Hi all, I have figured out how to create a thread on Mumsnet and here goes... my first one.

This is a continuation of the two (!) full Jan threads so far this month - we're a chatty bunch and happy to welcome new folks. There'll probably be a February thread starting up soon too.

@Moonshine160 I’m 10dpo too. I’m thinking of doing one Sunday but if hen like you if it’s not pregnant it will be such a waste. Xx

Hey ladies.

Needed to take a step back. With so much going on. It's FIL's funeral on Tuesday. According to my opks, I ovulated in CD8/9/10 this month so AF is sue wed, right in time for my 40th birthday! Fun fun! We have a hotel booked for the night of my birthday and a family meal the day after.

I don't know when to test, I'm tempted to test Tuesday before the funeral. And hope by some miracle it's positive and I can give OH /something to me happy about, he's under so much pressure and stress atm trying to sort his dads financial affairs out.

So I'm 9dpo extremely tired. But other than that no other symptoms, I've also had a uti in the last week. I'm prone to them and get them regularly. I don't have much hope for this month, although we dtd daily around the time!

Hey I’m 8dpo and had very bad cramps today and little yesterday. I’m so stupid to even have thought of doing a test and ofcourse it’s negative. I feel so stupid guys what did I even expect lol. I’m not gna do one until Wednesday now I hope

@oldermam sending all the love your way. I am so sorry your FIL passed and you have a funeral on top of everything else you had to go through last month. I really hope you can enjoy your birthday treat and focus on yourself/healing xxx

@Mummy202102 sorry, that is just the worst feeling (been there, done that, felt equally rotten i'm sure). Better to wait it out till at least 10dpo. If you think you had implantation cramping just know that it is usually 3-5 days for HCG to get a positive test, so hopefully that will help you hold off a wee bit on testing x

@madeleine85 thank you! I know the most horrible feeling. Yeah that will definitely help me wait to test in a few days. How many dpo are you?

Been lurking a couple of days, trying to get the hang of TTC and ovulation tests!! You all seem so clued up, I wonder if you would be so kind to help me please.
I am regular (tend to be anything 29-32 days) I last had AF 24th Dec.

I started taking OPKS, I clocked you recommend the PreMom app so downloaded it and wondered if anybody could help when I would of ovulated? It's absolutely blew my mind! Do you ovulate at peak or after peak!?

Cd20. Then ovulation 24 - 36 hours after us how I've always gone by! We usually dtd daily in my fertile window on the premom app. And for a few days after ovulation just in case!

Upon my mad googling to understand my cycle, I would've thought that (I had cramps/the side pain which is usual around ovulation for me on the evening of CD20) but I didn't know if the sudden drop to 0 on CD21 meant that I'd ovulated on CD20, the egg had been and gone!

DTD this morning in a last minute bid to try and catch it, who knows though, fingers crossed!

PreMom is saying I'm 1DPO, ovulation yesterday, so the TWW commences! Xx

@Mummy202102 I'm just lurking on this thread still... mainly to see how it works out for everyone that I've been TTC with for the last few months. I got my BFP right before xmas but joined the Jan thread a very long time ago when we barely DTD due to a vomiting bug and I assumed very early on that I was out. It has been so lovely to see so many people getting positive results here, and it has been a welcome distraction from the will this/won't this stay in wait :) wishing you the very best for this cycle!

Soo I'm having a chemical pregnancy. Loss of symptoms even cramping, line has disappeared today feel like crap🥲🥲 mentally not physically.. just waiting for AF now.

I'm 7 DPO, so know it's too early to know anything yet - but I'm suddenly soooo exhausted and sense of smell has gone very sensitive. The smell of my DPs beer almost sent me over the edge

13dpo? But I should have started AF by now..26 day cycle. Those are really positive signs! 🤞 for you xx

Well the witch showed up after all. I'm out. will rejoin the saga next month. Big hugs to all the ladies awaiting their BFP!

BFN for me this morning and slight spotting (only on wiping / not enough to go on a panty liner). 4 days early for me and I'm usually sooo regular. So hoping this is implantation spotting and nothing more 🤞🤞

@jazmine38 I'm so sorry 😞 same thing happened to me this month and I bled two days after the negative test and loss of symptoms, I hope you're ok?

I removed the thread from my watch list somehow so I was thinking it was weird that I wasn't getting any notifications!
Just going to catch up now...

Quick update on me : period due on the 13th jan. Been spotting since the 8th of jan, small amounts when wiping, one larger amount of red blood on the 10th when wiping but brown since and hardly anything sometimes. I usually start my period when my app says so I'm a bit miffed!
I have done pregnancy tests from Sunday onwards (as you do!) and they've all been negative. I did get some Firsr Response tests from Amazon with some not great reviews so I wasn't sure about them.

Anyway, I did a quick cheap test just now and checked within the time frame. I just want to check if this is an evap line / even if there is a line/ chemical? Anyone got an idea where my period is?!

Still some spotting when wiping. I just want my period to start now.
