First timers, TTC. Safe space for brain dumps...

Hi everyone!

This thread may or may not contain questions, I've mainly started it to be my brain dump safe space but in an excited way, not a bad way...

Me (30) and my SO (34) have decided to take the leap and start TTC! We have both wanted children for a while but just knew the timing wasn't right for either of us until now. For me, any time I see a baby or even baby clothes recently my heart aches for it to be my turn. I've never really had that strong feeling before.

The reason behind this 'safe space' is that we have agreed not to tell anyone we are TTC. We just want to avoid any pressure or disappointment if things don't go to plan, etc.

For context, I am the youngest of 5, the only girl the only one of my siblings without children.
SO is the oldest of 2, his brother has a child who lives with BM away from here so isn't really seen much by grandparents.

Both families are great and would only want the best for us but I personally don't want to feel any sort or pressure at all (intended or not) from either side.

So, we start our journey, we are on cycle 1 SWI, not expecting anything to happen this cycle and trying not to turn in to a crazy lady about TTC

Hi all, I think I had a chemical pregnancy this month. I hadnt tested in a couple of days, today is 13dpo AF was due yesterday and these are the tests I just took. The lines are much lighter than the last time I took a test so im assuming chemical. I feel weirdly okay, I hadn't even told DH yet as it was so early. Disappointed but taking comfort that whatever we did this month worked, at least initially. Now waiting for AF to start again 🤞 I'll be back! 😂

@Bluets I'm C9 and still testing negative on the old OPKs, FW due to be next week so still feeling chilled like you at the mo 🤞🏻fingers crossed we can stay chill

@Mariabombia haha thank you! Only two cats but I feel like they're my children anyway they're a handful 😂 I'm only on cycle 2 now, 11/12 dpo today. I am just hoping when I test tomorrow that the line is still there! Still not 100% convinced due to such a faint line. Will find out tomorrow morning 😬

Yes I'm very shocked it happened so quickly tbh! Still very cautious but I actually don't have any tips! I think we must have got very lucky with the days we dtd as the timing was awful, my OH went onto nights just as I ovulated! We dtd in the morning and I went back to sleep for a bit straight away, thought more chances of helping the swimmers up there! Good luck for this cycle x

Guys, I got a BFP, but not the kind we want... I got it on a Covid test 😩😭

I have too much on this next few weeks with work to be out with Covid!!

NOT the BFP I wanted to see...

Thanks @Nyxxie - I don't really feel ill and only tested as we have to for an event we have this weekend! Typical that now I can't go....

@Zubi it's not over until AF arrives! Implantation can take 12 days so you never know!
@rcal1988 how exciting! What DPO are you? The wait is agonising isn't it 😂

@CrazyCatLady95 I’m 12dpo today. Going to wait until 14DPO…if I can 😂 is it best to take the test with FMU or can any time of the day be ok?

@rcal1988 it's best to use first urine of the day. I tested at 10/11 dpo on a frer and got a faint positive! You are strong waiting until 14dpo I'm not even at that yet 😂

@CrazyCatLady95 thanks so much I will make sure I test on Monday morning when I get up then. In a way I’m dreading it as I can’t bare the disappointment if it’s a BFN 😞 I’ve had some mild cramps and keep thinking when I go to the toilet AF will be here but nothing yet. Apart from that I don’t really have any other symptoms so I don’t feel too hopeful. Why is it this month I can’t remember if these cramps before AF normally happen for me?! 🤣

@CrazyCatLady95 haha I'll be holding onto this!! I would love AF to never arrive and get a BFP next week but I feel unlikely this month!

To be honest I've been having like a low level constant cramp for about a week now. Guess it's all the changes that are happening in there! But cramps don't necessarily mean AF. Mine started too early to be AF so that how I knew something was different!
That should be our new moto - it's not over until AF arrives (instead of it's not over until the fat lady sings 😂)

Hi all. Just checking in. I'm 5 or 6dpo. Yesterday I had a weird crampy feeling. Today no cramps but backache and veiny, sore boobs! So hard not to read into any of the signs and I have no idea whether I'd be feeling any of this stuff if I wasn't on my 2ww. Also I'm super tired but that could just be January vibes. Last night I was convinced I felt different, today I was convinced there's nothing going on down there. Trying to stay busy which is helping :)
