Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

I'm 11dpo today and have a 2.5 year old already ☺️ what about you?

Bit worried that my frer line hasn't really changed since yesterday but all I can do really is hang on and see what tomorrows looks like.

@SVC11 yep I think we always just assume bleeding or spotting is no good when actually it can be a sign of other things.

@Tropicana1 my lines took days to even change at all at first now they're really strong think it's every 48 hours Hgc starts to double so hopefully they'll get a little darker soon

@lj2022 thanks that makes me feel a bit better 😊 - with my first my line was significantly darker every 24hrs so just got me stressing a bit. Nothing I can do though to change what's happening either way I suppose! Just hope tomorrows is darker!

Thank you all, I feel loved on here even if I've never met any of you in person xx It was a rough night finding that out. I've been crazy busy recently and have no time to catch up, so I'm sorry if it looked like I went AWOL.

I've learned that the thing about semen analysis is that more than one sample has to be taken and analysed as the amount in each sample can vary a lot. The numbers I was given were taken from the first sample and they were awful. But, it looks like while his count is actually normal, the motility is very low. So the numbers aren't actually too bad, he has lots of swimmers, the trouble is barely any of them move. However, on the first proper try which I'm calling 'Cycle 1', I had a chemical, so there MUST be enough decent swimmers in there. Instead of following SMEP this cycle, we're going to do what we did on the Cycle 1 and DTD on LH surge (peak) and ovulation day. If not successful, we'll get an actual semen analysis booked at London Women's Clinic (they're not offering them until September because of a lack of testers in our locale, the equipment is there gathering dust instead) and get their final verdict on what the next steps will be. While ExSeed is recommended and used by fertility clinics, it seems more sensible to actually be told by the consultant rather than by a phone screen, if that makes sense.

There is a still a chance without help, it's just matter of how long, and if too long, then IVF/ICSI may be our only shot. Looking back I was probably a bit too dramatic, but at the time it felt like my whole world came crashing down on me, so I apologise if I came off a bit OTT.

I'm going to try and stick around here more frequently as I don't want essays like this to be a thing with me 😂Sometimes you just want a nice clean TL;DR.

Anyway, it's CD13 today, so tomorrow I'm going to start charting and catch that peak day and see how it goes (I can't find the fingers crossed emoji lmao) xx

Congratulations to everyone with BFP’s!!

I’ve been quiet but have been reading all the posts daily!!

2nd August I had what I thought was a withdrawal bleed along with period pains and I posted on here, but it seems I got excited prematurely as only had a tiny tiny amount of blood and then nothing! Few cramps the next 2 days but no further bleeding.

For the last week or so I’ve had a thick white CM and as I have no idea where I am in my cycle due to being on the mini pill so long, I was researching what this could mean only to find out it’s likely to be the antibiotics I’ve been on!!

I had tonsillitis leading up to my last few days on the pill end of July and was taking Amoxicillin and then last week I had a tooth out, which lead to an infection, along with my tonsillitis returning so on yet more Amoxicillin!

Unfortunately haven’t been able to DTD too much as have been in a lot of pain, but I guess it would have been unlikely to be our month so soon after coming off the pill anyway! Hopefully I’ll get a period at some point so that I can at least have a vague idea of where I am in my cycle!

Sorry for the long post but just a little update on where we’re at!

Just a quick update following about the bleed yesterday - I really had the urge to test when I got in from a friend’s house tonight - I’m 10dpo. It’s a bit of a squinter but there is definitely a pink line. Just in total disbelief

@dobby13 the pain is easing thank you although definitely still there! Had the tooth out last Wednesday so it’s been dragging on a while!!

CD14 today, so back to charting; temping and LH testing. Neither of us are particularly excited or hopeful though we are staying relaxed. Hope everyone is okay xx

I’m 2dpo but ever since ovulation I’ve been feeling absolutely pants! No energy, headachey and just like I’m rundown! Does anyone else ever have this straight after ovulation? It could be that I’ve happened to get a bug but could it be my hormones going into the luteal phase?!

Hi everyone, took some time off here and woww lots to catch up on! Congrats to those BFP's and so sorry - sending so much love - to those who've had disappointment.

Still not officially trying but already my mind is playing tricks on me while i try to get my head around my cycle...

• Cycles vary a lot (between 20 - 48 days historically, average 35)
• Last period was 18/06 (55 days ago)
• Unprotected sex on 01/07 and 03/07 (41 and 39 days ago)
• Coil removed 04/07 (38 days ago)
• Relatively light withdrawal bleed 07/07 and 08/07 (35 and 34 days ago)
• Had a high OPK reading on 26/07 which dropped to low, then stopped testing as assumed i missed the peak (16 days ago)
• EWCM on 31/07 02/08 and 03/08 (11 9 and 8 days ago)

So can anyone decode that and help me decipher when i should expect my period 😂??

am i late because i should count from my last period?
or do i count from the withdrawal bleed and assume I'm due any day?
Or two weeks from either the high OPK (due any day/late) or EWCM (still a week to go)?

finding this all so confusing and would love to get my head around it prior to us 'officially trying' as know ill drive myself mad.

Anyone else only get one day of smileys from their OPK? Got a static yesterday (my version doesn't do flashy ones) and then, today, nothing. I'd expected to have more than one day? My apps are now contradicting themselves (one says I ovulated yesterday, the other today) - we'll DTD today and tomorrow anyway - it's just confused me a little.

Also. Got little to no sleep last night and am absolutely knackered 😭

@Bananatoast123 yep, 'tis normal. You'll start to get a build-up of progesterone as the uterine lining starts to thicken in the luteal phase. Progesterone will cause all sorts of things like as you describe.

@Bananatoast123 hello! Im 8DPO today and from ovulation ive felt rubbish too. Doesn’t normally happen to me so taken it as a good sign ovulation happened!

I have had the most tender boobs, even now if i touch them they’re sore. I have had spots every single day which only ever happened during AF and im super congested with headache.
The last three days ive been absolutely shattered, kept going dizzy too! Feel like I want to sleep all day! Glad it’s not just me haha!

@Houseelf90 sounds like you've had a rough time of it recently but hope you're feeling better now. Sometimes with withdrawal bleeds it can be light spotting I think. When I came off the pill I had first proper period about 4 weeks after stopping with withdrawal bleed a couple days after stopping. I know everyone is different though. It's hard not knowing where you are in the cycle at all though. I get ovulation pain though and EWCM so if you notice either of those in the next week or so you might be able to tell when you are ovulating?

@dobby13 I'm not sure as I use the other CB ones and I know with those once you get the static smiley it stays there for 48 hours as you have reached the peak so no need to do another

I'm CD7 today and started OPK since I ovulated on CD11 last month so want to start nice and early so catch the flashing smileys first. Really hoping I don't ovulate any earlier to give me eggs time to properly mature.

@SarahShorty thanks for the reassurance! I thought I’d caught a bug and I was out 🤣 I don’t think the weather and pollen count helps either!

@LauraA31 ooo this is reassuring! I wasn’t sure if it was a thing for me at like 1/2dpo but I’ll take it! You’re nearly through the TWW! When are you going to test?

@Bananatoast123 i can’t decide haha, i want to start now but know it’s just unrealistic at this stage 😂 I was going to try hold off until Tuesday because AF is due Wednesday but don’t think I will hold out that long.
I have no tests in the house though and did it on purpose so forcing myself not to buy any so soon ha! I just don’t want the disappointment of last month.
The TWW hasn’t been so bad for me this time; ive been super occupied with the boyfriends birthday at the end of the month so it’s kept me focused, and ive cleaned all the wardrobes out of old clothes etc so ive kept busy. Last month I was writing down each day how i felt and it did me no good 😂
