Today I'm 35 - the day we're all told our fertility falls off a cliff! Won't make much difference to me seeing as mine seems to be in bits already! Haha.

Why do you think they said that at 35 fertility falls if that was the case then why were women getting pregnant? And why are women at 45 getting pregnant I got married 2 years ago I never actually gave an toss until recently I realised it’s so flipin hard to get pregnant then all of an sudden my pains started I pushed my husband away for intercourse I’m trying everything so some how we can try again and not be guilty for not having intercourse with him

@Franklydear how are you getting on? Anything concrete so far (other than boobs ha!)

I've been keeping busy. Need to block this lot and add buttons to the cardigan. Maybe a hat and booties and this set is done! I think time to focus on something for me next. I already have way too many baby things for an imaginary baby...

My chart is back to insisting I ovulated 16 days ago. Just kinda hoping for a reset at this point, and that it'll be clearer with the new thermometer all the way through.

@Dawnbird just enjoying my limbo and planned free 🍆, boobs still as big but a bit less sore, pulling cramps too, and still bloated, I decided to not test until next potential date for cycle, dh decided he wants to keep trying until September, it’s the 3rd time he keeps postponing the deadline whenever it comes, so I’ll treat the next af as a reset, it might be ntnp as nothing is happening naturally anyway, save myself the stress

Finally got scan appointment through to check for pcos, 28th March.
CD48 atm, waited 7 months for AF last time so not expecting her anytime soon.
Got myself a higher dosage of inositol to start in about a week when my current ones run out.

Hoping that scan results and possible treatment will line up with when we start ttc again.

Happy birthday @Somatronic🥳🥳 hope you did something lovely. Or at the very least, did not do housework. Yeah the cliff edge at 35 is a big ol lie so don’t worry about that. You’re on the right train anyway. Speaking of which, when are you calling the clinic?

@Franklydear sounds like dh keeps moving the goalposts. How is that for you?

@pennysays a head fuck to be honest, every time I make my peace with this is it, it’s not, and just a few more months, the thing is I don’t want to have hormonal contraception again, and we decided the snip was best, after 23 years we don’t count on divorces and starting new families, not that anybody does, so I need him to get a move on, his argument in what’s the hurry if nothing is happening any way, we are just not closing the door completely yet, but will soon, and we can relax and see if anything happens, much harder for me when expecting af really, specially with months like this with only a bit of intermittent spotting that leave me wondering

@Franklydear with you on the head fuck (I know, I know, I'm supposed to be gone but can't help lurking a bit) went to the pharmacist last week to pick up my regular prescription (not sure if it's the same everywhere but they keep them on file for repeats) anyway asked for my repeat prescription and when she gave me my tablets she says that's the last refill of the letrozole 😲 I was so confused I just took them and said ok. I've had my 3 months of letrozole that was prescribed so it must be an admin error! So here I am first cycle of not ttc after all the emotion that went into that decision and I've got another round of letrozole taunting me! Would have been too late to take them this cycle anyway but what now? Seems serendipitous! Head fuck! I was actually feeling sort of zen about it all.

@pennysays Thank you! I had a lovely birthday - I went out for lunch with my friends because I didn't get to see any of my friends from home at Christmas due to catching the plague. I live in Dublin but my home place is in another part of the country so it was nice to be back there for a few days.

I started Norethisterone today and I'm already confused. Within one paragraph on my protocol it tells me to take it for 8 days and then for no less than 10 days so I have no idea what I'm meant to do. I have a phone consultation on Friday so it'll be cleared up then so it's not a big deal, but I just feel a bit nervous because I don't know what I'm doing.

I mentioned all the meds I'll have to take to my mother at the weekend and she said that it's madness and I should cancel the whole thing. So helpful!

Sorry about the headfucks/uncertainties going on, hard decisions 😭

All good here. I’m 12dpo. I tested at 10dpo after saying I wouldn’t test early and got a BFN 🙄. Not testing again unless AF is late - my luteal phase is usually 13/14 days so I’ll know soon. Still trying to strike a balance - on the one hand I wish I could just wait for AF because BFNs are evil and make my heart sad even though I’m v early days. On the other hand getting a BFN in early seems to help me adjust my expectations lol, I seem to get this massive wave of confidence around 7dpo that I’m definitely pregnant. My temps for this month have been all over the place - up and down throughout my luteal phase (still above coverline but just lots of shifts) but that’s probably because I’ve had a cold since I got back from visiting coparent and can’t seem to shift it. Attached my charts for any chart perverts lol

Oh I don't know @Franklydear, I really wasn't expecting that plot twist! OH thinks we should leave it,for a while at least. He said I've been happy since we decided to stop and to be fair he's right, it did feel like a weight off. Think I'll just throw them in a drawer for a couple of months anyway. Sorry you are in limbo again.

@Manifestingbaby yeah, I have to say I feel like you’ve made the decision and you shouldn’t let a random prescription throw you off. But listen to your instincts.

@lakejupiter the “wave of confidence” made me lol. I feel you! Although I don’t get it every cycle.
But then by 10dpo my confidence is gone again because I don’t have exploding boobs and that’s the tell-tale sign I’m waiting for. (Yes I know all pregnancies aren’t the same but it keeps me sane and prevents me from symptom spotting).

Day 38 here. Barely been testing this cycle - we’ve agreed to skip this cycle But we will continue with testing. Although this requires dp to get the SA done. How’s that going your end @lakejupiter?

Just had lunch with a friend who told me she is trying to conceive #3. Couldn’t get out of there quick enough. I’m feeling ok about stuff when on my own but when faced with pictures of friends new borns or pregnancy announcements it reduces me to a teary rage.

Thank you @pennysays just the same though, I am starting to wonder what the big boobs are about if not pregnant, also have funny pulling cramps, and sometimes heartburn.... , @larrythelizard I managed to chase them up two months late, all good not menopause, the irregular periods one of those things, not much help offered, you know the script, already a child nearly a teenager, at this age, blah blah blah, of course doctor was a man and I can’t get hold of my lovely lady doctor

Dh is loving the limbo, no further decisions being made, I’d love a baby but I am not counting on it, at this point I don’t even know but alas nature is deciding for me

@pennysays it's so hard when people close to you seem to get effortlessly pregnant, don't blame you for getting out of there as fast as you could!

Waah, so busy at work the past two days. 8DPO with the changed date, and my chart hasn't dipped below the coverline in that time so that's a good sign it's accurate. Still getting EW/Watery CM the past couple of days though, so I don't know. CD39, ugh.

Spoilt myself with a new knitting bag and needle case this week, it's gorgeous, super shiny.

@Dawnbird I decided to make myself a needles bag, of course I don’t need a pattern, version 3.2 is looking good though

@Franklydear can I borrow some of your husband's eagerness. It sounds like he has some to spare? DP is on board, but mostly his fear sits out front and is what he focusses on. "Can we afford this?" "We should really own a house first" (we're working on that bit, but housing is NUTS here, though it looks like the market is finally starting to turn) "Isn't life too busy/stressful already?", "Will I be a bad parent?" (he's a GREAT step-dad) The pessimism drives me a little loopy sometimes.

@Dawnbird I could do with a bit of stepping back, sometimes he’s too overbearing, remember the last time when he took over my test, he just needed me for the wee part! He made me test this morning, who knows why, negative of course, but keep dreaming it was positive until i realised we were still in bed repeatedly

Yeah, I'd be worried if this wasn't his usual modus operandi for pretty much... everything major. Stress and focus on the negatives. Argh!

I've just bought myself several nice sets of my favourite bras, because they were on a great sale and had my size in matching sets. They're all underwire, so Murphy, this would be a great time to show up and do your thing. I'll take getting knocked up, or weight loss so I can't wear these lovely new things. Thanks.
