Hi all, I have figured out how to create a thread on Mumsnet and here goes... my first one.

This is a continuation of the two (!) full Jan threads so far this month - we're a chatty bunch and happy to welcome new folks. There'll probably be a February thread starting up soon too.

@Shortmamashortcycles I have no idea what’s happening. I’m 11dpo yet AF seems to have arrived? There was a speck of spotting last night, a bit this morning and then it seemed AF just began this afternoon. No pain though just light cramps. I am absolutely baffled. How could it have arrived at 11dpo? This has never happened to me before. I had ovulation cramps as usual and AF always arrives 14 days after... except this time apparently not.

It sucks. Now on top of my husbands low motility I seemingly have to worry about my cycles screwing up. Maybe because I’m 35 now? :(

@TheBirdintheCave, how frustrating, I'm so sorry! If it helps, I have 10/11 day luteal phase and I've been pregnant a couple of times, so it's not a total disaster... might just be a weird cycle. Sorry love, it's so annoying when there's one more thing to add to the worry list...

@rmummyofone, congratulations! Hooray! What a great belated birthday present. 🤞 for a happy and healthy 9 months.

@TheBirdintheCave it’s probably just a one off. The follicular dates can be affected by stress, sickness etc. the luteal barely moves by 1 day. Maybe chalk this one up as a weirdo cycle and know we’ve got everything crossed for you next time x

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've not been the best at chatting on here. Today is 10dpo and on my 3rd wee of the morning I got this...I'm in shock! The line is pink in reality.

This was 6th cycle but we were a bit more focussed on timings and tried a few tips and tricks and I'm keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻

Bit of a roller coaster couple of days! What i thought was my AF only lasted a couple of hours. I took a test today just to see and it was a BFP!!!

Im wondering why it was negative on Sunday considering my AF was due on Saturday. Could the bleeding have been implantation? I don't remember it being so complicated with DD!

I'm confused / happy / worried!!!

@Nikkic2123 yes I could well have done. I was only tracking using the Flo app so don't know for sure!

Is your test line faint? How many DPO would you think you are if the spotting was implantation?

@Nikkic2123 it was Clear Blue one with Weeks indicator (1 - 2 weeks) Flo suggested ovulation was 14 Dec but not sure how to work it out from actual implantation (if it was that, it was just a small amount of brownish blood). I'm a bit clueless on working dates out!

It anyone is interested in a few things we did differently this month;

We tried to stick to the SMEP as much as possible (BD Cd 10, 12) I had a positive OPK on CD 13 but as this day hasn't worked for us before (and we've not BD on ovulation day before) we BD cd14 in the morning and cd15 afternoon and then decided to stop. One thing I tried differently this month was (sorry if TMI) using a vibrator after sex (external only) to orgasm as I'd read that works for some people 🥲

Symptom wise I had no symptoms into 7dpo when I had cramps and wet CM. On 8dpo I had my last wee before bed and thought I noticed pink CM but it could easily have been missed if I wasn't studying it. Yesterday I tried a test in the afternoon and it was BFN. I had some yellow CM followed by lots of clear watery gel like CM. This seems to be daily at the moment.

This morning I had some cramps and heartburn so I took a test and sure enough BFP. I know everyone's symptoms are different but I'm convinced I know when I implanted based on the symptoms I've had.

I don't want to get my hopes up yet as it is really early days but I am just delighted to have a line and some symptoms to work with.
