@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! You can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where lots of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have had over 100 BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over including 2 on the last thread so we need to keep our lucky run going, no slacking ladies!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

@Sausage1990 I have had a couple of tests already, LH and FSH but done on a random day before my first AF so I believe the results are kind of irrelevant? An ultrasound between the two AF where I was told I had 'a good number of follicles' and 'everything looked as it should structurally'. Also a thyroid check which I was told was normal.
Im now registered with a new GP so I'm hoping they'll take me more seriously!

Sausage1990 · 03/07/2022 13:17

@dmb91 I see... Well it's reassuring that physically everything looks as it should but would definitely get them to recheck your bloods. Possibly your sex hormones too to check they're all in line. And I do hope the new GP is helpful. It seems like you're just not ovulating so they need to explore why.

How about your overall well-being? How are you in yourself? I know for me my cycles are very influenced by stress and makes my cycles crazy. Xx

Sausage1990 · 03/07/2022 13:17

Anyone else in the TWW? any symptom spotting??

Franklydear · 03/07/2022 13:33

I am still in limbo, bfn and no af, I’ll be chasing the woman health nurse while I wait
finished my first pokemon! Pictures on insta if you like to follow me
i would also appreciate if you guys like my Etsy shop, iknittedthis

Somatronic · 03/07/2022 14:03

@Sausage1990 good to hear from you! I hope you're keeping well - good luck to you in your continued journey.

@dmb91 all those tests results sound reassuring. Along with what @Sausage1990 said it would be good to get day 21 bloods to find out of you're ovulating. I found my GP was useless - I told her what to test and where to refer me to so you may have to prepare to do more leg work than is reasonable!

Manifestingbaby · 03/07/2022 14:23

Also still in limbo, no af. Longest cycle in 2 years 🙄

@dmb91 you must be so frustrated! Hard to reach the year mark regardless but having only had 2 cycles sucks. Hopefully your new gp is good. Definitely be assertive if needs be. Day 21 bloods seems like a good place to start. You could ask for tablets (can't for the life of me think of the name sorry) to bring on a bleed so you don't have to wait any longer for af, then book in for 21 day bloods based on that. I'd hope they would start you on something to help you ovulate

Manifestingbaby · 03/07/2022 14:25

@dmb91 Norethisterone. Thank you google.

dmb91 · 04/07/2022 18:24

Thanks ladies, got a drs appointment on Friday.

Did you manage to get an appointment @Franklydear?

Franklydear · 04/07/2022 19:49

Well, yes and in a funny way, I felt awful today, tummy pain, sickness, a bit dizzy, even my manager sent me home from work, so they gave me an appointment with a woman doctor, she’s brilliant, so definitely not pregnant, she took swaps cos she wants to check for infection and didn’t have a smear since 2020, so not due for a while, so we might as well, also referred me for a scan to check ovaries and uterus, just to see how healthy they are, she doesn’t suspect menopause just yet but obviously my age is a concern, but happy for me to be trying, see doesn’t see it as too late, too risky or too crazy, just to be aware that it might not happen again for us

Manifestingbaby · 04/07/2022 20:33

@dmb91 good you have an appointment sorted. Hope it goes well for you. Apologies also for my "longest cycle" comment. It occurred to me later that that was really insensitive following your post. Just mine are more on the abnormally short side so now for af to not show up and get my hopes up has been frustrating. Sorry 🤦‍♀️

@Franklydear wow that's thorough! That's exciting, for want of a better word. She sounds like a good GP, no brushing off there! Hope you feel better soon x

pennysays · 04/07/2022 22:23

Hi everyone. Sorry for the silence. Just ploughing on with life while I wait for us to start officially trying again. So I guess while I’m not trying then being here is a bit painful because I wish we were making more progress towards it. I’m at about 18 months now.

@Franklydear your woman doctor sounds ace and totally on it. I also have a good doctor who has pushes things from her side it’s been great.

Franklydear · 05/07/2022 05:29

@Manifestingbaby @pennysays she is fab, she questioned why I haven’t been seen earlier, I said I came last year, it took over two months for a male doctor to tell me everything was normal, whatever that means, after a blood test at random time of the cycle, her eyes fell of the back of her head
i feel you penny, my app says recorded 34 cycles, I started half a year before the pandemic started, yet here we are, my approach is currently not preventing, whatever the universe brings me, dh is obsessed with twins, the man has finally lost it, definitely not dreaming on twins, just the one will be fine

dmb91 · 05/07/2022 11:51

@Manifestingbaby no need to apologise! Our cycles are all different and what's 'normal' for one person won't be for another.

@Franklydear hope you're feeling better today. That Dr sounds amazing, why can't they all be like that!

@pennysays any luck getting your dp to do his sa?

Sunbird24 · 05/07/2022 12:04

CD1 here, 1-2 days early, but this is going to be an embryo transfer cycle. Could this be the one that sticks?

Sausage1990 · 05/07/2022 16:03

Argh this is the longest two weeks of my life!!! I hate the TWW 🙈🙈🙈 currently 8dpo and too early to test. I've never gotten a bfp before 10dpo before so there's no point testing yet. I swear the 2nd week of the tww is twice as long as the 1st!

@Franklydear so glad you finally got to see a good Dr - hold on to that one, she's a keeper lol.

@Sunbird24 embryo transfer cycle is exciting! I'll be keeping everything crossed for you 💕

@pennysays I understand those feelings. That's why I stepped away while we weren't trying. It's hard sometimes and looking after our wellbeing by stepping back a bit can be super helpful. Sending lots of love xx

Franklydear · 06/07/2022 03:56

The happiest cd 1 I ever had, last few cycles, 23,46,22,25,48 a bit cramps but not terrible, thankfully having some investigations soon, doctor assures me not menopause yet

Sausage1990 · 06/07/2022 08:27

@Franklydear gosh your cycles have really been a mixed bag. I'm so glad you've got a good GP now who can help answer some questions for you 👍🏻

Sausage1990 · 08/07/2022 07:41

Hi lovelies... So arrived yesterday! I thought this might have been the one because I didn't have my usual PMS sugar cravings and have been feeling a bit off in general but now af has arrived (and I had a bfn on a IC yesterday morning at 10dpo) I'm sure these are just side effects to my new antidepressant/anti-anxiety meds 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am gutted but also ok.

Sausage1990 · 08/07/2022 07:42

So af arrived yesterday*

A key part of the sentence accidentally missed then 🙈

Franklydear · 08/07/2022 07:54

Oh @Sausage1990 it sucks, and for me a weird feeling of also being relieved that it did arrive, onwards we go, misssy

Manifestingbaby · 08/07/2022 20:51

Just checking in and it seems to be all CD1 news 😥 sorry all, although @Franklydear think it's slightly better news for you that the witch arrived at last. I'm still waiting. Cd38 🙄 normal cycle 25-27 days tested again this evening and another bfn so I'm assuming annovulatory cycle 🤷‍♀️

Franklydear · 08/07/2022 21:45

@Manifestingbaby yes at cd 48, I was quite pleased to put an end to my misery, my average is 25! I had also tested and knew I was waiting for nothing, so off we go again

Manifestingbaby · 08/07/2022 22:04

@Franklydear waiting for nothing, that about sums up the last couple of years 😂😭 give me strength!

Sausage1990 · 09/07/2022 08:21

@Manifestingbaby @Franklydear aren't long / unpredictable cycles a ball ache. Honestly the last 2 cycles for me have been 31 & 32 days which is surprising because before that they've been between 29-46 days long and all over the place since the last miscarriage.

The only thing that's different is I've been on sertraline (antidepressants) for a year but stopped them at the end of May and the two periods since stopping have been a normal length. It'll be interesting to see how next month goes. I'm on a new medication now (fluoxatine) for 3 weeks and it didn't seem to upset my cycle this time so we will see.

I've ordered myself some seven seas preconception vitamins as they have b6 which apparently is helpful to keep the luteal phase a good length.

Onwards we go ladies!!!

Manifestingbaby · 09/07/2022 11:57

@sausage1990 I usually have short cycles which is annoying as feel like I'm always on my period so should be enjoying the break really. I think unpredictable is the most irritating though isn't it. Hope you get on well with the new tablets.
