@Somatronic the trigger shot you took before egg collection has hcg in it, so there may still be some left in your system (which gives a false positive) so a lot of women "test out" the trigger shot to ensure a result is correct. So like testing everyday from now for instance. But if you test around day 9 it will be out anyway, should be after 6/7 after egg collection which is sooner anyway

How interesting @Minster2012 I've never heard of that before. But I can't imagine anything worse than testing every day and squinting and stressing over tests for the next fortnight. I'll try to hold out!

Yes @Somatronic even though I didn't do fresh I waited a good 10 days cos enjoyed the feeling of being PUPO & wanted to know it was right

@Somatronic I usually manage to wait until at least day 9, but last time I just knew on day 5 post transfer - my nose got so sensitive overnight that I could smell myself!!

my temp has finally risen so at least I know have ovulated even if there is no spooge in my system and I’m not 100 miles away from my doctors for my day 2 blood test.

@Sunbird24 😂 hormones and smell are insane aren't they? I used to get really bad periods as a teenager. I remember once making my father leave the building I was in because I could smell him I was going to puke if he didn't go away. Everyone thought I was insane.

@Minster2012"asked" is putting it nicely. More like barked. I told my mother I would kill my Dad if he didn't leave. In my defence the heightened sense of smell was driving me insane and every smell was making me vomit and I couldn't take any more vomiting. That particular period was so bad our flight was grounded in Italy because they thought I was seriously ill even though I explained to the nurse they summoned for me that it was just a horror period (she didn't have a word of English so I "explained" using hand gestures and by waving sanitary pads in her face). Good times. Hot weather always made my periods worse. Thank God I grew out of all that!

I'm absolutely howling at nearly grounding a plane for period pain @Somatronic waving pads in her face 😂 my periods were awful, heavy & often came every 2 weeks hence why I went on contraception to try manage it. And here we are what like 20 years later wondering why we have issues??? 🙄

Oh heck, not looking forward to the heightened sense of smell. I have a strong sense of smell normally anyway, and it gets really bad. Our flatmate likes to make kombucha and slowcook bones for broth in the pantry. I think DP is just going to be in charge of cooking for 9 months, and the pantry door is going to be kept shut on pain of death. He's the better cook anyway tbh, so I think we'll be okay.

@Somatronic just caught up on all the latest (had done a stress flit to mothers house due to moving in 7 days and not being able to stand the sight of my upside-down house any more!) obs now totally invested and keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky one for you!

@Franklydear I’ve had a 22 day cycle before, I wasn’t TTC at the time but I was annoyed anyway, who wants AF every 3 weeks?!

I’m on CD12 today and OPKs are pretty dark so I think it’ll be an early ovulation again this cycle. I prefer when it’s around CD15/16 but I guess CD13/14 is okay. It’ll mean a 23/24 day cycle though since I have a short luteal phase which is annoying

Had a complete meltdown after my post last night, lots of ugly crying!

Tiny amount of pinkish blood when I wiped Thursday evening, ting bit of old brown blood last night and now nothing.
I can't even bleed properly.

In the (almost) 10 months ttc I've had two occasions of spotting and 1 period.
LH, FSH and TSH blood tests, external and internal ultrasound and the drs tell me there nothing wrong. 🤔

On the plus side.. DP did agree that we can book a little getaway so we have something to look forward too so I'll be spending my day forwarding him options 😂

@larrythelizard DH hasn't had any counselling, he's not the kind of person who would take to it. I'm sure that should we have more bad luck, I could persuade him to try again. He's just worried about me that's all. I'm trying to stay calm about it all because as @InkyPaper said it is also of pressure and I just don't need it or want to go there.

Yeah @larrythelizard reoccurring miscarriage clinic has been in helpful for me. I have sticky blood (antiphospholipid syndrome) so have a plan for asprin 150mg and heparin injections once I'm pregnant again. I've got advice to contact epu when I get a BFP and I'll have an early scan at 5-6weeks to confirm its not ectopic and then start heprin. The ectopic check is just a precaution before the blood thinners. I've had a few consultant appointments on the phone and she's been positive and proactive. So we'll just have to wait and see 🤞🏻

@Dawnbird @pennysays long cycles are horrible. I've had crazy long ones myself in the past and since my last miscarriage in may last year my cycles have been all over the place. It's so infuriating and I empathize 💕

Also I just want to add, despite my desire to be super chill about not trying but not preventing, I have been doing opk like they're going out of fashion these last few days as I've had so much watery cm it's insane. Like literally feel like I've come on or wet myself a bit. I had ewcm a little while ago but I'm assuming I didn't ovulate because now I've got this watery cm and my opk the last 2 days has come back super strong....

So much for going with the flow 🤣🤣🙈🙈

I did wonder if I had an early mc late last year. I was convinced at the time but tests came up neg. Might have done them at the wrong time though, wasn't tracking ov yet then. Had one period that was super light, then the next that was early and crazy heavy and clotty. (24 day cycle) the cycle after those was normal enough in length (32 days) but heavy AF again then two 53 day cycles.
