I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Thanks for setting up! I'm still waiting for AF (due tomorrow) but if not then that'll push my next 2ww into Feb. That will be cycle #6 ttc #1 for us.

Hey can I join? Fertile week is Jan but period due in Feb. I am on cycle 14/15 TTC number 1...I have to say I have sort of given up hope it will happen naturally now tbh :-( Regular cycles and first investigations found nothing wrong though so I suppose you never know!

I’m having the weirdest cycle. Usually I have 25 day cycles like clockwork. I am now on CD31 but I did have a MC and covid last month. I usually have breast pain, spotting and cramps before AF but I’ve had no breast pain, no spotting and the cramping has stopped. I’m 12DPO and negatives on FRER’s. I just want AF to start so I can move on. I’ve never experienced this before!

@tryingforbabyh and @FlyOnTheWall89 a friend of mine took 13 cycles to get pregnant. They were about to go for tests and got their BFP. With their second, they caught on the first month!

Thanks @Curlywurly3 but my temp dropped this morning and can feel AF on her way ☹ ah well. Each month is one closer right? 🤞 for Feb now!

I’m 12DPO as well and have the same symptoms of breast pain and spotting before AF is due and had nothing this month. Also negative on FRER, so hard! 😩

Morning everyone! Cd1 today of cycle 2 ttc #1

I had spotting the last two days which I had convinced myself was IB as I never get spotting before AF, but here we are with AF in full force 😂

I just posted in the January thread and realised my AF would be due in February, so here I am :)
Bit backstory maybe; started TTC last January, had a chemical in February and a BFP in June that resulted in an ectopic and the loss of my right tube. TTC again in September, but nothing so far. I decided to stop with my cb fertility monitor and just track a bit with an app, as my cycles are quite regular and the monitor got me invested too much. Also stopped acupuncture and everything else related to fertility.

@tryingforbabyh and @FlyOnTheWall89 one of my best friends tried for almost two years without any hint of a line, and suddenly there was the BFP, she has a healthy baby girl now! Don't give up hope (but I totally understand your feelings).

@Gelpennen my cycles were weirdly short the last two times, even though I'd rather them coming too early than too late and giving me false hope, but still deflated.

@jadew88 same! I never spotted my entire life, but randomly started the cycle before the last, and was convinced that must be implantation bleeding. Well, no. ;)

Hi everyone. I’m popping over from the January thread and marking my place. Got all my usual AF symptoms and it’s early yet but had a BFN yesterday, I’m certain it’s not my month :( so this will be cycle 5 TTC#2.

Hello all, can I join? Day 7 of cycle 8 ttc #1. Cycles and luteal phase are slowly getting longer since coming off the pill last year and I’m hoping that’s a good thing? I was worried both were a bit short to start with, especially when spotting a couple of days before. Seem to get more obsessed with tracking with each cycle, so thinking I may make this the last one of OPKs etc if no luck again… (am probably kidding myself that I can do that 😂) am wondering about a day 21 progesterone test privately though first to reassure myself, has anyone else had one? Fingers crossed for a lucky month all round 🍀

@dory0 I'm stopping with OPK's this cycle. I've done them for the last 5 months (tracked for 2 months before actively TTC) and I'm pretty regular and I think they make me too obsessed. I'm just going to DTD regularly and go with the flow.
Well apart from I've just ordered a conception cup and changed my prenatals from just folic acid to a combined pill. Oh and I'm going to try seed cycling to try and balance my hormones. But no testing this cycle, just wait around for AF and see if that helps! Xx

@dory0, I have had a progesterone test before I conceived my first - mine was actually cd18 but it was wayyyy over the threshold for ovulation so that's all I needed to give me peace of mind. I also had a shorter luteal phase and was beginning to panic!

@Natalie2304 yes that’s what I was thinking too, let me know how you get on with no opks, also interested to hear re the conception cup!
@Shortmamashortcycles thanks yes I think the peace of mind would help.. how did you determine which cycle day to have your test? They say 7 days before next period but OPKs indicate I ovulate day 15 so should that be taken into account?

@dory0, to be honest, it was whenever the GP could fit me in! Ideally 5-7 days post ovulation, but I think mine was more like 4...

Just waiting for CD1 due any day now. My app says tomorrow but have had some cramps this morning so I think today. We will be starting cycle 1 and I'm excited. I am going to buy some ovulation sticks they are due to come sat. Been off my pill a long time now so got my fingers crossed 🤞🤞

Right, CD1 today. Month 4 TTC #2. Previous cycle a bit all over the place due to covid and MC so I’m ready for this new cycle. My cycles are 25 days so hopefully AF won’t arrive on 8th Feb. I’ve added dates below If anyone wants to share their test dates:

Hi everyone, Mumsnet newbie here.. longtime stalker! TTC #1, last night I got all the signs AF would be arriving today or tomorrow so am just waiting to see which day will be CD1, Feb will be my 11th cycle, we're both 32. I've been feeling a bit down about the whole thing for a few months now and I don't have any girl friends to talk to so bottle a lot up.. hoping I can find some reassurance here 😌. Fingers crossed for you all xx

Hi @ShinyEyes33 and welcome to the thread. So sorry you’re feeling down. I went to see my friend today and her 3 day old baby. I’m so happy for them but it’s so hard when it’s what you want more than anything. Another friend had nothing for 14 months and then went on to have a baby boy. 2nd baby they caught on the first month. TTC is just so random!
Now I know I wasn’t successful last month, I’m ready to go again this month. I am going to use CB OPK’s but I won’t temp as I did that once and it was all consuming.
Do you use OPK’s?

@Curlywurly3 wow 3 days old, how sweet! We visited a friend in June (ish) and their new baby boy, this was shortly after we'd started TTC. I thought at the time, that it wouldn't be long and we'd be expecting.. how wrong was I 😄
It is random and so frustrating! Just got to dust ourselves off and try again haven't we! 💪💪
I am using OPKs, found that I usually OV around day 15/16, however my cycles are usually between 24 and 26 days so my LP is on the shorter side, although I understand that is still considered ok. I also temp, have been since the beginning (except for a couple of months when I ditched it and OPKs, but that just made me worry more) and I always get a clear temp shift a couple of days after my LH peak, so I'm confident I am ovulating.
Wondering whether to speak with the Drs about tests, the thought of something being wrong puts me off though 😖
