Hi all, I have figured out how to create a thread on Mumsnet and here goes... my first one.

This is a continuation of the two (!) full Jan threads so far this month - we're a chatty bunch and happy to welcome new folks. There'll probably be a February thread starting up soon too.

I have just woke from a nap (shattered) don't normally nap but couldn't keep my eyes open realises I had been to the loo since about 12.30 this afternoon so thought I would do another test just a cheap one to put my mind at ease to think I would see one line

I had this with my DS. Kind of like fizzing very low down in my pelvis?

I totally caved and got a stark white bfn at 10dpo and have period pain style cramps so pretty certain I'm out Will probably test every day til af shows up like a mad thing just in case though

@TrulyMiss that's how I feel! But I'm only 6dpo

Relatable @Shortmamashortcycles - that was me yesterday 😭 so happy to have this space to confess in though - would be to ashamed to admit to anyone IRL that I tested so early 😂

My boring 8dpo update: had a massive BBT drop this morning (like a whole degree) and this evening have stabby AF pain. A bit concerned that AF is coming early but also realising that I have zero idea what my body "normally" does in my luteal phase because I've never paid this much attention! Hoping I survive my next TWW with a bit more dignity.

@lakejupiter and anyone that does BBT, it seems like so much effort to me? Though with a toddler, I get woken up through the night sporradically/just am not a great sleeper, so I doubt it's accuracy for me/my ability to remember to do it. I'm going to add that to the list of cervical positioning checking of things I tried once and did not succeed at lol. Good luck for this cycle, nice to see the temp drop I am sure, love a good chart!

Tiny bit of dark spotting today, pretty sure that means af will be coming for me soon

I've only just started @madeleine85 but it's very useful so far though I'm still getting the hang of remembering to do it every day. I'm not in a relationship so have to be quite precise about ovulation and seems like a useful tool for that, if a bit annoying to have to remember and then enter the info whilst still half asleep 😴

@lakejupiter thank you :) and yes, the temping while half asleep was strange the one time I tried. I understand why they all have 3 hour memory options. I had promised my OH I wouldn't be obsessive, and yet was sitting temping in the bathroom connected to our bedroom at 6am getting annoyed he would hear the beep it was making. Ultimately it didn't work for me, but so many people use it and see great results.

@kizzy97 sorry to hear you think AF is coming, I was really hoping for you this cycle! I hate that AF and pregnancy symptoms are so similar, it is just the pits. Enjoy a wee glass of wine and relax a bit, at least next cycle is a fresh one, and there is valentines day :)

I got so fed up I spoke to the Gp on the phone today who was so lovely and am heading in tomorrow for a blood test to check hcg. Apparently she thinks it wise to take more blood and check folic acid and b12. Lovely afternoon planned😬

AF for me so over to the February thread! I knew she was coming so don’t feel too sad and hoping success for us without our bfps yet next month

I'm shaking I actually am in shock. Not getting my hopes up just yet it's still early days.

Natural cycles says I am 10dpo but Flo says 11dpo

Had a bit of spotting past two days but none this morning which made me test and my temp has gone way up.

Fingers crossed it sticks 🤞🏼✨

Done another one same brand and it's the same.
Going to go and get some more today for tomorrow - we're so excited but trying to stay calm as it is very early.
