TTC APRIL

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 09:43

Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

Would love to join, in the middle of a bleed now after a chemical - I've had v irregular cycles all my life, had the coil out 2 months ago so hoping things settle down after this chemical? Who knows!

I'm cycle 3 baby #1 so not dissimilar to you.

Ooh good luck with the Ovusense, let me know if this helps you to understand your cycle!

Keeping fingers crossed Smile x

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 10:30

@alwaysseeingstars
Yay a friend hello!
I'm so sorry to hear about your chemical 😔 I'm currently spotting but AF is due today so hope so to get started next cycle.
Really hope it does settle down for you, how long have you been bleeding?
Aw great... hopefully these cycles will be our lucky ones.
I have high hopes for the Ovusense, it arrives tomorrow. I got 20% off and I thought it might help me a bit more with ovulation since it updates in real time... getting to the stage of anything and everything.
Fingers crossed for you tooo! X

Thanks, it's so hard when AF shows isn't it - first you get the emotions then you desperately want it to be over so that you can start trying again!!
Bleeding since Sunday morning, so heavy it's insane. But has eased off a bit in the past few hours.
Yeah it does sound good, did you go with the regular one or the irregular one? Can't remember their names haha but did have a look a few weeks ago!
This TTC business really is all consuming isn't it!!

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 11:30

Hi ladies I'm with you. CD6 today. Cycle number 5. Googled the Ava bracelet but omg so expensive

This cycle will be vitamins for me and OH and a loose version of SMEP

@alwaysseeingstars I've had a chemical and it was hard 😕

Presently83 · 29/03/2022 11:33

Hello all,

I'm joining you as AF just turned up Sad - I was really hopeful this was our cycle.

TTC #1 and now on cycle 6 following MMC in October (conceived first month of trying which is annoying because it's now not happening), and beginning to feel really disheartened, particularly since I'm now 39.

Fingers crossed April is our month and we'll have lots of January babies Thanks

X

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 11:38

@alwaysseeingstars
It's strange, I didn't feel confident this month and knew it wasn't my month but I was still sad when I started spotting, ugh hopefully though this is the last month of AF for a good while... (always optimistic at the beginning of the cycle 😂)

I'm glad it is easing off, I hope it's away the next few days for you, so you can get back to trying again.
I have "regular" well as regular as you can call them periods but I opted for the core one as it updates real time so hopefully my fertile window is good this month, that is my aim to try get days in BEFORE I peak!

It's all consuming and driving me a little bit mad & making me a bit sad, it's nice to have somebody to talk too... and understands my OH doesn't really get it but I know he gets upset too.

@MrsGrealish hi again! how are you doing? I was worried about taking over somebody else's thread so I started my own.
Exciting CD6.. Af all away? Good luck with SMEP hope it works 🌟 then hope works for me next weekish
I was in 2 mins between Ava & Ovusense but I opted for the Ovusense, I hope it's worth it! Really do. X

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 11:39

@Presently83 I'm 39 too xx oh I think I'll do the OPKs even though I swore I wouldn't use them again. What CD you on?

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 11:42

@Presently83 Hi!

Oh my AF is due today, spotting at the moment but hopefully we will be cycle buddies 🥰
sorry to hear last cycle wasn't your cycle, everything crossed for this one.

So sorry to hear about your loss, sending hugs.
Don't feel disheartened, we will make this a fun group with ideas suggestions etc and we will all get good luck!
Are you trying anything new in this cycle?

We will have our babies soon... team optimistic! X

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 11:43

@RMS0209 hi! Yes the old threads are so well established and it seems everyone is in TWW

Yes let us know how u get on with the ovusense by the time I decided what to get it would be fertile week already! I'm doing good though. AF has gone😊

Longbin · 29/03/2022 11:45

TTC #2 here. I had a miscarriage last month after IVF and decided to try naturally again. I’ve never had a positive pregnancy test without treatment and have tried for over 3 years, so I’m guessing I’m going to be on here a while 😬

babyjellyfish · 29/03/2022 11:54

TTC no.2 here, first cycle.

I am very fertile and get pregnant very quickly but also suffered recurrent losses TTC my first, so I could be here for one month or years, it really could go either way!

Presently83 · 29/03/2022 11:55

@MrsGrealish I'm CD1 right now - 11dpo so was really hoping it was implantation bleeding but alas 😭

@RMS0209 thank you, that makes me feel a bit jollier about this.

We spoke to a fertility doc last month who recommended throwing away ov sticks (I was using Clearblue monitor and remembering to POS first thing from day 6 was actually quite stressful) and just having sex every other day from end of AF to next one, which actually OH has been finding much less stressful than DTD every day on command for 8 days.

Didn't work but we'll try that again this month I think.

He also recommended seriously thinking about IVF if this doesn't happen in the next 2/3 months, before it gets too much later. I really didn't want to have to go down that road but we may have to 🥴

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 12:05

@Presently83 I have a 12 day luteal phase. Taking vit B6 to help (apparently it does🤷‍♀️)

Oh my OH knows nothing about the OPKs this month if I start using them. I just like to pee on sticks😂 He thinks it's a waste of time. He's probably right

Longbin · 29/03/2022 12:27

@Presently83 I will be doing another IVF round in June or July if I haven’t had any lucky by then

mgdj · 29/03/2022 12:28

Hey! Hopefully it’s okay to join. I’m TTC no.2 and on cycle 6 now, wondering how much longer it’s going to take 😩 hopefully April is a lucky month 🤞🏼

alwaysseeingstars · 29/03/2022 13:00

@MrsGrealish sorry to hear you've had a chemical (and anyone here who has suffered any loss) - the emotional side of things is really hard even though it was SO early!

Hi all joining, nice to have people to talk to on this - we're not discussing it with family/friends (far too much pressure, I'm 33 so I'm sure everyone is already second guessing everything I say!!) and my DH (who finally decided we were ready on Christmas Day, think he was imagining having a little un around!) seems to think there's no point testing, analysing, discussing etc - just wants to see what happens. Very hard when it takes over your mind haha!
Fingers crossed for April for all of us, definitely liking the positive vibes @RMS0209

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 13:23

Wow never thought I'd get so much people on, this is great hello everybody
Let's make April the month of BFP's!
I'm going to try be more positive too.
I have my reflexology this afternoon so that will make me zen atleast 🙆🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
Presently83 · 29/03/2022 13:28

I'm very much up for this positive mental attitude approach - a great plan.

Was just wondering: Did anyone do anything differently the month/s they got their BFP?

For us we were pretty relaxed as we were just beginning our 'journey' (gag), didn't stop drinking, DTD for three days in a row up to ovulation, then every other day for a few more just for fun. No sticks or pineapple or anything.

Now I'm spending a fortune on PreSeed and a billion vitamins and nothing - ha!

The human body really is a mad old mystery, isn't it.

Presently83 · 29/03/2022 13:40

@Longbin how did you find the experience of IVF? X

alwaysseeingstars · 29/03/2022 14:00

@Presently83 obviously this one didn't last but enough to get a BFP at least, oddly in the 'fertile window' we literally DTD once - the day of the static peak on the Clearblue! So it's a cliche but it really does just take one.. but the more chances the better I suppose :)

And the only 'different' thing was that I'd started the seven seas trying for a baby tablets, which are more just for getting the right vitamins than actually helping you to get pregnant..

Neither of us drink so nothing really to change there (although tempting after this chemical!), but I do need to work on our diet and eat more fresh...!

Definitely a more complex process than I think 99% of the population realise before TTC!!

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 14:28

I had the chemical when I caught covid and I honestly believe that was why. I didn't cope that well with it was feverish woke up with night sweats. GP sent me to a@e he was so worried.

But that was 2 cycles ago. It is long gone. Positive thoughts ladies! I did nothing different when I caught. No vitamins or anything. Just had more DTD and will be this month too. I actually feel positive too😊

Rhianne18 · 29/03/2022 14:43

Hello all, hope it's okay to join!

I'm CD13, cycle 4, TTC our first. Irregular cycles. My Husband is a lot older than me so we're going for a fertility MOT this week to get everything checked.

@RMS0209 I understand your deflation, this TTC is hard. Interested to how you get on with the Ovusense core.

@alwaysseeingstars we were chatting on the other thread, sorry to hear about your chemical. Hope you're okay.

Hope this month is everyone's month.

alwaysseeingstars · 29/03/2022 14:53

@MrsGrealish glad you're feeling positive Smile it certainly helps! and when all is said and done, DTD is really the most important factor in all of this haha

@Rhianne18 hey! wow that was quick to get the tests in - what did you end up going for?! Thanks, it's ridiculous how quickly your mind runs away with things. But had a doubtful feeling about that one so I guess I knew subconsiously.

Onwards and upwards, and lots of good vibes for April for all.

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 15:33

While it's in my head....
Cosy feet = cosy womb, my reflexology lady told me how cold my feet were today oopsie, I blame the yucky weather! X

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 15:37

@Rhianne18 good luck with your tests! What are you getting?
I have ordered private blood tests for progesterone and female hormone tests, so will be able to do the first one on CD3. X
