@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! @Somatronic I went with Care! I was NHS-Funded though so no add-ons at all. I thought they were pretty good but it sounds like the one you went to is being a bit sneaky. I would call them up and query the add-ons, get them to explain exactly why they're necessary and what difference they could make in your case. You're paying for the service after all, they can't just throw things in there without your permission!

@Somatronic Caremaps is cares own name for embryoscope. Its one and the same thing. Yes that's naughty. But until you have embryos you aren't using it, so therefore they can't refuse to take this off the bill at this stage? I would definitely ask for it to be removed as it wasn't something you asked for.

I’m with Care - I did pay for Caremaps but only because I’m super nosy and wanted to see the cell division process! Don’t think it necessarily helps that much.

6DPO and had a big temp dip this morning... trying not to get my hopes up, I know it's no certainty. Plus I'm a lizard and all.

Itching to test, waiting for 10DPO and have early tests. Expecting disappointment as usual, but fingers crossed

Bit of spotting yesterday, bfn this morning on an internet cheapie, have no frers and I’ll leave the digi weeks for a bit later on, .... but no af, so still waiting cd 28 but no idea when I ovulated

Also I am sick of DH, nauseas? That's af coming, cramps? That's af coming, spotting? Af coming.... Is there any signs of pregnancy in the world or everything is af coming? Honestly I don't know why I bother, and also he's taken to check the test before I had a chance, I nearly didn't get to look at it today, it makes testing all more awful, never mind the result, it makes me not want to test anymore, just wait for af, at least that's in peace

The other staff member here has had a medical emergency today and will be out for weeks. I feel like my boss is on the verge of telling me I can't take next week off after all, and I have to tell her about IVF today so the timing is terrible. I put it off til today in case the conversation was awkward because I won't have to see her until the week after next after today. Regretting that decision now. Colleague will be fine by the way!

That sucks @Franklydear I'm sorry 🤗 sounds like your DH needs to back off a wee bit, that's extra stress you don't need!

I still have a crap doctor, but a wonderful angel sorted me out with some progesterone pessaries. I’ve decided to try everything I can this time and both ostrich and pray at the same time. I’m currently lay with my first pessary in- very strange!

Loving your post about Doctor Moore @franklydear. You are my inspiration. I’m pretty good at being tough I’m so many cases (I work on a challenging secondary school and love it), but when it comes to this I’m so overly emotional. Sounds like a good thing when DHs get involved, but definitely not that much. Might be an idea to wait for AF? Then at least you can feel more in control?

@somatronic maybe you can ask them about the extras. Definitely seems inappropriate that they are adding without adding though. Ffs, can they cancel leave like that? Especially annoying when you’ve timed it so well. Hope that you’re okay.

@Minster2012 I'm hanging in there! Only a week to go - same symptoms as always, could all be due to the pessaries though but trying to think neutral thoughts and hoping for the best

@InkyPaper the pessary mess is real 😂😂keep those thoughts like Switzerland, try taking the pessaries til gone 20 weeks 😂but hey if they help we ain't knocking them!

It's not like ppl on this thread haven't shoved worse up them @BellatrixK the amount of scooping around in our foofs we do TTC is actually laughable 🙄😜

@BellatrixK which ones have you got? The clumping with Crinone was horrendous, had to do a bit of a clear out every few days, but cyclogest kind of melts and escapes, so you can’t really win either way! 🤦‍♀️

Hey all. @Somatronic remember when you are going private this is a business and you get to question things whenever you want.

Haven’t really been monitoring, very busy and feeling a bit lost about it all. We should be taking action now - at a clinic or whatever but we’re mid renovation so I’m no pushing it for a month. But every day that goes by without taking a step forward Is hard. I’m also trying to lose some weight in the mean time but that’s gruelling in itself.

My close friend had a baby this week. We started trying at the same time so I’m so happy for her but I’m also really sad. And she keeps sending these pictures through of her new gorgeous wrinkly pink baby and it’s a bit hard to manage.

Thanks @pennysays I'll definitely ring them next week. And I understand your feelings about your friend's baby. My best friend started trying 6 months after me and her baby is 6 months old. I found that whole situation quite tough.

@Minster2012 and @BellatrixK she hasn't cancelled my leave yet and when she mentions things she wants me to do next week I just keep firmly reminding her that I'm not going to be here next week. She seemed happy for me with the IVF stuff - she thought I was a bit mad getting IVF after only trying for a year and a half because she had unprotected sex for three years after she got married with no pregnancy but other than that comment she was fine. We'll see if she's still fine when it comes to giving me time off for scans/procedures etc!

Awww! Love a buddy @InkyPaper. I’m really, really rooting for us. Tbh, I don’t care if it leaks everywhere, anything that helps! Pads are a great shout though thank you. You’ve done so well, not long to wait now. Is it a 6 week scan?

@Minster2012, so I needed a wee about 30 mins after it went in and my mum (ex nurse) advised me to put my hand under to catch it in case it came out (nothing did). But I fully just weed on my hand. Awful.

@Sunbird24 I have cyclogest, which after your description I’m quite relieved about 😂

@pennysays I totally get the sadness. Someone I work with is having their 12 week scan soon and I’m so jealous (and pleased for them too). Definitely better to do it when you aren’t stressing about renovating.

@Somatronic so glad it went okay (or at least send okay for now!).

I did another test this morning so they’re 10, 12 and 15dpo. Definitely seem to be darkening.

@BellatrixK I'm keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞🏻 I'll be 7wks 6days at the scan - surprisingly the wait hasn't been too bad. I mean, not great but nothing like as mentally destructive as the TTW at least, which is good 😄

@pennysays having someone close to you have a baby when you're trying so hard to have one yourself is so difficult to deal with. One of my friends has a one year old and she started trying after us - it's definitely a weird mix of happy for them and devastated for yourself. You're not alone in how you feel ❤️
