Soooo....@Minster2012 is letting the lunatics take over the asylum as she's handing over the driving seat to the passengers and having a well deserved rest after driving us around since June 2020!

I'm sure she'll still be around and you can follow her on Instagram (Minstermusings) where a lot of passengers and ex-passengers have their own TTC or normal accounts too (just be careful not to out anyone on their non-TTC accounts!)

We have a fabulous history of BFPs on this thread since @Minster2012 took over and we need to keep it up...no slacking!

Anything goes and NOTHING is TMI on this bus! Whether you're doing it the old fashioned way or with some help from science, we're all waiting for those 2 pink lines and are here to support each other and try to stay (somewhat) sane along the way

@Somatronic tough! She'll have to lump it. You won't be there if you have a baby? I also hate to tell you that I actually felt far worse from week 5 to 10 of being pregnant than through my ivf. And I wasn't even sick. 🤣 But there's nothing they can do about it if you need to ring in sick.

dmb91 · 02/02/2022 11:26

Morning all, will catch up later but just need to shout from the rooftops..
CD2 OVER HERE!! 🥳🥳

pennysays · 02/02/2022 11:36

@Somatronic if you can - without being specific - be clear about the time you will need off. Your doc can write you a note, but let them know you have health appointments to attend and you'll let her know when they are. If you're too sick to go into work - then use they'll have to lump it.

@Bundaberg84 and @BellatrixK 3DPO and I haven't POAS yet! pats self heartily on the back. How you guys doing. This cycle is wiping me out. I'm exhausted.

Bundaberg84 · 02/02/2022 12:06

@pennysays hahaha congratulations! Flowers

I think I'm 7dpo now, according to my apps. Breasts hurt as usal by now, really tired (as usual, no matter where I am in the cycle Wink), some slight cramps now and then, but I think that's also not out of the ordinary. Also haven't POAS yet, and I really don't want to before AF is due.

InkyPaper · 02/02/2022 12:12

@Minster2012 @Franklydear @Somatronic thanks lovelies! Scan went well, they're 99% sure I'll be taking the trigger-not-trigger shot tonight. Depending on how many eggs they get on Friday, I'll either be given the proper trigger then or not if a fresh transfer is denied. It's looking at this point like I won't be allowed a fresh transfer but they can't say for certain until collection has happened.

@Somatronic like @paintfairy says it varies quite a lot depending on what your protocol is and how you respond. I've got PCOS and have been responding a lot and slowly so I've been having scans and blood tests every other day since CD8 I think it was. These took at least a couple of hours each time including travel time and waiting around, so it's not a small amount of time to be out of work. My manager is brilliant and has been super supportive the whole time (I've been open from the start about what's going on), so it's not been too much of an issue with me having so much time out.

@Bundaberg84 you sound like a great manager ❤️

Somatronic · 02/02/2022 12:15

Thanks for the advice all! When I started counselling this issue turned out to be a big one for me - my mother refused to allow me to be sick as a child (my brother was 'the sick one') so I have issues accepting that I'm allowed be sick and take time off. My boss being the way she is doesn't help.

I think I'm 11DPO but I know that testing is futile so I'll try and wait for AF this weekend rather than put myself through the torture of testing.

paintfairy · 02/02/2022 12:15

@InkyPaper exciting times! Fingers crossed for later. What sizes are they today?

InkyPaper · 02/02/2022 12:45

@paintfairy I've got 9 that are 17+, 9 that are 14-16, and about 12 more that are small still, so there's still a teeny weeny chance I could have a fresh transfer but we shall see!

paintfairy · 02/02/2022 13:40

@InkyPaper 🤞

Somatronic · 02/02/2022 13:41

Great news @InkyPaper! How exciting! And thanks for the advice. I need to get out of the headspace of my infertility being an annoyance for her rather than it being a major issue for me, if that makes sense.

lakejupiter · 02/02/2022 13:47

Sorry to hear about the demanding bosses/difficult workplaces over here. Until last year I was working in a stressful workaholic/overworking environment and expected to be on email 24/7, stay up all night to meet deadlines etc. I took a year out and am self employed this year and it's done wonders for my mental and physical health but only possible because I had some savings. I go back this summer (hopefully will then take maternity at some point) and dreading it already!

lakejupiter · 02/02/2022 13:49

PS - CD10 here and got a flashing smiley this morning so my fertile window is starting early I guess? Apps say my fertile window is CD 13-18 and I should ovulate on CD18 but I'm thinking it might be coming sooner this month. Inseminations planned for CD14, CD15 and CD17.....

BellatrixK · 02/02/2022 14:38

@InkyPaper Whooooop! I’m so excited for you! how are you feeling?

@lakejupiter exciting times ahead for you this week as well. Does the early fertile week fit in with insemination plans?

@Somatronic I totally agree with the others. I used to be really career focused, but I’ve the last free years, I’ve really taken a step back in terms of how much time I will sacrifice for work. I’m very much of the mindset that @Franklydear mentioned: myself and my loved ones first.

@pennysays I am not loving this TWW. I had an awful headache last night, just feel really in the ‘why hasn’t it happened yet?’ defeatist mindset. I think I need to give my head a wobble! I’m about 4dpo, so waiting until next Thursday ish to test. I’m trying anyway!

paintfairy · 02/02/2022 15:13

@InkyPaper wow. Well at least you should get a fair few mature eggs. But I don't envy you. Definitely take it easy after collection (drink plenty!). Good luck. 🍀

InkyPaper · 02/02/2022 15:33

@Somatronic oh definitely, this is your time and your work will just have to deal. (easier said than done, I know)

@BellatrixK thank you! I'm really excited but also super nervous 🙈

@paintfairy yeah, I'm imagining the aftermath with not be fun - if you have any other tips for recovery afterwards, send 'em my way!

LoveQ · 02/02/2022 15:43

Hi all

CD 1 for me and first month doing bbt, I don't seem to have the drop in temperature yet though.
Good news is though it was a 26 day cycle so increased by one day, I've been taking vitamins to increase my luteal phase.

@lakejupiter does your fertile window mean you'll still fit in insemination days?

@InkyPaper thats great news for you, fingers crossed for Friday 😄

pennysays · 02/02/2022 15:51

@lakejupiter I had sometimes up to 5 days or more of flashy smilies so it doesn’t always mean that ovulation is imminent. Don’t forget once the stick becomes flashing, it won’t ever return to blank even if your lh levels drops. Are you using cheapies as well? You can see LH levels fluctuate more clearly on those.

pennysays · 02/02/2022 15:52

@BellatrixK be strong. What will you distract yourself with?

lakejupiter · 02/02/2022 15:56

Yeah same sometimes re: flashing window but according to apps I'm two days away from even the start of my fertile window so it does indicate my oestrogen is rising earlier than normal. OPKs are medium (0.45 on Premom). Last two months I only got one day of flashing before static (and matching peak OPK) but have had months of a few days of flashing too - just never a week before predicted ovulation. Should be fine for the weekend inseminations either way though unless I get a peak tomorrow.

lakejupiter · 02/02/2022 16:02

I think so @LoveQ @BellatrixK - we have scheduled inseminations for sat, sun and wed. The weekend was supposed to be the start of my fertile window (and usually that's when I'd get a flashing smiley) and Thu was my predicted O day. If I ovulate earlier we should be fine for the weekend inseminations but maybe not for the Wed one. This month I was aiming to hit the start and end of the fertile window - last month we did three days in a row but I ovulated late so I felt like I wanted to spread them out more this month to catch the egg! TTC is a masterclass in acceptance and flexibility though, worst comes to worst I'll make my coparent jump on a train earlier!

Franklydear · 02/02/2022 16:53

@BellatrixK cd 17 so about that I think, only dtd twice and early with all the being ill so, not hopeful, by ewcm I expect affront the 12th, ad by cycle average, ha!, the 14th...
@lakejupiter sounds like a good plan
I only slept two hours on daytime today🙌🏽👏🏻

Franklydear · 02/02/2022 16:54

Affront? I guess af is an affront

lakejupiter · 02/02/2022 17:21

Just been offered a pelvic ultrasound as part of PCOS diagnosis (chuffed as Terrible GP told me they would probably say no to an ultrasound since my bloods were pretty conclusive). They have me booked in for 24th Feb which is predicted to be CD1 of next cycle/14DPO. Do I want to go for a scan on that day? They may have to do it transvaginally (I have a tilted uterus) and it might be first day of AF. Or I might be waiting for AF and wondering if I'm pregnant. But they don't have any appointments after that for a couple of weeks so not sure if I should just go for it since I was so surprised to be offered one.

Minster2012 · 02/02/2022 17:25

So looking like EC on Friday then @InkyPaper how exciting!! Did they say how many follicles are looking likely? Don't forget @clolo had a frozen transfer and it worked so if it's best for not to have to fresh then it's all good. Ahhh you just said jumpers that's so promising 😊

@Somatronic yeah that's hard. How much do you think she'd notice of you weren't online? Like the others have said there are quite of lot of the scans before the EC & like @InkyPaper has found it can mean more scans depending on what they've found. I work with DH & WFH on my own schedule so it's not an issue for me but after EC I was also dog sitting that week & I was bruised but ok enough to sit fine & walk 3 strong dogs the day after.
What's your companies covid policy? Could you fake a positive PCR test? For over then scans week? Then actually say you felt really bad with it? You do need to not worry about taking time off sick they'll survive 😘

@lakejupiter ahhhh it's such a head fuck isn't it!! Least you know it's coming but def keep an eye on both

Minster2012 · 02/02/2022 17:26

Oh and that's great @dmb91!
