Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

I've been in my mother in law's house for an hour and I'm ready to murder her. She spent a half an hour badmouthing her nieces who had a fight at our wedding, saying it's the worst thing ever to do that at someone else's wedding. This is the woman who wasn't coming to our wedding until 24 hours before the event because she was upset that she couldn't control what time her other son left the house to come to the wedding? Madness.

Anyway I am now listening to her talking about how IVF is weird and a waste of money and she wouldn't do it. And adoption is icky too and she wouldn't do that either. She is saying thing purely to hurt my feelings.

That's the fucking end of dry January anyway 😤

@Somatronic God, what a cow! We actually told no one at all about having IVF. Then you don't get people giving their opinions. I don't know why they always see it as their place to? Arguing at someone else's wedding isn't really good though, I'll agree with that. 🤣

@polkadotpixie sorry about the bfn. It s so grim. We are with you. But you can also go and hide. My mum keeps mentioning the baby stuff in the loft, even though she knows we TTC. It’s like yeah… I KNOW IM NOT PREGNANT YET.

Im one fap-in-a-cup away from a referral to fertility clinic for clomid. I’ll keep you posted. Can anyone tell me their partners experience of the sperm analysis on the NHS? I mean, what happens? Apart from the fapping? And the cup.

@Somatronic great news, there is a spare place at the Convention for People Who Need TO STFU, and your MIL is invited. The car will arrive for her in 20 mins and then she’ll be chauffeur driven to the space station and launched into permanent orbit around one of Uranus’ lesser moons.

@paintfairy well I couldn't believe my husband was stupid enough to tell her anything. That's the last thing she'll be told. He convinces himself that she's just a bit clumsy, when I know that she's a vindictive bitch. The story about the wedding was funny because this was the first I heard of the fight between her nieces, whereas her own efforts to ruin our wedding caused significant stress to us in the run up.

@Somatronic God men are naive. 🙄 I hate it when people (some women actually do it to) just don't see what's in front of them. I can straight away tell if someone is being mean and there are so many (usually women) that do it in a sly way. But to me it's obvious? The first time you can maybe brush it off as accidental, if its constant then erm, nope! 🤬

@pennysays now that covid restrictions have lessened the flapping takes place at the clinic. It's better though due to how quickly the sample has to get to the lab.

@pennysays as @Juno231 says it'll be done at the clinic/hospital now, though ours always was even during covid. In a sterile room with no internet 😂😂he might need to take some ahem stimulation material

@paintfairy definitely wish my brothers "bit of fluff" as I still refer to her after 3 years had a skill in avoiding pregnancy. Thank god my brother hasn't got her pregnant yet!

@pennysays literally never heard of fap or fapping 😂 I must have been living under a rock 😂 my DH did it at home, then I had a mad drive to the clinic about 40 mins away to make sure it was still ok to test (I took it as it was in the city I commute to) strapped it in the passenger seat with the heated seat on 🙈 that was a private clinic though that was doing us some fertility/MC investigations so I'm sure they all have their own guidance on where to fap

It's going not that well! I got my hopes up yesterday (10dpo) as had what I thought was a vvvvvvvvf BFP. Got a similar super squinter this morning at 11dpo. But I think they are just indent lines as have no colour whatsoever and are super faint. And I tried a couple of easy@home sticks and they were stark white. Rite of passage I guess but I was sad to see what I thought was an early positive yesterday. My temps haven't dropped yet but don't feel too hopeful.

I did however get a letter from my local hospital's endocrine dept yesterday with info about the blood tests I'll need, fasting etc so that's exciting and maybe means I'm not as far down the waiting list as I thought!
