@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! You can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where lots of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have had over 100 BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over including 2 on the last thread so we need to keep our lucky run going, no slacking ladies!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

@pennysays Good luck with your doctors appointment. I find it helps to feel like you're achieving something. I feel much calmer since we had our fertility appointment and have a plan

I'm currently 8dpo. Chart looks perfect so is obviously trolling me! This is cycle 11 and I conceived DS on cycle 11 so can't help but hope but have my usual luteal phase cramping from 7dpo so doubt it's going to end any different than the last 10 cycles!

At least I'm clearly ovulating properly again after a few months of dodgy looking charts. I think the high dose of vitamin B6 I was taking to extend my luteal phase was causing issues but I stopped that a couple of months back and my charts look better. Dreading the HyCoSy next cycle though 😩

That does look promising @polkadotpixie

Meanwhile mine is as messy as usual. 😂

MrsBiddy · 06/05/2022 06:32

Congratulations @Minster2012 so happy for you 🥲
Fingers and toes crossed for everyone else hoping for their little miracle 🥹 xx

I am still waiting for the results from the husbands SA, 🤞🏻fingers crossed it comes back ok

Mc3209 · 06/05/2022 16:05

I think I am 7dpo today. Trying not to think much about it or symptom spot, otherwise I will convince myself I'm pregnant and then crash with disappointment at BFN.

pennysays · 06/05/2022 21:45

Great chart @polkadotpixie and confusing chart @Dawnbird… how are you feeling?! Do you know what your body is doing?

We are here with you @Mc3209, when will you test? Xx

pennysays · 06/05/2022 21:47

My blood test came back as having low prolactin. Anyone know what this means? My doctor said she would “consult the endocrinologist” she said that last time so I assume she doesn’t know what that means either!!

Franklydear · 07/05/2022 07:16

@pennysays dont know, have you Google it?
@Mc3209 better don’t do that to yourself, remember af and pregnancy symptoms are pretty much the same

cd 18 here, had some creamy cm so pretty sure ovulation happened, last af was 22 days and the longest 34? so just waiting, trying not to think about it, I normally spot first so I’ll get some warning

Somatronic · 07/05/2022 07:31

@pennysays I'm not sure what low prolactin is but I'm pretty sure prolactin numbers can vary hugely between tests so hopefully it's not something to worry about. My endocrinologist was obsessed with my prolactin when I couldn't conceive - presumably because my pituitary gland is messed up already but it was always just about within the normal range. I'm sure the endocrinologist will explain all!

So I asked DH not to tell his mother about our positive test yet. I didn't mind him telling his brother but his mother is a bitch and was unkind to me about IVF so I didn't want to tell her just yet. Anyway he proceeds to tell her during the week anyway. I asked him to make sure she understood that she wasn't to tell a soul.

I needn't have worried. We came down to visit last night and she never mentioned it to me! Just complained about her ailments all evening. My DH prompted her and pointed to his stomach and she just looked at him gormlessly. Wtf! We met his brother later on and he said nothing either. DH's family is so weird. This is why I didn't want to tell them but I think DH felt obliged cos they knew about the IVF.

Somatronic · 07/05/2022 07:34

Also, for hope @Franklydear I met a friend last night whose sister had IVF for her 2 babies over 10 years ago and just had a baby completely unplanned at age 48 (nearly 49) last month! Isn't that amazing!

Franklydear · 07/05/2022 07:35

@Somatronic hmm, yes, I understand he felt he needed to tell them, try to ignore, you know positive comments or no comments, as far as you don’t get negative ones

Franklydear · 07/05/2022 07:37

@Somatronic oooh, 49? Wow, yes, thanks that gives me hope, ds was 12 yesterday, sometimes I feel like I am trying to have a baby at 80 surrender by 20 and 30 somethings

pennysays · 07/05/2022 09:07

@Somatronic @Franklydear ha of course I spent all night googling it. It doesn’t seem to be an actual medical problem according to most websites so I think it might be a red herring. But I’m grateful for my doctor who seems to be doing all she can.

@Somatronic your in laws are weird but I suppose at least you spared talking to your mil about your ivf as I remember the comments she made last time. Horrendous. You just focus on you and your bean.

Mc3209 · 07/05/2022 10:35

@pennysays I was fully set on waiting until 11-12dpo to test, but of course I caved in today at 8dpo, and it was a BFN on internet cheapie. I don't know why I do this to myself.
@Franklydear I forbade myself to symptom spot now. It's a straight road to insanity for me.
@Somatronic they sound strange indeed. Ignore ignore ignore.

Franklydear · 07/05/2022 11:29

@Mc3209 I’ve been to insanity and come out the other end now, I fully understand you, I also made a rule to not test before cd30 now, I might miss a chemical but after a few loses that’s not a bad thing

Dawnbird · 08/05/2022 03:46

I just found out one of my friends is TTC her first. Her partner has a 3yo, but she's been fairly anti having kids until she met him. So exciting! Plus she's a seamstress, and we're both huge gaming nerds (mostly tabletop these days) so we're going to have to colab on some cute baby stuff eventually.

Glad to hear you're doing better with this whole thing mentally @Franklydear it's a rough journey.

@pennysays yep, slowly deciphering the madness. I definitely OVed yesterday, so that's good. + on the OPKs two days in a row, fertile CM, and boobs doing their weird heavy thing they do when I OV last night (always seems to be at night though, so half the time I miss it!) so counting down the 2ww now.

DS11 made me bacon and eggs this morning for mother's day ❤and spent the morning playing Stardew Valley co-op with him and DS15 who lives with their dad. Now I'm just going to knit for the rest of the day. Yay for day off!

Franklydear · 08/05/2022 07:17

@Dawnbird are you in us? Happy Mother’s Day!

Dawnbird · 08/05/2022 08:00

@Franklydear no, New Zealand. 😊

polkadotpixie · 08/05/2022 08:08

Ugh I'm out again...BFN, big temp drop and period pains 😩 I'll have to call and schedule my HyCoSy tomorrow

And I just had to renew my FF subscription because it's been a year since we started trying 😭

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today

OP posts:
Dawnbird · 08/05/2022 08:43

@polkadotpixie sorry for the BFN. Hopefully the treatment helps. We're all allowed to feel a bit sorry for ourselves from time to time.

pennysays · 08/05/2022 08:45

Argh @Mc3209 i feel your pain. Stay strong, no more testing now.

@polkadotpixie im sorry about the temp drop and the renewal of the app. Those anniversaries make me want to have a rage tantrum. I felt the same when my years supply of folic acid ran out. Which coincided with have to go and see my friend’s new born. I had a lot of crying that day. But when I posted about it on here @Somatronic said her dr had told her to “grow up” or something along those lines and I loved the at advice so I’m taking it!

take care of of yourself today. It’s feels awful today. It won’t always feel so bad.

pennysays · 08/05/2022 09:01

@Franklydear happy birthday to your ds!!

Franklydear · 08/05/2022 10:16

@pennysays thank you, as a party is too overwhelming, we are having a few individual events with a friend, I think the party would be cheaper and less stressful, for me anyway@Dawnbird
I was guessing by my knowledge of where it is mother's Day today, I don't know about doing better, more like resigned
@polkadotpixie I have hate hate those anniversaries, damm it

Somatronic · 08/05/2022 11:10

@polkadotpixie I'm sorry 😞 Totally understand how you're feeling and it really sucks. Like @pennysays said I had a similar issue with my folic acid being renewed and wondering wtf I was taking it for after a year and a half!

@Franklydear happy birthday to your boy. I hope he has a lovely day.

@Dawnbird happy Mother's Day!

Manifestingbaby · 08/05/2022 22:54

@Minster2012 oh congratulations! Welcome baby Bronte 💗 so happy for you. Lovely to check in and see such good news x

Franklydear · 09/05/2022 06:39
