@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! You can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where lots of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have had over 100 BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over including 2 on the last thread so we need to keep our lucky run going, no slacking ladies!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

Which pessaries gave you got @Somatronic? I had crinone with my first transfer but cyclogest every time since

Somatronic · 18/04/2022 22:42

@Sunbird24 Utrogestan, and only 400mg a day so not sure why I feel so rough.

Dawnbird · 19/04/2022 01:29

Congrats Somatronic! Hope you have a sticky little egg in there.

I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself, burying myself in work and knitting. I'm gutted at having a second 53 day cycle, somehow the exact same number makes it feel more like this is the new me kind of thing. I'm still hoping for a more sane ovulation this month, but other than temping/checking CM I'm trying not to think about it too much.

In hindsight, getting through the last 6 months would've been much harder if I was PG, so maybe everything does happen for a reason. We're more than ready now though, so c'mon do your thing little swimmers. Grin

Minster2012 · 19/04/2022 07:24

@Somatronic today is transfer day whoop whoop whoop!! That's so awesome! You'll be PUPO soon! I had 400mg cyclogest & felt a variety of things. I had the early wake ups at around 2/3am & crazy dreams, huge throbbing boobs but I'm not sure about constant fatigue? It affects everyone differently and really weird stuff, I took both mine at night if that helps?

pennysays · 19/04/2022 07:40

Here for the #eggwatch come on you tiny bundle of cells!!

Feel for you @Dawnbird cd66. Day 66 over here and I think? I have ovulated? But my temp seems stable. The left side of my uterus no linger feels like it’s going to explode though so that’s good.

What we’re your cycles like before?

larrythelizard · 19/04/2022 10:13

I've been barely holding on to normal life with my finger tips with a run of loads of illness and other stuff so not had the chance to check in with you all, looks like some exciting times (@Somatronic I mean you!)

Whoop transfer day @Somatronic will be sending your little embabies sticky vibes!

That sounds rough @Dawnbird - long old cycle - will you go to the Dr about it?

My periods went haywire for a good few cycles after my MC @Sunbird24 - wonder if it's also worse for you given the retained products? Have you moved yet?

How are you doing @pennysays? Other than pleased ovulation pains have gone

Oh @Sausage1990 that's tough, has he had any counselling? Maybe worth some joint counselling no matter the outcome of your next cycle trying? Did you ever get anything useful back from the recurrent miscarriage clinic?

Hoping you're alright @lakejupiter?

Dawnbird · 19/04/2022 10:31

@pennysays 34-36 days since I took my mirena out last July. So on the long side of average, but still within the norm.

@larrythelizard I've tried, but had my appointment cancelled because the doctor it was with evaporated, and haven't been able to find a time to re-book. Our GP clinic doesn't have any full time doctors right now, just locums (it's a very small clinic), and our city is pretty bad at having doctors offices being full up with clients, so last time I looked into it I couldn't actually switch. I used to live really close to this clinic, but moved a suburb away a few months ago so I guess it's about time to ring around again!

Since I have 3 kids from a previous relationship (granted the youngest IS 11, and a lot can change in 12 years) and I'm still under 35 I don't really expect them to take me too seriously until we've been trying for a year.

larrythelizard · 19/04/2022 10:47

It's so frustrating though @Dawnbird - it's not like long cycles are 'normal'...!

Dawnbird · 19/04/2022 10:56

Yeah, DP is with a different doctor, though he's much more casual (it'll happen when it's meant to etc) about the whole thing, but if we hit the year mark I'm going to push him to at least get tested and rule out whether that side isn't helping.

I've noticed pharmacies selling sperm testing kits, anyone tried them? Any good? If I dump it in his lap it's much harder to put it off. Halo

Somatronic · 19/04/2022 11:29

@pennysays and @Dawnbird FFS how frustrating for you both with the long cycles. This process is hard enough without that on top of it making everything more uncertain re ovulation etc.

@Dawnbird that's annoying about the doctor. My doctor is retiring at the moment so I don't know what I'll do. I think @lakejupiter has experience with the home sperm testing kits but I haven't seen her here in a while. I hope everything is OK with her.

@Minster2012 Well I'm with you on the tits situation. Good grief. My bras don't fit me anymore! I've always been the small chested one in my family (whenever I mention anything about my boobs the response is inevitably "you don't have any boobs" from my mother/aunts/cousins) so this is a whole new world haha.

@larrythelizard thanks!

Seriously girls the support here is amazing. My two best friends know that I'm going through IVF at the moment and they haven't asked me once how I'm doing! Even when I sent them a hilarious pic of me off my tits on drugs after egg collection they just ignored the picture. So I'm glad to have you guys, I really really appreciate it.

Minster2012 · 19/04/2022 12:50

@Somatronic I'm sorry your friends IRL aren't that supportive, it will be because they don't know what to say & also just don't understand the process or how hard & emotionally tough it actually is. Yep the tits!! Welcome to the boob growing club!

That sounds really tough with the long cycles and doctor situation @Dawnbird, I'd still suggest trying just in case and @pennysays too ridiculous long cycles are not good. Keep pushing

Franklydear · 19/04/2022 14:55

Really annoyed, starting to have sore foof, I don’t think af is going to wait until I’m home😢 only cd 22 too

Somatronic · 19/04/2022 17:08

@Franklydear how annoying! Why can't the foofs just behave!

All went well today. They said the blastocyst was excellent quality and everything looked good so they have high hopes for me!

And the most amazing part is, I have 4 high quality blastocysts for the freezer! I can't believe they all made it!

pennysays · 19/04/2022 18:36

Whhhhhhhhooooooooop!!!!Smile ok! Now to keep busy for the next 14 days! How are you feeling?

Franklydear · 19/04/2022 18:54

@Somatronic so pupo now?
Spotting now, bloody fantastic, pun intended, perfect busy couple of days to have my period, could it not wait till Sunday so I can be in my sofa in pijamas with a hot water bottle and a cup of hot chocolate? and to make it worse, I am at my mum's, so fully dressed by 10, and telenovelas all day on the telly, so can't even relax on the sofa, or hide the pads

Somatronic · 19/04/2022 19:03

@pennysays yes keeping busy will be the hard bit. I feel fine! A few twinges but nothing major.

I was going to go home at the weekend to visit my family but I got a barrage of texts from family members today telling me they spent the morning lighting candles and praying for me in church. I mean, it's very sweet of them but this is the reason I didn't want the extended family to know about it so I might try to go away with DH somewhere for a night and avoid the family and the pressure and the fecking rosary beads, seeing as we're both atheists. My mother and her big mouth!

@Franklydear annoying not having your home comforts when you feel unwell. I hope you're OK in the next few days.

Minster2012 · 19/04/2022 19:36

@Somatronic 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉omg 4 Frosties too that's brilliant 🤩 and yeah that whole family thing would freak me a bit 😂do they give you a 14 day official results date (OTD) or sooner?

@Franklydear that's so frustrating for you

larrythelizard · 19/04/2022 19:59

Whoop @Somatronic pupo!! Try and take the religion thing as very well meaning and more people rooting for you (would deffo also make me feel uneasy too!)

Sunbird24 · 19/04/2022 20:33

@Somatronic did you get fries after? Grin
My BFF prays to St Anthony for me every time, but I’m sure he’s the patron saint of lost things or something like that, so not convinced he’s the best bet…

InkyPaper · 19/04/2022 20:36

@Somatronic wooooooooooooooop!! 4 frosties is amazing!! Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

Somatronic · 19/04/2022 21:18

Thanks ladies!

@Sunbird24 sugar I forgot all about the McDonalds! I just ate some leftover Easter Egg when I got home. Ah well. If it doesn't work out we'll know what to blame it on! Your friend praying to St Anthony made me laugh. My grandmother used to pray to him when she lost her purse, keys, slippers etc, which was several times a day. Then she had to pay him for every item "he" found for her so she was always pleading poverty because of St Anthony 😆

@Minster2012 yes it's 14 days! I thought it would be 9. Can't see myself lasting 14.

Franklydear · 20/04/2022 08:02

Af came in the night, 22 days cycles are a thing, right?

Dawnbird · 20/04/2022 11:37

@Franklydear yeah, average is around 28 days, but 'normal' is anywhere from 21 to 35 days give or take.

Minster2012 · 20/04/2022 13:31

@Somatronic you don't have to last 🤫are you wanting to test the trigger out?

Dawnbird · 21/04/2022 01:04

I've been reading the book Big Fat Negative by Emma Haslett and Gabriella Griffith. Very funny, relatable and informative.

Highly recommend. Probably even better for you ladies starting down the IVF road.
