Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

Busy is better @pennysays always better to be distracted. I tried to ignore (note:tried) anything before 10dpo. Easier for me with a luteal phase of 8-9 days though!

I heard back from the IVF clinic. Basically they forgot about me. I guess I can assume it'll be a later start than we expected.

When do IVF cycles start? Is it a case of day 1 of the cycle you start your jabs? I'm doing a short protocol. I'm trying to figure out when I might be starting.

@Franklydear that sounds so exciting having somewhere to sell your makes! Also, you're amazing, I think it's awesome you're pushing to get the help and support you need. Companies can be so quick to let everything slide if you're not there pushing them

@Minster2012 thanks! I feel a bit silly no getting so upset with it all as we at least have 4 which is still a good chance at least one will make it until tomorrow! I'm super impressed you managed to get your dog to wee in a pot, that's some skill right there 😄

@BellatrixK it's a bit of a horrible system in a way as we literally won't find out until tomorrow morning if any of the embryos have made it. I understand why, as they could tell us things are fine on day 3 but then none continue to grow, but it feels like a hundred years of waiting 😂

@Somatronic I can't believe they forgot about you?! Ok so for me, my periods are super irregular so we had to work out a start date for Norethisterone first, then when that was finished I had to call the clinic of CD1 to tell them AF had arrived and then the first injection started CD2 - at my clinic though they give you a treatment protocol which tells you what happens when. It's a bit iffy on how long it will all take though as it depends on how you respond to the drugs

@paintfairy @Minster2012 you've both got such good memories! Scan today was an absolute rollercoaster. There was some fluid around my organs so it was a bit hit or miss as to whether the transfer would be going ahead buuuuut...it is!! Tomorrow afternoon there'll be an embryo on board, as long as at least one of our 4 has made it 🤞🤞🤞

@Somatronic literally depends what they decide to do with you. Sometimes on short protocol they still give you drugs beforehand and so you start tablets the cycle before. If you are just a really simple short protocol with none of that then you would just call up on day 1 of AF to tell them. They then tell you when to start drugs and what day to come in for your first scan. But prior to that you would have already had your AFC scan, SA, protocol drawn up and signed off, drugs purchased etc. So you were ready to go and just waiting for AF to kick it all off.

Got a static smiley this evening, w00t. It was still flashy this morning but had a v dark (almost positive) OPK at lunch so decided to test again after a four hour hold just now as my peak can be quite fast. Won't be inseminating until tomorrow eve but hopefully either the weekend sperm or the new sperm will catch the egg! No ovulation pain this month but lots of EWCM so hopefully will see a temp rise tomorrow or Thu.

Ladies, I need advice and because my husband doesn't want anyone to know about this I can't ask any friends or family. This is definitely the wrong place for this but I can't deal with the general mumsnet population right now so pls forgive.

He has a job interview on Thursday, from home. He has decided that he won't get the job so he's not too nervous about the interview, though he really wants the job. He previously decided that he wouldn't get called for interview and he did so I think he probably is in with a chance.

My concern is that he wants to do the interview from our bedroom! The only room in the house that we haven't done up 🤦🏼‍♀️ We renovated most of the house but not that room. It has 1980s wallpaper, a bed, his desk, shitty curtains and bad lighting. It's where he usually works because it's the quietest room in the house and there are loud and annoying dogs next door. So instead of asking the neighbours to take the dogs out or shut them up for an hour, he wants to do the interview from the bedroom! He won't let me tell neighbours to shut the dogs up either.

I said it to him and he said they won't reject him for the job because of the room (I know they won't do that consciously but he has to make a good impression!) and that I'm stressing him out.

He has to pan the camera around the room during the interview to show that he doesn't have help and that he isn't using notes so they'll see the whole set up.

I'm right aren't I? Help me deal with STUBBORN husband who is incapable of accepting support or advice. Ffs!

I see loads of people working in their bedrooms @Somatronic - the only one I judged was the one who had shoes everywhere and hadn't made his bed properly. So I don't think that's the deal breaker you're worried it is. Has he got any noise cancelling headphones? That might drown out the dogs? Realistically he needs to do the interview where he's most comfortable so he performs the best he can. How random he has to show them round the room! I've done quite a few online interviews and no requests like that!

@Somatronic I am with you, you would want to show the best environment surely, but listened to people who actually work from their bedrooms instead like @larrythelizard

@Somatronic I’ve just completed 3 different rounds of interviews as an interviewer and I didn’t give a toss about this background. I was really really listening to what they were saying because that is the only thing I can score them on. It will be fine, concentrate your energy on making his feel calm rather than stressing about your bedroom curtains

Also @Somatronic this is the kind of sisterly help we do here, I think my ttc chat must be around 30% of the bullshit I talk, safest space ever here

@Franklydear I put an ice cream tub in the dishwasher last night especially for Friday 💦🪣🐶it was a classy one too (maybe I should use the cheap soft scoop one so they don't charge as much?!)
