@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! You can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where lots of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have had over 100 BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over including 2 on the last thread so we need to keep our lucky run going, no slacking ladies!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

Aww bless you @Dawnbird that's hard isn't it. It may have been a chemical for sure, I mean if you weren't tracking ov it's hard to know for sure. My cycles have been between 29-46 days but in the last have been as long as 62!!! I've been pregnant twice since then so it's definitely possible but found doing opk and being in tune with cm the most helpful to timing it all.... And then just hoping not will work.x

Sausage1990 · 23/04/2022 20:54

Hoping it* will work. Obviously lol

Dawnbird · 24/04/2022 21:39

@Sausage1990 right! My problem with CM is I tend towards a lot of fertile CM. Last month I had 3 separate lots of very stretchy, mostly clear CM. The sort you'd see the day or two before OV. But weeks before! Which is confusing with a long cycle.

pennysays · 25/04/2022 19:33

Checking in with your opks @polkadotpixie and where are you at @40ttc? @dmb91 how are you doing? Anymore spotting or ugly crying?

@Sausage1990 how is your cycle at the moment? I don’t know anything about CM @Dawnbird dawnbird, it never seems to be there are the right time, always during the tww.

Waiting for AF as there has been no spermination this time. I’m going to suggest we go straight to ivf at a clinic because my next ovulation is not due until FFFFING JUNE.

Definitely not checking in on order asking any questions or thinking about anything to do with @Somatronic

polkadotpixie · 25/04/2022 20:26

@pennysays Thanks for checking in on me 😊 OPKs went back to low and stayed low until this afternoon but are almost positive now (CD15). DTD on Saturday and I'm just waiting on DH getting out the shower so we can do it again tonight 😂 I'll probably ovulate tomorrow or Wednesday although I'm not holding out much hope of a BFP, I've kind of just resigned myself to passing the time until I get the HyCoSy done and letrozole started now and hopefully that will do the trick!

Have you had your first consultation at the fertility clinic yet? Would it be worth trying Clomid/letrozole before going to IVF? It's much cheaper obviously which is why I'm determined to give it a go even though the doctor wasn't over keen as I do ovulate because I really can't afford IVF

OP posts:
Somatronic · 25/04/2022 20:39

@polkadotpixie do you know when you'll have the hycosy and start the letrozole? Will you be having follicle tracking?

@pennysays you can ignore me for another week! I have no symptoms other than ones from progesterone so not too hopeful. There's nothing happening here except for inner turmoil and getting fat. Last night in had to carry my tits around in my hands because my bras are too small now but they still need the support. So glam!

dmb91 · 25/04/2022 23:01

@pennysays it was the start of AF! So cycle was 81 days.
Got a few nights away booked for May, asked DP if we can book a holiday every time I get upset and he agreed 😂 to be fair, the lady who took my implant out told me I had to have lots of impromptu weekends away because you can't do that when you have a baby, so it's basically Drs orders right?

Dawnbird · 26/04/2022 03:05

Had a temp dip this morning, and lots of fertile CM, but OPK was negative, fingers crossed for tomorrow. If my cycles go back to their usual length I should OV in the next few days, so here's hoping.

@Somatronic Crop top style bras are great when you're fluctuating in size, and useful later for PG, or when BFing for something to sleep in to hold in breast pads.

polkadotpixie · 26/04/2022 23:06

@Somatronic I'm having the HyCoSy after my next AF, between CD8-12. I was supposed to have it this cycle but I couldn't get another day off around Easter and my colleagues annual leave

I got pregnant with DS straight after my HSG so I'm going to give it a couple of cycles after the HyCoSy and if no luck start the letrozole. My first cycle will be monitored but we can do up to 6 but I think I'll probably just do 4 and then move onto IVF

How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Franklydear · 27/04/2022 06:12

Quite meh from coming back to real life, luckily I have the day off so I can laze around a little while getting housework done, cd 7/8, have to start dtding but I couldn’t master the energy yet

Somatronic · 27/04/2022 07:09

@polkadotpixie that sounds like a good plan. Hopefully the hycosy will work its magic!

I'm feeling very bloated and gross. And my tummy hurts constantly and I've decided it hasn't worked! Was back on site in work yesterday after 2 weeks WFH and had a disaster day. Other people leaving their work to me last minute-incredibly stressful. Hopefully today will be better.

@Franklydear good plan to ease yourself back in to real life!

Manifestingbaby · 27/04/2022 10:51

@Somatronic I'm late to the party but was just having a quick scroll and see you are PUPO!!! had to say congratulations x I see your post above about not feeling hopeful but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed 😉

And also spotted @sausage 😃 welcome back , happy to hear you are ready to start ttc again. I really do hope you have nothing but good news from here on out x

Hope everyone else is doing well. Sorry it was just a quick scroll for a nosey at any obvious news (+)

LoveQ · 27/04/2022 18:12

Hi everyone 👋🏻

So I took my 2 months break, all though the only break I had was monitoring to a degree, I mean I'm still well aware of when ovulation is going on because of the EWCM 😅

Anyways still no success, I'm actually thinking it's just not going to happen so I'm close to just giving up all together, with my other two it only took 2/3 months from stopping my pill, I'm currently on cycle 9 since stopping my pill, 7 of those were spent trying.

Hope everyone is doing well 💗

polkadotpixie · 27/04/2022 20:52

@Somatronic I think bloated and gross is a good sign! Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

@LoveQ Don't give up hope, 9 months is still very much in the normal range (although I know it feels like forever, especially if you've conceived quickly previously). This is cycle 11 for me and it took us 11 cycles with DS so hoping for a repeat and definitely not giving up either, we're all feeling the same and here if you need a good rant

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 28/04/2022 09:41

@Somatronic other ppl have thought they were out & they weren't! Let's hope today is better xx

@LoveQ I think it takes on average a year to conceive anyway, so don't give up hope yet

@Franklydear it's always meh coming back to real life!! You need a holiday 😂

Good luck to all 😊

paintfairy · 28/04/2022 10:52

@Somatronic i felt bloated and awful too. And that didnt go away until about 10 weeks! My friend felt nothing and it subsided and it hadnt worked for her. So dont take it as a bad sign. I had no other signs either and because i was so bloated and yuck, i couldnt really tell any symptoms about anything. My only signs were my RHR didnt drop and i had no spotting/bleeding whatsoever. Which by OTD my period was overdue and usually i would be (even the progesterone doesnt hold it off). Fingers crossed!

Mc3209 · 28/04/2022 13:56

Hi lovelies, can I join you please? I am in a bit of a strange situation, but would love to be able to chat about this whole TTC malarkey. We are TTC for #2, already have 18 months old DS, I still breastfeed 1-2 in the day and 1-2 a night. I had Mirena coil put in after I had my son, which then slipped and I switched to the pill. I didn't have any periods on Mirena (expected, I suppose), but when I didn't get withdrawal bleeds with the pill with negative pregnancy tests, I decided to stop it and see what is happening 'down there'. That was about 6 weeks ago, still no AF of any shape or form, but we decided to start TTCing #2.

Don't have a clue where I am in the cycle as no AF yet. We are just DTD at least once weekly, using preseed, and I am testing every Wednesday. <POAS addict alert!>

We managed to catch the first cycle with DS doing SMEP, and I used to have very regular cycles prior to first pregnancy, so this whole 'what is happening down there?!' is new to me. I know the logical thing would be to wait until AF shows up and then start properly, but who needs logic! 🤣 🫠

I am not mentally ready to completely stop BF, and DS is a bit of a boob monster so I have a feeling it will be a struggle. But on the other hand I am really broody for a bub #2 😬 I don't think we can do SMEP again just now, mainly because I have no clue of my current cycles and there is no way we will be able to sustain DTD every 2 days!

So there. Apologies for the novel!

Franklydear · 29/04/2022 06:06

@Mc3209 welcome, and we like novels here, don’t worry, I also started ttc without waiting for af after the pill, who can wait? not sure how much breastfeeding would interfere really
you're in good company, if anything we need a bit of new life, it’s been slow lately, maybe we can do a recap for you
i am quite crazy really, 44, I have a ds, 12 next week, had a few losses along the way, started ttcing in nov 2019! but dh is not quite ready to give up yet, so we are currently not preventing, don’t have much hope but here I am no the less

Somatronic · 29/04/2022 07:46

Welcome @Mc3209

@paintfairy thank you for that support during the week. It really helped me get through the last couple of days!

My biobs went back to normal a few days ago so I decided it didn't work and that I'd test today to out myself out of my misery. Today is 10dp5dt and OTD is Monday.

Well look at this! I'm not getting too exited as it's crazy early but I'm very relieved and pleased. No idea if that's a good line or not but I'm happy enough.

Somatronic · 29/04/2022 07:46

Boobs not biobs!

Dawnbird · 29/04/2022 08:03

@Somatronic looks like a solid line to me! Exciting!

I could have sworn I OV'd over the past few days by every sign... except the OPKs which have been solidly stuck on a nope. :/

Minster2012 · 29/04/2022 11:54

@Somatronic bloody hell you skipped that in there 🐣🥰🎉that's a fab line!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sunbird24 · 29/04/2022 12:17

@Somatronic that is most definitely a line!

Manifestingbaby · 29/04/2022 13:13

Whata line! Congrats @Somatronic x

paintfairy · 29/04/2022 13:34

@Somatronic erm, that is most definitely a good line! Congratulations! 🥳🥳🥳

(See, I told you. 😬).
