Hi ladies, we're onto thread 5! I'm afraid I've completely lost track of the list since I took a break off Mumsnet.... so let's make an updated one!

Roll call for those

  • TTC graduates.... pregnant ladies who are you and when are you due? Hope you're all doing well
  • Actively trying.... what cycle are we all in? Any particular plans for this next one?
  • Waiting to TTC.... what month are you planning on starting?

@Tropicana1 Thankyou so much I'm estimated 9dpo however I think I may have ovulated early since my first hint of a line was only at 7dpo which would be very early and unusual.

Bananatoast123 · 01/08/2022 20:58

hey everyone! Been quiet on here as been celebrating my birthday so just catching up!

congratulations @lj2022 hope it all carries on going well!

@WingingIt09 So sorry to hear you’ve not had the news you wanted! Let us know if you need anything from us on here! It’s awful you having to wait for 8/9 to happen for the nhs to take you seriously! That’s awful for mental health and physical too.

I’m CD7, AF only lasted 2 days which I’m not sure is alarming or not - it was a normal amount of bleeding on those 2 days though like (3 tampons full a day) so I am assuming it’s fine I only bleed for 2 days? I’m doing my usual of overthinking that my lining is too thin!

I’m not tracking this month or trying to focus on fertile window and just if it happens it happens - just aiming on keeping relaxed! Also we’ve got a family wedding abroad when the due date would be and we’ve just booked the hotel so feel like we kind of have to avoid this month anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️ So we will see!

Dreamingof3 · 01/08/2022 21:00

@Nypie I think we'll just wait it out. I have such anxiety around scans 🥴 my first pregnancy I lost at 11 weeks so in my head getting a 8/9 week scan and everything being fine then wouldn't ease the worry, if that makes sense!

Summerbreeze111 · 01/08/2022 23:59

WingingIt09 · 01/08/2022 11:39

Just spoken to the doctors as this is my 3rd loss and was hoping they would do something to investigate. Because I have had healthy pregnancies in the past the fertility services won't accept a referral until I've had multiple (by which they mean 8 or 9) first trimester losses. How is that fair to say I potential have to do this 8 or 9 times before they'll do anything.

I'm so sorry 😞 its devastating, 💕 sending virtual hugs x

Anna531 · 02/08/2022 00:51

@WingingIt09 so so sorry to hear that! And the length you would have to go to to get any further help. I cant imagine how you're feeling right now with a third. It takes such a toll just trying and waiting and hoping. I hope you're OK, and the next cycle you're trying is your one! ❤️

Nypie · 02/08/2022 01:17

@Bananatoast123 Happy Birthday!!!

@Dreamingof3 that makes complete sense. What a nightmare of an experience that must have been. Hopefully the time continues to fly and you'll be seein a health baby at your scan soon!

Meanwhile I'm here 4dpo already symptom spotting 🙄 just watched a youtube vid of a lady who filmed her self testing from October to March when she got her positive was quite nice to put everything in perspective.

SVC11 · 02/08/2022 08:24

@Nypie im one cycle day ahead of you and I'm like... Should I test... LOL its so stupid... At least I think that's when I ovulated... Best guesses from my chart anyone ? Why did my bbt take so long to rise?

EdinburghGirl1 · 02/08/2022 08:30

@Bananatoast123 Happy Birthday. Mine only lasted 3 days last month. Could be just a really light one. That's a great attitude to have this month

@WingingIt09 that's truly awful that's what they have siad to you and that's their policy.

Bananatoast123 · 02/08/2022 08:33

@Nypie thank you!!

Bananatoast123 · 02/08/2022 09:00

@EdinburghGirl1 thank you also! And that’s good to know! I go from 2 days one month to 5/6 the next and I can’t work out if it’s something I’m doing!

The temptation not to test OPK is difficult!!

EdinburghGirl1 · 02/08/2022 09:58

@Bananatoast123 I think our bodies seem to be very good at keeping us on our toes with changes of things each month so you just don't know what's going on

Houseelf90 · 02/08/2022 11:38

2 days off my pill and my withdrawal bleed has arrived!! Complete with period pains 😩

Not sure I should be so excited about this but after 10+ years on the pill with the last 5+ of those being on the mini pill with no periods it’s nice to know my insides are still working!

Apologies for TMI….sharing with strangers on the internet somehow seems better than sharing with work colleagues 🤣🤣

dearhummingbirds · 02/08/2022 11:45

That’s amazing @Houseelf90 it took me almost a year to get mine back both times I came off. Which had its positives, but it does make you worry!

Houseelf90 · 02/08/2022 11:51

@dearhummingbirds yes I can definitely see the positives but also quite worrying!! Have to wait and see if I get a regular period in 4-5 weeks time although secretly hoping I won’t as I’ll be pregnant 😂 I know it’s unlikely to happen but can’t help but dream!!

DesertSnow · 02/08/2022 11:54

@WingingIt09 I'm so sorry to hear, and absolutely awful that they won't investigate at this stage. Hope you're taking it easy and being kind to yourself.

@lj2022 so pleased for you!

@Bananatoast123 hope you've had a great birthday. I wouldn't worry about an unusually short period if it's a one off. Our bodies are so weird!

@Houseelf90 never TMI - it's what we're here for 😊

@DanisEndo Sorry you're having a rough time with endo. I know what you mean about being tired of doctors poking around with you. Not sure re. your ovulation question - are you doing BBT to confirm ovulation as well as OPKs? If you didn't get a peak reading, you might have ovulated later, around the time of your CM. I only take OPKs once a day and didn't get a peak reading this month, but BBT seemed to confirm ovulation for me so I must have missed it by only testing once a day.

Despite taking Vitamin C to lengthen luteal phase, AF showed up yesterday - 9DPO. I'm a bit gutted. And in a lot of discomfort as I have endo so my periods are awful anyway, but I had wisdom tooth surgery last Thursday and recovery is not going well. The surgery was complicated and quite traumatic physically (just one of the teeth took over two hours and they took quite a lot of bone too), and I was sedated. I'm wondering if the trauma has caused AF to show up early - was 2 days earlier than predicted by any of the apps which is very unusual for me - my cycles are usually very long and AF usually turns up later than all the apps predict (even with a short LP - I ovulate very late). Anyone have any experience of going through something physically stressful and AF showing unexpectedly early?

SarahShorty · 02/08/2022 12:02

CD5 today for me. 9 days to go until FW approaches. Feels like such a drag. Hope everyone is doing okay xx

SVC11 · 02/08/2022 12:10

@DesertSnow no advice on trauma causing late periods I'm afraid but I do know it can take 3 months for any vitamin or supplement to have an affect on your cycle so don't be too disheartened yet xx

LucyLoopyLu · 02/08/2022 13:03

@DesertSnow yes definitely, I have come on a few days early when I've been ill before - period pains on top of being ill is not what you want! Sorry you're having a tough time. Definitely wouldn't worry about this cycle being short if I was you, being sedated and having the op is a shock for your body so I would just disregard this cycle.

Last cycle I came on early after my smear- a couple of days early and really heavy straight away which doesn't usually happen for me (usually get spotting first) - I'm not going to pay attention to that cycle as I think the smear made me get AF earlier which the nurse said might happen.

DesertSnow · 02/08/2022 14:42

Thanks @SVC11, appreciate it may take a few cycles to kick in, so won't give up just yet.

@LucyLoopyLu thank you so much, that is very reassuring! I guess our bodies are really sensitive and if it's had a bit of a shock it could easily confuse our cycles. Probably best to disregard, as you say. I have a smear coming up too, so good to bear in mind for that also. Thanks, feeling better about it now.

Nypie · 02/08/2022 15:32

@SVC11 honestly if test were cheap I'd be in trouble! I'm not a expert but prehaps your body geared up to ovulate didnt and so tried again I have heard of that hapening...did you track past your peak? Here's my chart for a compare though we are all different! Looks like you covered yourself well either way.

Bananatoast123 · 02/08/2022 15:50

@EdinburghGirl1 & @DesertSnow thanks for the reassurance! Yeah I think it’s whether that’s cycle month has been stressful for me! Going to keep tabs on it for now and if needs be I’ll ask advice on if this is an issue!!

MissBeeBee · 02/08/2022 16:29

Actively trying.... we were not not trying (lol) in April/May and had a "scare" which opened up the communication of "lets just try". I'm not due my period until 13th August and have an appointment 8th as I've signed up to a new doctors so I'm going to mention it to them as well in case they can find out early for me aha.

Summerbreeze111 · 02/08/2022 16:37

Hi all - checking in! Cycle 3, had an early miscarriage cycle 1, but trying to remain positive.

The tww officially begins for me from today, I finally got a positive opk test yesterday so I think I have or will ovulate today.

Is anyone else just starting their tww?

Springblooms08 · 02/08/2022 17:04

@Summerbreeze111 I am - due to test on 14th aug - cycle three for me too. Sorry to hear about your early mc, fingers crossed this month is your month!

SVC11 · 02/08/2022 17:07

@Nypie all the good stuff this month haha
