Joining in please. DS1 is 5 and a joy.

Started TTC #2 in December 2019. He was born at 21+4 November 2020, TFMR spina bifida. We have just lost DC3 on the 3rd December, a little girl, at 15+1 also due to tfmr spina bifida. In between losing my babies, I have had a chemical pregnancy and a MMC, discovered at 8w, medical management at 10w, baby never progressed past 6w.

To the ladies struggling with the should have been due dates, I completely understand. It's incredibly hard. I was desperate to be pregnant again before ds2s due date, I wasn't as it turned out, and it was OK. I shed a few tears but spent some time remembering him (he lived for an hour and a half) and we planted a little tree in a special plant pot dedicated to him. I didn't engage with due dates for DD1, but I think we'll probably do similar at what would have been her due week.

I'm getting very faint positives on a cheapie test, unsurprisingly given I've had some issues since she was born 10 days ago and I'm on quite strong antibiotics now. Just hoping to heal physically quickly. I don't think our hearts will ever heal properly.

Hi I'd like to join.

Had a chemical in March and a mmc in June. Just done 2 months of nk cells biopsy's so TTC again after AF this month. Really hoping next year will be our year!

It will be a year of TTC when February comes so hoping to get pregnant again before that!

Good luck everyone!

Hopingforarainbow27 · 13/12/2021 15:01

Welcome @chasingtherainbow1 sorry to hear of your losses. Next year is our year x

Forgot to add. We had our first due date go by on 25 November and we had a little cry but I tried to do things to distract myself. Such a heartbreaking time. Got my next due date coming up in January, kinda just want to get it over with x

chasingtherainbow1 · 13/12/2021 15:02

@Hopingforarainbow27 thanks, I really hope so!

Hello to all the new posters! Sorry to those that have been having difficulties and losses. It can be a really tough journey and it’s not fair.

@Hopingforarainbow27 yes I would be frustrated too if at CD36! Mine are usually 28-32 days long but when it gets past 30 days I get really annoyed. I wish there was a way we could bring on AF when needed.

@HeyFloof I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through, I can’t even imagine how tough that’s been. I have a 5 year old too, such a lovely age. Hope 2022 brings you more positive news.

@chasingtherainbow1 sorry to hear about your losses? Was the NK biopsies on the NHS? What does it involve?

I’m currently CD 27 and waiting impatiently for AF to arrive so I can begin our TTC journey!

Sorry about the double post! Not sure what happened. Can’t figure out how to delete.

chasingtherainbow1 · 13/12/2021 20:04

@Bringonbaby3 no the NK cells biopsy was through University Hospital of Warwickshire and Coventry. It cost £540 and you get consultations and 2 biopsy's. I felt like I wanted to rule something out before trying again and I know a few people who have had successful pregnancies after NK cells treatment. Although the biopsy's felt a bit like a D&C which wasn't nice but glad it's over and done now!

muddypuddlejumping · 14/12/2021 03:51

Hi can I join?
@Bringonbaby3 in an almost identical position. Also ttc baby 3 and held off to avoid summer born. Currently CD10 but have decided not to track ovulation on my first month but will do next month (if needed 😬🤞🏼) as we're a little restricted on chances this month anyway.

So sorry to hear of painful losses. Flowers

Bringonbaby3 · 14/12/2021 05:59

@muddypuddlejumping welcome! Great to hear someone else in the same situation. How old are yours? Mine are 3 and 5 and we were on the fence for a while about a 3rd and have now decided to go for it! Feeling nervous and excited.

@chasingtherainbow1 ouch yes that sounds painful! When do you get the results?

arianasky · 14/12/2021 09:01

If you are double jabbed are you having your booster? Mine is booked for 22nd but I'm half and half on what to do as it can mess up periods etc? I'm so torn I want it but I want to conceive more it's all so confusing! my body has been so much this year, what are your thoughts if you don't mind me asking?

Shortmamashortcycles · 14/12/2021 09:14

@arianasky, I had my booster last week. I totally understand what you mean about worrying about effects on your cycle but COVID would be so much worse!

My cycle was utterly unaffected by the first two jabs and seems to be pootling along without any fuss after the booster.

Did you notice any impact when you had your first two doses?

arianasky · 14/12/2021 09:36

@Shortmamashortcycles I was on the pill when I had my first two so had my normal bleeds as usual but obviously they aren't proper periods, I will get it for the sake of keeping me and my family safe but it's always that worry just got to hope it doesn't make a difference 🤞🏻 I think I'm just overthinking everything at the moment haha!

Shortmamashortcycles · 14/12/2021 09:48

@arianasky, oh honey, I do understand. Originally I planned my booster for after this month's expected ovulation date because I was getting so stressed about it, but in the event I had a CP and I think I'm only just ovulating now! (Which I guess is a plus point - doesn't seem to have affected it after all.)

It's really rough TTC in a pandemic, I completely appreciate that. Hopefully we're a nice unjudgey group here - we're all overthinky stressheads I reckon! 🤣

arianasky · 14/12/2021 09:58

@Shortmamashortcycles aww I'm sorry, we definitely all are 😂 but I guess overthinking is better than not thinking haha!

MummyMe87 · 14/12/2021 10:11

Hi ladies!!
I am 2 boys 3yr (almost 4) and 7yr, have started TTC #3 last month. Since having my youngest, I had a partially ruptured ectopic and lost my right tube, and will turn 35 in January so likely not going to be as easy this time.

Im on the vits - folic acid, vit d and vit b complex. I didn’t track this cycle, well used Ovia but didn’t do OPKs, but have a fairly good idea when I ovulated as I get pain and cramping.
So I’m about 10dpo today… period due Thursday/Friday. Im not going to test unless I’m late, doubt I’m pregnant anyhow as we only DTD once in fertile week due to various things. I also can’t be tempted to test as can’t go and buy any as isolating with covid.

I made fab friends on MN when I was tTC #2 and we are still good friends now, meet up when we can etc. Would be lovely to have that here

MummyMe87 · 14/12/2021 10:13

@arianasky on the booster thing, I had mine in September as I’m a midwife so got it early. I would strongly recommend having yours, covid in pregnancy can be horrendous. I didn’t find any issues with the booster on my cycles, generally seems to cause delayed ovulation

PoleFairy · 14/12/2021 10:34

Can I join? It's my 6th cycle TTC #1 since coming off the pill but first cycle we are going to actually try. Weve just been seeing what happens the first 5 cycles (although did always manage to dtd once or twice around the right time so I'm feeling a bit low with it all as I'll be 31 early in the new year). I'm due to ovulate on xmas day!

@MummyMe87 thank you, I'm going to have it I was just worrying a little thank you 😊

chasingtherainbow1 · 14/12/2021 13:45

@Bringonbaby3 should get the results in about 4 weeks.

Think my AF is on her way early after the biopsy which is good, means I'm closer to trying again next cycle! We're thinking of trying the SMEP method. Anyone tried this yet?
