Hi all, I have figured out how to create a thread on Mumsnet and here goes... my first one.

This is a continuation of the two (!) full Jan threads so far this month - we're a chatty bunch and happy to welcome new folks. There'll probably be a February thread starting up soon too.

@AmberRH1993 I really hope you get your BFP this month!!! I've also noticed the increase in CM lotion like type. I've had to keep a liner on.
To be honest it is too soon to see any symptoms anyway but it's a good job you're taking the tests if that makes you feel at ease lovie x
I think frers can tell you by 10dpo onwards too! So I've been eyeing those in my Amazon cart haha

Still no af, feeling off (emotionally) and just don't know what to expect. Don't know whether to keep hoping for my BFP or brace myself fo af

Yeah so here's a little insight to my journey

I have a 3 year old little girl fell with her naturally after being told I have pcos and would need Ivf

I have been "trying" for the past year but never really put my heart and soul into it invade it just never happens.

I do have 33/35 day cycles and I am on day 33 2 days ago I woke up and my boobs were so sore to touch and nipples were even worse I never get this before af is due. I woke this morning and just thought I would do a test and got this I don't know what to think it came up within the 5 minutes time frame. Unsure what to think

@Gemma3439, I think that looks like a positive, hun, congrats! Do you want to get a Digital test for more certainty?

I have a early detection for tomorrow morning going to try not to test again but it's really hard :(

@Gemma3439, it's tough but you won't get a clear answer if you test too soon (as my madness this morning proves).

Early night, warm bath and make like Xmas Eve - the sooner you go to sleep, the sooner tomorrow morning and FMU will be here! 🤣

@Gemma3439, hahahaha no stark negative even though I was feeling nauseous and had convinced myself I was pregnant. Admittedly I'm max 9DPO so no idea what came over me. TWW insanity. No more tests in the house, so I'm safe for a couple of days now.

Congrats on all the BFPs! ✨

I kept quiet until my FW cause I had nothing to add really. It was suppose to begin yesterday with ovulation predicted for Saturday by FF. To my surprise, LH started to rise today and I’m pretty sure It’s going to peek this evening or overnight.

We DTD yesterday, thinking no rush we can have 2-3 days break before catching the peak fertility window but it turns out it’s already happening! We were so knackered last night and, in all honesty, I couldn’t be bothered to DTD but we managed somehow.. well it was less than passionate and we both struggled to finish😬

I did not expect to see LH peak today, was thinking more like Thursday… The only way we could DTD tonight is by forcing ourselves again, I don’t know if I’ve got it in me but then if I ovulate tomorrow that might be our last chance this cycle .. not sure what to do??

@Shortmamashortcycles it is so hard... once you start testing early it is a horribly hard habit to break! 9 DPO is very early though. At least you will know in the coming few days.

@Mummytobe93 don't drive yourself crazy with the DTD. It is a nice feeling to cover all the bases, but i've heard that DTD every day can cause immature swimmers (though not sure how true that is). Also don't discount the day after ovulation, as actual ovulation can take 24-48 hours. For my BFP cycle we DTD 3 times total. The first was 3-4 days out, first time using a fertility cup/menstrual cup and I really ballsed it up and to be frank there is no way that it worked that time. 99% of it was on my hands/the toilet. We DTD again 1 day pre ovulation, but we had a massive heart to heart about doing it, and I am 95% sure that he faked it, it felt totally dry after. I never questioned it as it felt too rude, and I appreciate that he even tried, but we were both emotional and exhausted so I wouldn't be surprised. The only other time that cycle we DTD was 1 day post ovulation, which i threw in as a hail mary, and this is the one that I think really worked for us. I'd recommend the preseed + menstrual cup method though too. Good luck for this cycle love x

@Mummytobe93, did you guys finish last night? If so, give yourselves the night off!

Two scenarios:

1. You ovulate tonight - in which case his swimmers from yesterday are perfectly placed
2. You ovulate tomorrow / later - in which case you've had a night off and can go again tomorrow and maybe later as planned.

Once is more than enough - there's millions of swimmers in each load (sorry). And if this isn't your month then trust me, getting so that both of you dread having sex isn't going to help you next month!

@madeleine85,thanks hun - I have NEVER tested before 11DPO before so I'm putting it down to temporary insanity.

I must have been dreaming I was pregnant because I woke up and was utterly convinced it would be positive. Yeesh my brain!

Just used OPKs this month. I've been using them for a few months now (not ttc)
But this was my first month ttc. Dtd twice day after peak snd the day after that so hoping that it'll be enough!

Fell pregnant without trying with DC1 who just turned 2 on Saturday. Realllllly hope it's a BFP this month 🥺

@Shortmamashortcycles at least it is only 2 days away to 11DPO. Will be here before you know it! You definitely have a strong case of TTC brain :)

I'm doing well, symptoms are much less this pregnancy, it just feels totally different to my first in all kinds of different ways. Just really tired, and time seems to be standing still. I don't think the wait is as bad as the 2WW, but it's comparable. 2 more weeks until my next scan... I hate the lack of control over this, but seeing everyone else on this journey is bringing me a lot of distraction (thank you) and joy!

@madeleine85, I remember that from my last pregnancy - you get your BFP and then suddenly the TWW seems like nothing compared to the yawning chasm to 8 weeks booking appt or early scan. And then another 4 weeks to the 12 week scan.

Glad you're not feeling too bad, but yeah the first trimester exhaustion is something else. Sending growy vibes to your placenta so it can take the strain!

Glad my ridiculous behaviour is a good distraction! 🙈🤣🙈🤣

I'm super crampy with lots of watery CM with occasional spots of blood so may not even make it to 11DPO, I think AF is on her final approach. Have learned my lesson for next time though!
