@gianaInfertilitySucks Welcome 🤗 I know someone who had unexplained infertility, they had their daughter via IVF and just gave birth to a son via a very unexpected natural conception!

@BellatrixK I must have totally missed your BFP and put you on the wrong list, apologies! When is your 12 week scan?

@pennysays I totally understand on the 'just housemates' thing. I genuinely have no idea how people keep their relationships exciting, especially with small children around. I have DS3 in my bed every night from about 11pm so have to schedule DTD between the time he goes to bed and the time he wakes up again, it's super romantic 🙄 I feel like we're just 2 people who work/toddler wrangle/do housework and then sit next to each other on the sofa on our phones ignoring each other cause we're too tired to bother/care

@pennysays annoyingly I forgot my testing strips at work yesterday as I started testing yesterday in the afternoon. Wasn't at the peak yesterday. Next time I will be able to test is on Monday.

@pennysays it's nice to talk to people that understand me. yes we've both had tests all seems fine, which drives me even more crazy. My dh suggested we search for an ivf coach or someone to guide us through the process. I hate it when he is all together when I'm spiriling 😅

Well, I had about seven days of EWCM and then it's gone, but no OV. Right around the time my 'normal' cycle would work too. FF pops up with another of their little info tips telling me this is a sign of PCOS. :( I don't have excess hair growth or hair loss, but I have every other symptom that I've read about.

Welp, I got in a phone consult with a GP and she's booked me in for a whole pile of blood tests tomorrow, and then will get a scan when the results are back in. Yay!

No worries at all. My 12 week scan is on Friday. I’m honestly stressing like nothing else before in my life! Just counting down days! 4 to go!

Life is slipping away at the moment, just managed to persuade the toddler to go away so catching up properly!

Ha I know what you mean @Sausage1990 when we stopped trying because of new job I was tracking every little thing for a bit still. Hard mindset to get out of!

@LoveQ 'they' say that anything up to a year is in the normal range so don't give up. DS took 10 months inc 1 MC and this time it took 12 months. It's just such a hard slog. Have you been to the dr yet? If you're over 35 I'd get down there and get some tests.

@pennysays I think winter never helps the whole 'housemates' not partners thing as it's so bloody cold and wet and dark so you just want to sit on the sofa. At least when it's lighter and brighter you actually want to leave the house and go and do stuff. Excellent work on the blood tests!

I think 'unexplained' is the worst @gianaInfertilitySucks where do you go from there?! Is IVF an option for you?

Yep yep @polkadotpixie we were doing better at the occasional dinner and stuff here but keep getting ill (not had a week since early March that all 3 of us have been well) so back to survival and shit TV. It's on my mental to-do list to make more of an effort again.

Great news on the dr's appt @Dawnbird! If it is PCOS I hope they can give you some meds to help!

@larrythelizard thank you for understanding. Yes we will go ahead with ivf, we will have to see if nhs funding is for us, otherwise we will check our options for cheaper clinics somewhere in europe. How are you going on? How is the little toddler? 🙂

@Franklydear hi! Thanks for checking in I'm fine. Nothing to report really. Yesterday I was convinced that I had a chemical but I think it was just that the official test from the clinic is less sensitive than my frers and the paler line freaked me out! I have a 7 week scan on the 26th. Had my thyroid bloods done today to make sure the dose I'm on is OK and that's about it.

The waiting doesn't ever end, does it!

WAHHHHH @Minster2012 has only gone and had her lovely baby! Congratulations! So so so happy for you! I feel like this should mumsnet wide news. Here is the update from her instagram which she said I could share here. (I’m not crying, you’re crying!)

She didn’t want to wait for the section after latent contractions for hours & about to be sent home my waters broke & 35 mins later was 7cm dilated (it is very dangerous for me to push her out on my internal scars so this wasn’t ideal) we were trying to get the team in for a c section quickly but my body was fighting for a natural birth by the time I was in theatre at 10 the plan was if I was fully dilated then suction her out so not me pushing, which I was but she was too high up so section quickly done so yeahhhh I’ll take both options please 🤣

What a journey …after my chemo stopped in 2019 we started TTC, 3 iVFs (one missed miscarriage first day of lockdown 2020 from first IVF) one BFN & one fail to thaw…a natural miracle pregnancy as we prepped for a new IVF round in April 2021 ending in miscarriage in end of may 2021 this last pregnancy made it from September to now, our little ray of Hope 🥰

she’s got low blood sugars & not latching so I’m hand expressing colostrum atm hoping for some milk & to try pumping too it’s hard!

She’s also got a fully turned out squished foot so we’ll see what they say about that but we are in love & Xander is too that mummy has “had finally had my baby”

Awwwwwww you guys thank you so much 😊 I didn't want to steam in and put a load of stuff on here but thank you so much @pennysays @Somatronic 😘both of us doing good, still not amazing at feeding (either of us) so I'm still getting my head round that, KILLER boobs but her foot is turning back in nicely & isn't a concern

I put on our other thread that it was DTD that brought on Labour, it def was, Friday night was a child free night so we could both have a lie in & steak & BJ night. Well now you know how that ended so it got us into this then got us out of it 😆

Xander has realised baby's are lovely but pretty boring & mean daddy has to help mummy & mummy can't do anything 😂

@Somatronic it's constant worry honestly, BUT tick the days down, there's no "reason" it will go wrong, everyone will help you through ☺️

I got a smiley on the OPK today! Woo-hoo! Lots of DTD will be squished in despite it being our busiest two days of the week. Should be about a 44 day cycle this time which is an improvement.

im enjoying the post-period moment when you can’t temporarily forget about it all and enjoy some stable hormones. DP and I had a big chat and he sounded up for doing the sperm analysis and I have my ultrasound booked for end of may. So we’re getting… somewhere. He’s keen to try clomid which, ok fine, we can but it honestly feels like a waste of time. But then I guess we’ll see what the doctor says.

seeing my friend who is a gp and has had a variety of fertility issues at the weekend and she is such a balm.
