Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

Aw thanks @EdinburghGirl1 only a few days left to go until AF puts me out of my misery. Really hope this month is it for you!

@WingingIt09 @LucyLoopyLu I wish I was like this. I can't tell you how many supplements and vitamins I have lying around. At one point I thought it be a good idea to get those 3d personal printed vitamins...still have two boxes lying around 🙄🙄

I dont blame you with the BBT but I kinda got used to again been doing it fo almost a year the OPKs I usually do just 3 or 4 as my cycle is very predictable and ovulation is painful so I know when its coming. I guess if you dtd frequently the OPK and BBT is not necesary especially if it causes stress...it worked for our mothers and grandmothers! Though Im a bit facinated by it atm.

@LucyLoopyLu 😂😂 my pee is quite yellow and pretty expensive. I got pulled in by the reviews. You mean you just looked at it and got pregnant!? SOLD.

lj2022 · 09/08/2022 19:02

@SVC11 that's very promising. I'm 5 weeks today and I had severe cramping at 6dpo then spotting at 7,8 and 9dpo and thought I was out and that my BFP was an indent then got my digital at 9dpo and my lines on tests are very strong now so may very well have been implantation bleeding for you also? It's all so confusing and sends you on a massive roller coaster

keeponsmiling2019 · 09/08/2022 19:44

@Tropicana1 yes that's defo a line! Congrats

LucyLoopyLu · 09/08/2022 20:30

@Nypie haha yes the most expensive wee there is 🤣 I always get tempted by spendy supplements. I spent a fortune on expensive vitamins to try and get rid of acne and none of them worked!

Tropicana1 · 09/08/2022 20:41

@keeponsmiling2019 thank you!
Just got this as well - couldn't stop myself doing it tonight 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

SVC11 · 09/08/2022 20:45

@Tropicana1 we might be baby buddies. How many dpo are you? Is this your first baby? I'm clinging on to my glimmer of hope but won't belive it until a week has gone by and my hcg has gone up to get that 2 to 3 weeks on a clear blue... Ttc truly is a roller-coaster

Theawkwardblonde · 09/08/2022 20:48

@Tropicana1 congrats! It's lovely seeing it in digital!

@SVC11 congrats! Don't be disheartened by any spotting. I'm 9 weeks and have had spotting since BFP. Had it all throughout first pregnancy too. Mine was down to irritation of cervix and hormones so nothing sinister. Try not to worry (easier said than done!)

lj2022 · 09/08/2022 20:58

@Tropicana1 ahhhh congratulations it's truly the best feeling isn't it 🎉 looks like a few of us will be due around the same time

Bananatoast123 · 09/08/2022 21:00

Definitely having a little wobble tonight! We’ve done everything we can this month and I’m trying to not get stressed! But I am already feeling my glimmer of hope will get shattered!

I need to give myself a talking to 🤣 and remember manifestations are key! I think it’s because it’s cycle 6 it feels like a biggy!

Just keep getting this feeling that things won’t be straight forward for us!

dobby13 · 09/08/2022 21:04

Eeeek! So many BFPs, I love it!!

@Bananatoast123 - everything crossed for you 🤞🏻everyone is allowed a little wobble, especially when TTC.

Bananatoast123 · 09/08/2022 21:06

@dobby13 its my own fault for googling things! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Everyone always tells when they catch on quickly but we never get taught when it takes longer than like 1-3 months and it’s so difficult to know what’s “normal”

dobby13 · 09/08/2022 21:10

@Bananatoast123 - completely fair, and I genuinely think there's still an assumption that it's just so 'easy' to get pregnant at any time, and it just isn't. Remember there's no normal - someone on another thread reminded me today that everyones bodies are different. You'll get there ❤️

Springblooms08 · 09/08/2022 21:58

I’ve got cramps and had some pink blood this evening so think I’m out for this cycle, feel so deflated. Only 9dpo as well, based on OPKs :(

lj2022 · 09/08/2022 22:25

@Bananatoast123 so sorry you're feeling this way. I think cycle 6 is when I started getting really upset and feeling that way. Hope you're doing okay

LucyLoopyLu · 09/08/2022 22:41

Sorry @Springblooms08 but you're not necessarily out! Maybe it's implantation? What day is AF due?

@Bananatoast123 hope you're ok. I had a wobble today too but I feel much better this evening. We’ve only tried for 4 cycles so I'm a bit behind you. It's so hard isn't it. I'm going to try not to compare myself with other people this cycle

Springblooms08 · 09/08/2022 22:50

@LucyLoopyLu I have fairly irregular cycles, but based on OPKs I’d think AF is due next Monday. Was planning to test on Sunday, which would be 14dpo. I normally spot the day before AF arrives, but never any other time in my cycle, so I’ll just wait and see if I come on tomorrow or not. x

Nypie · 09/08/2022 23:20

@LucyLoopyLu I'm glad I'm not the only one! I used to get sucked in by supplements that promised more energy at one point I was taking caffeine pills rather then just coffee dont know what I was thinking!

@Tropicana1 yay for seeing it in words must be a relief!

@Bananatoast123 aw I'm sorry your feeling this way! Your right though people usually hide their struggles and post the good times when in fact it can take a year to get pregnant and that is actually quite normal and I think a lot of us know that getting pregnant is not always the end of the struggle either. Its so hard.

@Springblooms08 🤞🤞🤞

Anyone testing tomorrow??

EdinburghGirl1 · 10/08/2022 06:24

@Springblooms08 fingers crossed for you and AF doesn't arrive

@Tropicana1 must be great seeing it officially on a digital test.

@Bananatoast123 sorry you're feeling like that and as @dobby13 there is no normal. I have one friend who fell first time with her first then took a long time with her second. You are right though not many people tell others when they are ttc apart from on here for example so we don't always know and not necessarily something you'd ask someone. It's so frustrating I know and I have no patience so hate waiting and for things 😆 so it's easier said than done. Be kind to yourself. I hope this month is your month

Bananatoast123 · 10/08/2022 08:12

@dobby13 @LucyLoopyLu @lj2022 @Nypie @EdinburghGirl1 thank you all for your kind words! You’re all right and it’s just a patience game! Cycle 6 isn’t that long to try for… and who knows, this month could be it! I think it’s frustrating for us all as we all do what we can each month and dtd but it still can not happen! it’s just mind blowing how they teach you like “don’t do it without protection or you’ll get pregnant”! I was so naive starting the process!

dobby13 · 10/08/2022 08:46

I think I may be ovulating today, as I've finally got my first smiley face on the clear blue OPKs 🎉🎉

Anyone using digital OPKs - Is it usually that you're ovulating from the first smiley... or the second? These ones go straight to static, no flashy smiling face first.

I'm already dreading the TWW, and slightly annoyed because we didn't DTD yesterday but did this morning (anyone in the UK will understand when I say it's just too warm 😂) hoping we've not missed our chance this month.

Preparing to TTC in 2022 - part 5
LucyLoopyLu · 10/08/2022 10:16

Hi @dobby13 I don't use digital OPKs just the cheap strips but I don't think you need to worry too much about missing yesterday. It can take a good few hours after your peak OPK for you to actually ovulate and sperm can survive inside you for 5 days. If you've DTD this morning then I reckon that's just as good as yesterday. Wishing you lots of luck.

Thanks to everyone for posting yesterday and keeping me more sane. I really felt low yesterday morning and so much better now. I've ordered some new OPKs and cheapie HCG tests and feeling optimistic about cycle 5. Just need AF to turn up now. Due today and nothing yet - I usually get spotting the day before so expecting that today at least.
Planning on having a few drinks this weekend and will try to forget about TTC for a couple of days.

Bananatoast123 · 10/08/2022 11:12

@dobby13 we’re in the TWW together! I think you’re all good! Sometimes we dtd one morning and then not again until the next days night! It only takes 1 too!

@LucyLoopyLu good to hear you’re feeling better! A few drinks sounds good - definitely treat yourself!

SVC11 · 10/08/2022 12:04

Thanks again to everyone for your support. Looks like my pregnancy tests have got stronger today so 🤞 it's sticking around. @lj2022 looks like it could have been blood from implantation or from somewhere else who knows!
@Nypie did you test today?
@LucyLoopyLu glad you're feeling better! Xx

dobby13 · 10/08/2022 12:16

Thank you @LucyLoopyLu - that puts my mind at rest a little!

@Bananatoast123 - oh good, we can go through the dreaded wait together!!

dobby13 · 10/08/2022 12:17

@SVC11 - I'm so pleased for you!! Keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
