Any day 2-5 and day 21 blood test experts?
I saw the dr Friday and I'm sure the blood test forms are wrong 🤦‍♀️ She told me to call on cd1 to book them in but if there's no sign of AF in the next month then just book bloods for any day 😂

DP has to have a semen analysis which he is thrilled about.. Does anyone know the logistics of this? Is it done at GP or hospital?

I got my first ever peak ovulation strip on Thursday! So hopefully AF will show up in a couple of weeks and can get the blood tests done.

Surely they need to be checking progesterone levels on day 21?

@dmb91 my cycles are long and I waited a couple of months to get my day 1 blood test done - they didn’t give me the option of coming in whenever!

re sperm analysis. We haven’t done ours yet (dp mastermind of putting it off) but ours has to be done at home and taken to the a clinic in a hospital within 60 minutes of happening! Cue speed style race from our house to the hospital with a cup of spooge. You should get ample information when he gets his referral.

@pennysays I can't see how the results would be accurate if done on a random day 🤦‍♀️ currently CD79 so would much prefer they do the correct blood work first time rather than waiting months for another opportunity.

DP is going to change to the same dr surgery as me then get it booked in.
Our nearest hospital is a 30min drive without traffic.. sounds like it's going to be a pain to get it there within 60mins.

@dmb91 honestly can't remember all the details as its been too long but yes progesterone on day 21, all the rest day 2-5. Semen analysis was done at home and brought to the clinic. Thst was during lockdown so not sure if thst would still be the case. There were instructions for thst too... some like can't have ejaculated in the last 2 days but no longer than 5 days since I think. He'll be told all in advance anyway. Hope you aren't waiting too long.

Is anyone on antidepressants because of/while TTC?
CD1 of month #21 and I am SO sick of feeling this sad all the time. I've made an appointment with the docs to discuss it, but I don't want to take anything that could negatively impact fertility or (now likely) IVF.
Any thoughts welcome x

@GemB03 nit quite, but after over two and a half years, Ive given up a few times, on the not giving a shit currently plus feeling really shit with this weather so I just can’t be bothered

Two and a half years 😫 that's so shit, I'm sorry. Crazy how you go through stages isn't it. Last month I was just angry/frustrated, this month I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Emotional wreck!

@GemB03 and I am a couple of months shy of 45, so now thinking this is not happening at all, feeling very meh about it, really

@Mc3209 I don't think we've had any BFPs unfortunately 🙁

@MrsBiddy We use a little tupperware pot and a Calpol syringe 🤣 DH doesn't usually have performance issues but has had on the odd occasion and it definitely takes the pressure off. We've inseminated 3 times this cycle and DTD twice. I had COVID at the beginning of fertile week (thanks DS!) and it's too hot now so went for the spaff cup again tonight. Did it the old fashioned way the last couple of days so hopefully we've covered our bases

@GemB03 I'm not on antidepressants currently but I was for a while when struggling to conceive DS. I'm sorry you're having such a tough time. Where are you in your journey, have you been referred or been to a clinic or anything?

I'm on CD18 and pretty sure I ovulated early hours of this morning, I was still very crampy when I woke up but temp had gone up slightly, although that could be the weather! It's a late ovulation for me as I'm normally between CD14-16 but I guess catching COVID again delayed it a bit. Think this is cycle 14 now? I've lost track 😩 I was planning on starting letrozole next cycle but we're going to be away now because this late ovulation has pushed CD1 back so it'll have to wait til September

@polkadotpixie It's horrible that covid messes cycles up isn't it! I've had it twice and the 3 vaccines - so at least 5 messed up cycles. Definitely not ideal!
I'm on month 21. We've done all the tests, all fine. I'm going private for a pelvic ultrasound next month because my fertility clinic won't give me one! They said they only do it if there's signs there might be something wrong like irregular cycles... well not getting pregnant in 20 months suggests something's wrong! We'll be referred for IVF in December, currently coming to terms with the fact that is going to happen as I've lost all hope for natural conception.

I've got a docs appointment on Friday and I'm going to ask for antidepressants. I can't do this anymore, feel like I'm going to break 😞

On the plus side - I've discovered a fab podcast 'Big Fat Negative' and it's made me feel way less alone - would recommend!

@GemB03 we've been trying for 13 months but I've only had two periods in that time, the last one was in April.

I persisted with opks and according to the peak I got I'm 12dpo 🤷‍♀️

@dmb91 wow! Fabulous news! I'm so happy for you. My DH is still like that - he hardly acknowledges that it's happening. In fact these were his exact words when I told him I got a positive test and asked him if he was happy (because he didn't react other than to tell me off for taking the test earlier than the clinic said): "as they said in Pulp Fiction, 'don't go sucking each others dicks just yet", so I have that lovely memory of my first ever BFP. 😕

Oh my god @dmb91! Congratulations. That's wonderful. We so needed a bfp, it's been too long. Any idea where you are date wise? Will you get an early scan to date you given your long cycles?
