@Minster2012 apparently didn't learn from the last time and is once again letting me loose behind the wheel whilst she enjoys her well earned rest! You can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where lots of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have had over 100 BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over including 2 on the last thread so we need to keep our lucky run going, no slacking ladies!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

Hi can Proceive Advanced Fertility Supplement Women - 60 Capsules be taken if your over 35? As I'm 36? And prefer tablets?

Minster2012 · 04/04/2022 19:14

@Somatronic you are on boom!! Come on AF!

@polkadotpixie it can def only help. A couple I know had a couple of issues (slight male factor then pcos for her) and after 2 years they had their nhs ivf & got pregnant on the second attempt, I said to them sometimes some ppl just need a helping hand. They've had a frozen transfer of one of their frozen embryos from previously in Dec & are now expecting baby number 2. It can def take the pressure off & get the results 😍

Hope everyone else is keeping well ❤️

40ttc · 04/04/2022 21:25

@Dawnbird hopefully not covid! it was my birthday today and I woke up to a text telling me I had been in close contact with someone who has since tested positive so another 10 days of daily LFTs so sick if them now think this is the 4th week on the trot glad to report my vaccine seems to be holding up well! Grin

Franklydear · 05/04/2022 06:47

Hey ladies, ewcm here still, cd8 so pretty logical, I am finally going home on the weekend so the next two weeks might be sketchy, if I have to depend on the home WiFi, no more roaming, thanks brexit....

Somatronic · 05/04/2022 10:44

@40ttc Happy belated birthday! I hope you had a nice day despite the text about being a close contact!

@Franklydear I'm delighted that you're getting home finally - hope you have a lovely trip.

I'm on day 3 of stims. I had heart palpitations last night and I'm exhausted and feel really stupid today. My first action at work was to send an email to the wrong person and I feel like I'm going to be doing a lot of stupid stuff in the next week or so. I'm also a maniac for sweets all of a sudden so I'll have to try to nip that in the bud. No other news other than trying really hard to avoid Covid.

pennysays · 05/04/2022 16:31

@Somatronic sorry you feel crap but all for a good cause! This is so exciting! Is it all the same process as @InkyPaper? I.e make great eggs, fertilise in test tube, implant, cross all fingers? What’s the timings on it?

Can’t wait for it to be me.

pennysays · 05/04/2022 16:33

@polkadotpixie I’m also trying to up my fitness and lose some weight. As you say it can’t hurt! Solidarity.

Somatronic · 05/04/2022 16:45

@pennysays indeed it is all for a good cause, and to be honest it's a bit of a relief for it to be someone else's hands and not to be trying again month after month with nothing happening.

So I'm on these injections for maybe 12 days - depends on how it goes. I'm going for a scan on the 8th and the egg retrieval should be some time next week - probably later in the week. Then all going well I'll be having an embryo put back in 5 or 6 days later. Then we wait! Wow it sounds so soon when I write it down. Yikes!

InkyPaper · 05/04/2022 18:49

@Somatronic ooooh it's all starting to happen now!! For egg collection definitely take the entire day off for it if you can because there is pain after (like not impossible to manage but I was definitely glad not to be back in the office). Mine was on a Friday, which was handy although originally it was supposed to be on the Wednesday.

Somatronic · 05/04/2022 18:59

@InkyPaper thanks for the advice! I was told to take the day off by the consultant so I'll definitely do that. I'm actually lucky because my usually very demanding boss will be on 2 weeks holidays from next week and I can work from home throughout so that'll help me a lot to manage I think. I must ask the clinic about Easter holidays now that I think of it-they might be closed for a few days.

InkyPaper · 05/04/2022 19:13

@Somatronic oh perfect! Demanding boss has timed her holiday well 😄 That's good that your consultant told you, I couldn't remember if my clinic told me to or not 😂

Minster2012 · 05/04/2022 20:37

@Somatronic that's so exciting!! And yes I also agree on the day off for EC & the one after I would say but if you are WFH & can laze then that's ok, I was more bruised feeling the day after 😊keep blasting through the stims, it's not fun, but you are doing great 😊 come on follicles!

@40ttc hope you had a nice birthday!

Dawnbird · 06/04/2022 00:18

@somatronic that is soexciting!! Coming up so fast!

I've been spotting on and off for the past few days, but it's not settling into anything. Just got some FRER (The good stuff!) in the post today so I guess I'll test tomorrow. Cervix is still high and temp hasn't dropped, my body is just confusing as ever.

Franklydear · 06/04/2022 06:42

@Somatronic that’s good, if working from home is easy and at your pace,
@Dawnbird fingers crossed, what cd are you?
@40ttc happy birthday!

I am really tired, I have a long week in work, and travelling home Friday night, ovulation should be around now, and ewcm is showing on and off, I had some cramps yesterday, but as we'll be at parents for two weeks and nothing scapes catholic mothers, it’ll be a total break in ttc sense and see where we are coming back with af or time to test, we haven’t been timing but dtd happened at fun pace so we’ll see

40ttc · 06/04/2022 09:43

@somatronic fingers firmly crossed for you and deffo couple of days off I'm good with pain but was vomiting from it post egg collection
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes had an unexpectedly nice day after the slightly alarming start! Was very spoilt!

polkadotpixie · 06/04/2022 15:41

I'm on the way to the fertility clinic with DH to get our AMH and SA results and plan the next steps and I'm absolutely shitting myself that it's going to be bad news and they're going to say they can't do anything to help 😩

OP posts:
polkadotpixie · 06/04/2022 16:47

My AMH has gone up to 22! I don't understand how and I honestly can't believe it as it was 7.5 in 2018 and I was fully anticipating it being mega low so I'm really shocked. She said it was really good for my age (38 next month)

I've had bloods done to check my progesterone today, I'm only 6dpo but she said that would be fine. I've then got to call on CD1 to schedule my HyCoSy and she said we can look to try letrozole or Clomid if still no luck in 3 months

Overall, I'm feeling pretty positive! Hopefully this will be my month anyway and I'll have just wasted £600 😂

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 06/04/2022 16:54

@polkadotpixie that's great!!! Mine was 2.1 in 2017 then in March 2021 it had come back to 14 & the consultant was staggered saying it's kinda impossible but he out it down to my cortisol not being managed which impacts on fertility & the chemo...obviously pregnant now (& got pregnant twice naturally) so you know, just saying 😂

Minster2012 · 06/04/2022 16:55

@Franklydear you are still in with a chance & the break will be great for you

polkadotpixie · 06/04/2022 18:53

@Minster2012 The only things I can think of are either it was a typo in 2018 and should have been 27.5 rather than 7.5 or maybe my ovaries hadn't kicked back into gear when I had it tested (3 months after the birth of DS). Either that or Ubiquinol really is that good for eggs 😂

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 06/04/2022 19:35

Well again you see @polkadotpixie I started taking that in Jan of 2021 so who knows! And I'm 38 in July too 🥰

pennysays · 06/04/2022 19:57

Right I’ve ordered my proceive and going to get my ubiquinol from bulk like @Somatronic. There was me thinking I wasn’t going to take folic acid anymore and now I’ll just doubling down.

Going to push for dp to get to the fertility clinic asap on the next cycle.

Does anyone want the clear blue ovulation tests? I have a few ill not going to use cause they don’t work for people with mad-ass cycles.

Such great news @polkadotpixie

Delivering bundles of baby clothes to my friend soon. And feel gutted about it. Thought it would me using them but she got there first and there is no use in them gathering dust in the loft. Going through all baby toys and putting them away. Also hard cause I just don’t know if we’ll ever use them again. Cd53 here in case you’re wondering.

@Franklydear surely catholic mims support sex for procreation??!!

pennysays · 06/04/2022 23:58

I’ve just looked back at my cycles and realised I ovulated four times in the last year. Feeling like a twat for having spent £40 on supplements. As if that’s the ffing problem here.

Franklydear · 07/04/2022 06:11

@pennysays support is not the word, more of a hassle one must endure, but I would like to at least change the sheets myself, mum doesn’t need to know the schedule, but the break is more mentally, I can’t possibly test without mums catching some evidence of it, so might as well not symptom spot, I am pretty sure will be post ovulation anyway, @Minster2012 you’re right, will be a welcome break, might help me change the pace

Dawnbird · 07/04/2022 20:33

CD2 here, cramps suck. I don't usually get them, but it's been rough this month.

Enjoy your break @Franklydear!

@pennysays good luck with the fertility clinic. Sounds like the right move if you're getting 4 cycles a year. I fear that's going to be us if we're still waiting this time next year, at this rate I'll be down to 6 or 7 in a year if the past couples length (53-54 days) keeps up.
