So I've bitten the bullet and decided to have one last stab at ivf as still have a free cycle available (we'll pre paid at least!) last go was way back in 2018 ttc for 9 plus years at 46 it's a very long shot but hey my mum was 46 when still had my sister! So my consultant has suggested for the best chance I take 600 of Co enzyme q 10 and 25mg x3 daily of Dhea does anyone have any experience / insights of these supplements would love to hear from you?!

Hi @40ttc well, for the supplements @Minster2012 is the Queen, I am 44 so quite feel, trying naturally, I have 1 ds, 11, so free nhs ivf not an option, finances don’t allow for private

Hi @Dawnbird! @franklydear I have 3 dc 27 26 and 23 but with a previous partner so also not eligible for nhs ivf let's just say I've done a lot of overtime! to pay for a two go package with access fertility had the first go then when we were ready to try again got waylaid by pandemic! So here we are!

I was summoned?! Hi @40ttc for both my ivf & natural TTC I took proceive TTC, the Co enzyme 10, high strength Vit D & high strength vit C & krill oil as well as a blood flow tablet too as I was told my lining was thin on many an occasion. I get all my supplements from FutureYou health

@Somatronic when are you starting the ivf drugs after the northisterone?

There seems to be a hell of a lot of spotting on this bus, what the hell is that about?! 😂bloody bodies being annoying

@minster2012 thanks I think my doc is just trying anything at this stage as he says he's never had a successful ivf over 43 obviously I'm gonna prove that there's life in the ole gal yet! how did you get on with the supplements I'm a bit hesitant on the dhea I've heard good and bad reports!

@Minster2012 leaky bus? Oh no.

Oh and my DH was on the mens future you health fertility plus ones @40ttc I got on well with them, they are all organic so I thought why not! Something helped def 😂You can def prove them wrong!

@Dawnbird call the mechanics you don't want a leaky bus when it's snowing!!

@40ttc best of luck with IVF! I take Co-Enzyme 10 - same dose that you were prescribed. I had been taking tablets but they were nearly €50 a bottle so I now use a cheaper alternative - it's a powder version which I mix into a yoghurt because it doesn't dissolve in water. The brand is Bulk and it's a bit of a pain but less of a pain for me than €50 every three weeks when I'm already paying for IVF.

@Minster2012 Hi! Hope all is well with you. The nurses predicted that I should have a bleed today and told me to start injections on day 2 of full flow bleed so I'm just waiting...lots and lots of waiting!

Welp, DPN this morning. Still no AF, spotting has stopped. No symptoms. Maybe I did OV CD40 after all. FFffffff. I'm glad I've got OPKs to do next cycle. :/

BFN. Not DPN... I clearly need more sleep.

@MrsBiddy looks like you haven’t ovulated yet. I have had cycles where I didn’t and I spotted a lot and had no temp change. They were loooong cycles.

@polkadotpixie that’s a mixed bag of news! What does it mean for you now? Are you still isolating?

@Minster2012 are you really 32 weeks? It has just flown by!! You’re gonna have a baby SO SOOOON!

Nothing exciting happening here. Cd 59, have sobbed every day this week so think I’m probably gearing up for ovulation but opks are being coy. We’re not trying this cycle which is a whole thing I can’t think about but we will try next cycle. So just trying to keep tabs on everything because when your cycles are as batshit crazy as some of ours our, the best you can do record it and hope for a pattern somewhere. Lost my bloody bbt thermometer though.

@pennysays thanks for checking in! I feel like shit actually. Have what feels like Covid for the past 2 days but antigens are clear. It's given me nausea and a very sick stomach aswell so that is fun.

Good news is that I have a bleed this morning so I guess I start meds tomorrow!

@Somatronic the one time we're going to be happy someone is bleeding! Hope you're feeling well, and the meds/cycle go smoothly.

My temp was up this morning, 37 which is half a degree higher than my highest temps, but I think I'm coming down with something, so that might be it. Hopefully not covid.

@Somatronic Yay for AF! (sounds so weird to say that on a TTC thread)...do you start your injections straight away?

I'm 3dpo. I think now we're going down the fertility clinic route that I'm a bit less stressed, like I'm starting to accept that we're going to need medical intervention and it's taken a bit of the pressure off. I've joined the gym and am working on my weight so hopefully I'll be in a better position by the time we start treatment...it can only help right?
