@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! You can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where lots of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have had over 100 BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over including 2 on the last thread so we need to keep our lucky run going, no slacking ladies!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

@Franklydear Sorry to hear that 🙁 Any sign of it stopping?

OP posts:
Franklydear · 04/06/2022 15:48

@polkadotpixie not yet, it’s very light and absolutely nothing on pad, just when I wipe, not af , not quite 24 h yet, nhs says either ovulation or implantation bleeding, could be from sex, but as it is brownish not worrying

polkadotpixie · 04/06/2022 19:47

Just started spotting so decided to test to put myself out of my misery. BFN of course 😭 I've had no cramps or anything all day and was starting to think just maybe it was my month but obviously not

OP posts:
Franklydear · 04/06/2022 22:14

@polkadotpixie damm, it gets me every time too, I am still spotting very lightly, nothing on pad all day, few cramps, 9 days to af eta,...so, let's see what tomorrow brings

pennysays · 04/06/2022 22:15

Oh @polkadotpixie im so sorry. This is such a bleak time. Take some time to tend to your sadness. Allow yourself to be sad and when you’re ready we’re here for you and your next steps. That’s clomid right?

polkadotpixie · 05/06/2022 21:18

@pennysays @Franklydear Thanks both 🥰 I'm feeling a bit better today emotionally, despite my horrible period pain and hormonal migraine

We've got 2 more natural cycles then starting letrozole (apparently it's better than Clomid for older women) so at least there's a plan but I'm just so tired of it all

How are you doing today?

OP posts:
Franklydear · 06/06/2022 03:40

Up in the middle of the night with a 12 year old afraid there’s a spider on his bed, oh the anxiety of getting back to school.... on the other hand, the spotting has stopped completely, never amounting to much, now to wait a week or two see if af actually comes

pennysays · 06/06/2022 22:19

Sorry for the late night @Franklydear and the migraines @polkadotpixie. That’s double pain when spotting or on your period.

my period is on its way I think. No surprise because we only had sex the day after ovulation. Start back trying to get dp to do his sa!!!

Bundaberg84 · 07/06/2022 08:48

@pennysays sorry to hear! Fingers crossed it is not AF though.

I started BBT with a wearable two cycles ago. Very interesting to find out when exactly ovulation occurs, with OPK you can only guess right? That being said, this cycle is so odd. My luteal phase is always 12-13 days. This cycle my temps started dropping at 5dpo, and today at 9dpo they even went below coverline. But AF is not due before Friday or Saturday. I really have no idea what to think of that. Luteal phase should always stay the same right? I track my cycles for a while now and I never had a shorter luteal phase before.

rosemarycait96 · 07/06/2022 15:01

I absolutely love the thread title! New to Mumsnet, new to TTC (2nd cycle, 3rd month - damn irregular periods) and my period is due in 2 days, obviously I'm driving myself mad at the moment. I had brief cramps for nearly two days this week but they've gone away and I've madly convinced myself that it was implantation, of course. Too scared to take a test.

I had this weird target of becoming pregnant before I'm 25, given that I'm 26 next month, that ship may have sailed!

MrsBiddy · 07/06/2022 15:54

Been abit rubbish at putting my OvuSense in at night this month

Did a opk today and got a very dark line :D dtd yesterday.

How often does everyone else dtd when you get a positive opk, every other day or every day?

Thanks 😊

I've been busy and quiet, but now I'm sick. :( I think it's the flu, I was up all night/sleeping fitfully with a fever last night, so didn't even bother to temp yesterday or today. Last night it was 38, which is 1.5-2 degrees higher than usual for me. 😓

DP is sick too, neither of us are in the mood at all whatsoever, so this might be a washout of a cycle for us. CD19, so no idea if I'm going to ovulate soon or in a couple of weeks.

pennysays · 07/06/2022 23:21

welcome @rosemarycait96 good luck on the testing. Fingers crossed for you. Lots of old timers here a lot older than you so don’t worry, you’ve got plenty of time!

@MrsBiddy we have sex every day - when then line gets darker, during the peak and the day after. I know that’s not the sperm-meets-egg protocol but I’ve no idea if that has any scientific merit. Basically as much as possible from your peak opk to ovulation when you temp starts to spike.

I wonder about the wisdom of my own advice given how very I pregnant I am. Still waiting for my period to come.

@Bundaberg84 yes your luteal phase should always be the same but if your temp drops quickly then it may be that you didn’t ovulate event if you lh test was high. Your temp is the best indicator of ovulation. If it’s dropped quickly then it may be an annovulatory cycle. Keep testing on the opks because you may ovulate again in a few days when your body has another ‘go’

pennysays · 07/06/2022 23:26

Sorry you’ve been sick @Dawnbird, take it easy. Are you using opks? You have very irregular cycles like me right? So there is not way to tell apart form opks and temping.

hope you feel better soon. @polkadotpixie how are your migraines?

Dawnbird · 08/06/2022 06:56

@pennysays have been, but just not feeling motivated to test/chart, I feel like rubbish.

DS and I tested positive for covid today. :( I'm fully vaxxed, so hopefully it's as bad as it's going to get so far.

Bundaberg84 · 08/06/2022 10:17

@pennysays Of course, it’s a possibility. But my temps looked good as well, both my apps “confirmed” ovulation based on my data and it was bang on with the OPK, same as last month. Also I got all the other symptoms I have in the luteal phase, such as boobs hurting, elevated breathing rate. My temps started dropping at 5dpo and were below cover line yesterday at 9dpo, went back up today. What I just realised now is that my overall temperature is higher than last cycle. So my temp dip yesterday is still higher than when it was elevated last cycle. Weird no? Weather is about the same, and since I’m using a wearable device the differences shouldn’t be that noticeable.

pennysays · 08/06/2022 13:22

Just looking @Bundaberg84 and I can see I had a cycle like that too. s long as your temp is back up we can assume you ovulated?

Bundaberg84 · 08/06/2022 14:08

Thanks for sharing your chart @pennysays . Up until 5dpo it looked completely "normal", and after 5dpo it started a downward trend. It went slightly up this morning. AF is due in to - three days (FF says Saturday, another app Friday). I know there are several things that can influence temp, and I have to say I was was not sleeping very well the past couple of nights. Last night was good though.
Also, resting heart rate is decreasing as well, but that did never indicate anything for me to be honest, I just thought it might be handy to put it on a chart. I have been working out more regularly lately, that always influences my RHR.

pennysays · 09/06/2022 07:27

Temp drop and spotting today at 13dpo. No surprises here. On we go!

how is everyone else?

Franklydear · 09/06/2022 18:09

Hi, ladies
ill Be a bit quiet for a few days, we had some bad news in the family, my best friend has been ill for a while, as expected there’s nothing they can do, but we’ve been asked to say our goodbyes, it seems this is it, so very heartbroken, I’ll be back soon

Somatronic · 09/06/2022 19:27

@Franklydear I'm so sorry to hear that. How unbelievably sad that is for you and for her family and friends.

A friend of a good friend (I'd met her a few times only) died last weekend in childbirth. I can hardly believe it. It's so unnatural for young women to die like that. Thinking of you in the next few days and weeks xx

pennysays · 10/06/2022 22:57

im so sorry @Franklydear thats so sad. Sending you love.

Franklydear · 11/06/2022 15:11

Thank you everybody, congratulations on the new babies, they really light up our world, I’ll be back soon, things are rather bleak at the moment

Franklydear · 14/06/2022 03:33

Ladies, my friend passed away yesterday, just trying to muddle through it, cd 27 and late, isn’t it ironic?

Dawnbird · 14/06/2022 06:11

Aww @Franklydear that's awful. Hope you're coping okay.

I feel like I've been hit with a truck, this virus is awful. I was fully vaccinated, and a week later I'm starting to feel better but still pretty bad. Managed to catch OV on an OPK 2 days ago, but didn't get to DTD till the next morning and the OPK I did in the evening was neg, so I'm pretty sure we're out for this month.

Haven't tempted all week, will start again next cycle I guess.
