First timers, TTC. Safe space for brain dumps...

Hi everyone!

This thread may or may not contain questions, I've mainly started it to be my brain dump safe space but in an excited way, not a bad way...

Me (30) and my SO (34) have decided to take the leap and start TTC! We have both wanted children for a while but just knew the timing wasn't right for either of us until now. For me, any time I see a baby or even baby clothes recently my heart aches for it to be my turn. I've never really had that strong feeling before.

The reason behind this 'safe space' is that we have agreed not to tell anyone we are TTC. We just want to avoid any pressure or disappointment if things don't go to plan, etc.

For context, I am the youngest of 5, the only girl the only one of my siblings without children.
SO is the oldest of 2, his brother has a child who lives with BM away from here so isn't really seen much by grandparents.

Both families are great and would only want the best for us but I personally don't want to feel any sort or pressure at all (intended or not) from either side.

So, we start our journey, we are on cycle 1 SWI, not expecting anything to happen this cycle and trying not to turn in to a crazy lady about TTC

I'm due AF on Wednesday, going to test on Monday. Really hoping we have been lucky this month

No idea what's going on but had awful lower back pain most of today. I don't think I've pulled anything as it started part way through the day in the middle of teaching dance classes. Also been feeling a bit nauseous today and have unusual acne around my jaw line but not on my face.

Boobs have also started feeling a bit tender today but that's kind of normal for me at this point in my cycle.

This could all be PMS and coincidence but fingers crossed and wishing on every star that it's not.

Currently 6/7dpo so way too early to test. Depending on how I feel the next few days, I might look to test around Thursday, which will be 11dpo.

Looking for advice...I'm now cd15 and still not got a peak from premom, in fact it has constantly looked the same. Clearblue is still showing as 'high'. I did have flu at the start of the month so don't know if that's thrown something off?? last month I used clearblue only and had peak on cd15. Now I'm just anxious there's a problem. This is probably all heightened because I'm an IVF baby myself, but then my younger brother was conceived naturally...basically I'm just confused and worried! Anyone ever had issues with premom not showing ovulation? I have always had really regular periods too, so would expect that I must ovulate...

@thecoconutcat I am exactly the same - CD18
today and no peak with the easy@home OPKs and premom. Next month I am going to try the BBTs too for more accuracy. I'm feeling really lost and confused too 😕 I'm hoping we've had our ovulation but the strips have missed it 🤷🏽‍♀️🤞🏼 xx

Hi girls, I'm having the same problem! I've had 2 days of not fertile and 4 days of flashing faces on the cb opks. I have ran out of them now. Last month I had 2 days of flashing and then peak and that's about normal for me. I've had 6 days of ewcm and severe ovulation pains on Friday. I always get a peak on the last day of ovulation pains and now have slightly tender boobs which I get after ovulation too. Don't know what's going on

This mornings is the bottom one and it looks lighter than the others to me

@thecoconutcat my peak was cd17 this month. I have used the easy@home ones with Premom since Jan and found that my cycles did start to get longer by a few days. How often do you test and when in the day?

Happy to share my last few months of charts/tests if you or @Glawen want to see them for comparison

I've had my levels rise and drop slightly before peak before.

@TinyDancer91 I've been testing every day first thing in the morning. I know afternoon is recommend but I am always really well hydrated so probably not most accurate!

@thecoconutcat I usually test in the morning too, then when I think my fertile window is due (about a week before predicted ovulation) I start testing twice a day to make sure I don't miss my peak

Hey guys, how are you all doing?

so, I thought I’d catch you all up. Yesterday morning I was 12dpo and I took a test. It had a super faint second line. My partner saw it too. I was so excited to get pregnant our second cycle of trying. Only, I started spotting quite heavily, then it went red, and by the evening it was a steady flow. I tested this morning and negative. So I think it’s safe to say I’ve had a chemical pregnancy.

i am absolutely devastated.

Negative opk today so think that confirms I missed my peak

CD16 and clearblue is showing my peak today. I've not even tried with easy@home for comparison...

I think I've missed mine too. I had plans on the weekend so missed a day and a half of testing. Then I've done one again today and it's a faint/low reading. Hoping we've caught it somehow though 🤞🏼 but can't help but be doubtful!
