get tests for peace of mind! But I just feel so confused and frustrated

We told some more family yesterday (my brothers and their partners) as one of my brothers is getting married in a few weeks and I was getting pressure not to 'announce' too close to the wedding or they'd get annoyed 😒 so actually feeling quite grumpy about it

I also feel a bit crampy this morning so that's put me on edge and I'm tempted to try and convince my oh to book a private scan to check everything is OK....I'm 9 weeks today, or 8+2 by my dates so should be able to see something right?!

I heard some magic words from my other half this weekend. I jokingly said "lets make a baby!" (hes still using protection), he mysteriously replied "soon", I asked "what does soon mean?" he goes "well, why dont we try in a week or two?"

I know it seems silly as its not like he said "hell yeah right now" but feels like suuuuch a massive leap forward. Im so excited and terrified and am just praying that luck is on our side or he has super sperm or something so we can have started our little family pre wedding next September 😅🙏

@Bananatoast123 don't write yourself off yet - this month I had literally zero TWW symptoms and it was the month I got my bfp!

@DanisEndo I know exactly how you feel!! Fingers crossed you’ll be actively trying very soon!
Me and partner have had several conversations about having a baby “soon” over the last 6 months or so but have known we’ve wanted one for most of the time we’ve been together.

Since May he’s been dead set on “soon”…..my brain needs a date 😂 and then around a month ago we had a conversation as I was still on the pill and didn’t want to wait until he was 100% ready before I came off contraception and then have a few months trying to get my cycle back!! We agreed I’d stop taking the pill end of august but he said he’d use protection to begin with, and asked me not to get upset if he did……well, so far no protection! !
I think I ovulated end of last week/over the weekend, we’ve DTD several times in the last week so secretly hopeful although I know it’s unlikely this early in our journey!

@Houseelf90 My brain is exactly the same - I need a hard date 😂I had my coil removed to try and get my cycle on track and sadly he has been using the protection. But the thought of not in a handful of days has blown my mind! I think I'm due AF any day so will be nice to start with a full cycle ahead of us to give it a good go.

@Tropicana1 that’s good to know! Just feeling so negative which isn’t like me usually but feel like my gut is telling me it’s a BFN this month coming up!

@DanisEndo it’s a strange feeling isn’t it when it goes from “soon” to “in a few days”
I’m trying not to mention when I’m ovulating etc as he doesn’t want the pressure of trying, so at the moment we are just not preventing!

@Dreamingof3 you'll deffo be able to see something on a private scan at those dates. We had a scan at bang on 8 weeks and saw our little kidney bean floating around 😂

@Houseelf90 it really is! So so so exciting but terrifying! what if it happens straight away... what if it doesnt... what if something goes wrong... so many thoughts racing through my head until i see a babygrow while im doing the weekly shop and it all shuts up and just becomes "ahhwwwww 😍"

I think I'll do the same - I'll test with OPK but just so I know but keep it to myself and try and aim for DTD every other day. Just try and enjoy ourselves with it while i keep tabs in the background 😂

@DanisEndo I’m exactly the same!! Going to OPK test next month! We are both off on annual leave atm so I’m waiting till he goes back to work next week so I can order some or go shopping without him 😂😂
I’ll just test when I’m at home as I work from home half the time and the other days I’m home before him in the evenings! And then just try and DTD when needed….he will be fine with that, he would do all day every day given the chance so makes it a bit easier 🤣

@Houseelf90 ahah we're much the same but the opposite!
He knows I have the OPKs and I've told him I'll be doing it so thats a weight off cus i suck at being sly, hes fully time WFH-er and Im 3 days in london 2 days at home.
Ahaha yea DTD wise I think my OH is the same 😂
