Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d start a new thread for February following the January one.

About to start month 4 of TTC after a MC last month.

The months seem so long with a TWW thrown in but then I also can’t believe I’m about to start cycle 4! (I know that isn’t a long time for some of us and that makes me feel sad, TTC is so unfair at times)

Anyway, feel free to join if you’d like to get through February together! X

@arianasky it's so weird how different our cycles are looking when we're due to test the same day.
I had a peak of 1.06 on premom yesterday but static smiley on clearblue Friday. Will try to catch my OH tonight just incase there's a slim chance for another opportunity then the long wait begins 😔

@Brunette1989 I know it's so strange? I think I'll ovulate tomorrow or Thursday going off symptoms but who knows? Im hoping I do ovulate at least after last months loss I'm definitely overthinking things 😂 yeah you just aswell BD again it can't hurt 🤞🏻

Interesting.... I might ditch the sticks all together this month. Hmmmm.

TBF same for me with my first - no tracking as was away on holiday. But we did have sex a fair bit. Not every single day though.

I usually ovulate on CD12 but last month was CD17 (covid and MC month) I’ll use the sticks this month to see if my cycle has gone back to normal but I’m definitely going to chill out about all this (she says!)

AF arrived today at 14dpo 😭. So cd1 for me today.

I'm planning on trying in Feb. I have a DS who is 2.5. I fell pregnant with him first try so I'm hoping it is the same for me this time. You just never know with TTC do you! It'll be lovely to be part of this with other people.

Hi everyone, another one here back from the previous thread month 3 ttc here . I decided to celebrate the arrival of my AF on Sunday with a masssssive argument with my OH. Have to say I feel sooo much better now haha (although maybe he doesn’t lol)

@Curlywurly3 i really think it happens when not trying also. Thats what worked for me the first two times. Now i feel like I know it won’t happen like this but at the same time can’t stop this obsession. I want to stop OPKs as I feel like as sperm survive a few days and also the egg is released within a time frame, that testing is just as good as just having sex in the FW every other day like the “purple method”.
Another thing I have noticed is that sex when i wasn’t TTC was better so i feel as though he ejaculated higher up and my orgasm after his maybe helped the sperm up. Sorry TMI but I have actually read about this and tbh the sex whilst TTC has been awful. My OH has never had problems but it has stressed him to the point he has struggled to finish off. Even though we would do it often before anyway when we were using protection but the TTC has really made things a struggle. So next week I have taken the week off work to see if that helps too and I will take a more chilled approach. I will only DTD when he feels like it but not just for the sake of TTC.

Urgh no! Have just realised that my dad and his partner are coming to stay next weekend.... which is right bang on my most fertile days if my app is correct! So will have to force myself to be relaxed this month and hope for the best with a bit of BD before and a bit after the weekend. Humph!

Think I'm out this month.... Still a bit tender after my surgery so just not in the mood for BD at all. Think I'll be in my most fertile days in the next few days but we haven't DTD this year yet!!! 😭

Totally know what you mean @RosyappleA. TTC sex is so ‘forced’ - we’re so knackered at the moment though, that’s all we have in us just now but at least my DH now seems to totally get it (a few months ago he’d say he wants another dc but then moan when it was dtd time).. I too read that a female orgasm is meant to help the sperm along so that’s a good point. 🤞🏻 for you that relaxing and having time off work helps things xx

@Purple29 sorry to hear that, don’t force yourself. Although you never know, you might be in the mood in a few days. You’re certainly famous on MN for the purple method so defo helping some others on the journey 😃 xx

Ergh still no ovulation this morning clear circle on CB and faint line on opk 🙄 I'm honestly worrying I won't ovulate this month 😞

@RosyappleA I think there’s definitely something in just just going with the flow and DTD every other day in the FW. I am going to do OPK’s as O was almost a week later last month and it will make me feel better knowing I definitely hit my FW.

@mightbeyesmightbeno can’t you just be really quiet?! 🤫 Sneak upstairs in the afternoon?! ☺️

@Purple29 you’ve certainly been through a lot. If you make the decision to have a month off and focus on next month it might make you feel better/more in control? If you do end up DTD even once, well that’s just a bonus. Also, out of interest, if I O on CD13 what would the method be?

@arianasky what CD are you on? My O was late last month after a loss

Just to add, I don’t know if the OPK’s will even work this cycle with how much water I am now drinking!!! It’s a catch 22, you want to drink lots of water but you also don’t want to dilute your tests! 🙈

@Curlywurly3 same as me with the water I started a health kick last week and I'm having at least 3L a day 😂 I'm only CD14 but I've always ovulated CD13 I'm guessing I'll be a bit later this month I was just in my own head this morning.

I'm going to be abroad for just under 2 weeks so at least I'll be occupied whilst waiting but travel, malaria tablets, etc could easily affect my chances. Plus I've only DTD once during my FW as I ovulated a day earlier than expected so not holding my breath lol

@Curlywurly3 if its day 13 then the way the dr told me, you want to DTD on day 6, 10, 12 and 14.

@Curlywurly3 thanks. I know your right it has been a whirlwind of a few weeks. My head is still trying to work through everything that's happened. Maybe we will this month, maybe we won't im just rolling with it this time!!

I feel like we're going to miss the fertility week again as we have a friend staying with us for two more weeks. The two bedrooms are next to each other, and you can hear almost everything (very old building), so no way we're going to get busy when he's here. Ah well.

@Purple29 so CD6 is today, I thought there is no way that’s going to happen as DH is in bed feeling quite poorly after his booster yesterday. I’m working downstairs so went up to take him a cup of tea and he pulled me in for a cuddle.. CD6 ✅☺️

I'm CD11 and we haven't yet (thats if the bleed after the ectopic was a period) so yeah im guessing I'm out this month. That's OK tho. So glad I have this group to chat too!!!
