Hi all, I have figured out how to create a thread on Mumsnet and here goes... my first one.

This is a continuation of the two (!) full Jan threads so far this month - we're a chatty bunch and happy to welcome new folks. There'll probably be a February thread starting up soon too.

Well bought some OPKs and FRER for next cycle. Will still do a test with FMU tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I'm just having a late one this month. Hoping it'll be sods law that I'll have ordered these and then I get a BFP tomorrow if not then they'll be here for the next cycle so either way....

@kizzy97, I did exactly the same thing the other day - reordered a load of supplements while secretly hoping I'll never need them!

@Billymay, oh love. I'm sorry I missed this earlier. I'm so sorry about your mum, and about the way the timing has worked with your BFP but also your family getting covid. You must be feeling a real mix of emotions... you're allowed to feel however you feel.

I love Cariad Lloyd's Griefcast podcast and one thing that comes across is that everyone grieves differently and in their own time, and that grief isn't linear - it comes in waves. Sending you a virtual hug this evening.

Checking in… I didn’t test today, I actually had a lovely day not thinking about testing 🤣 until now …

So I’m 12DPO - after my BFN at 10 and 11DPO I decided it probably isn’t my month.
I’m 3 days away from period, no symptoms now other than the odd spot and usual pre period cramps.
It’s fine, it sucks, but it’s fine 🤕 I avoided a lunch with friends 3 of whom are pregnant and one just popped. And it was just a tad too close to another no month. But I know I can’t think like that forever!

There’s still hope, but it seems I’ll catch a few of those who have migrated to the Feb month 🤍

I’m out this month and with AF coming today it gave me only a 27 day cycle. Not sure what’s going on.
Just ordered some ovulation tests so this month I can make sure I know when I’m ovulation.

Good news is, I no longer have gastro. Bad news, I think im out. 11dpo and had a big bbt drop today, which is typical of my normal cycles, it'll drop until AF comes on 19th/20th.
I also had a dream last night that I was waiting for my period to see if I was pregnant (like now), and not telling my partner just yet and he said "I'm glad you're not pregnant" 😬
Oh well. Obviously wasn't meant to happen.

Has anyone ever experienced a trace of spotting, mild cramps and a thick blob of clear mucus before AF is due? I want to chalk it up to PMS until AF is a week late but my anxiety is through the roof. I really don't want to test until AF is late. AF is due 17/18 .. I want to wait until 22 Jan.. it's just been a really long time coming and this one just feels different.
I haven't had much cervical mucus until this glob and after it passed, it was back to whitish-clear small jellies

I almost feel like I'm jinxing it by saying anything

@miamom, I've also had cramps and trace spotting well before AF is due - weird mucus blobs not so much. This is an entirely unhelpful post, but once it was a BFP, but before then I had very similar months and it was just a slow run-up to AF. Realllly hoping for the former for you!

Well tested this morning FMU and BFN...so now the question is where the hell is my AF!!?

@kizzy97 Did you definitely ovulate? I once had an anovulatory cycle and didn't get my period for sixty days. I basically just skipped a month but I wasn't pregnant.

Morning everyone :D 4po today. I was wondering if anyone else has had some slight cramps at 3 and 4dpo? I know it's nothing to do with pregnancy as its too early for anything to have implanted yet, I'm more concerned that I've now missed ovulation :/ However, I had my regular ovulation pains at the usual time combined with the egg white cm which changed back to creamy the following day as usual.

If not ovulation and it can't be implantation, what could this be? I am puzzled.

@kizzy97 sorry to hear it's another BFN for you. Sorry it's frustrating and you can't move on to the next cycle until AF comes. A BFN for me this morning too. Not a great start!

@miamom yes, unfortunately I have the same or similar since three cycles. I'm off the pill since years, and my AF symtoms are always the same, and arrive on time like clockwork. And since the last three cycles I started spotting and having lots of mucus, but that doesn't mean it's the same for you! I really hope you'll get your BFP!

Congrats to all the BFPs!! Looks like AF has come for me, so fingers crossed for next time...

@TheBirdintheCave I'm pretty certain I did as I had my typical signs and symptoms, I've got slight cramping and back pain as I'm typing as well! Did you get symptoms of any kind with an anovulatory cycle?

@kizzy97 Yeah I had a lot of dizziness and nausea around the time my period was originally due but that went away after a week and then I just felt normal.

What tests are you using? I waited til a week after my period was due and then when FRER tests were still negative I booked a blood test to double check. When that came back negative too the doctor told me it was probably an anovulatory cycle and just to wait another month and see if it came back as normal, which it did.

@TheBirdintheCave how annoying! Especially when a late period is one of the main signs you want as well! I used one of them Freedom pregnancy tests from Asda at 13DPO, a Clearblue early detection Saturday but with both of these it wasn't FMU and then another Clearblue early detection this morning with FMU. I've got FRERs and a Premom kit thing that comes with OPKs and pregnancy tests on the way for next cycle as I'm not feeling confident despite some people not getting their BFPs till a week later xx

@kizzy97 so weird! If it’s not your month I hope you can get AF and move on, the uncertainty is the worst. Did you have your booster by any chance? Anecdotally I know ladies who have had a bit longer cycles after

I’m testing tomorrow but my bbt has dipped a little this morning, annoyingly not far enough to say I’m definitely out like it normally does the day before I’m due but enough for me to suspect that’s the case!

So my opks are getting more positive. I'm 12dpo. So I tested with a home bargains cheapie. One minute I can see a vvvv faint line the next I can't. So who knows. I have FRERS arriving today so I'll do one with fmu tomorrow tomorrow. Maybe my body is buggered and im ovulating em twice this month 🙈😂

@kizzy97 how annoying for you! How many days late are you now? I'm still keeping everything crossed. Have you been particularly stressed this month? X

@oldermam you get LH surges before period I think - don't pay any attention to OPKs as they aren't a detector of anything at this point in your cycle!
