Ttc #1 and cycle 1. Anyone else?

Hello

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5

@SMD16 I actually didn't notice any difference in CM around implantation time, pretty much dried up. Didn't get any implantation bleeding and I'm now 18/19DPO. I just have creamy CM now. Also I wouldn't pay attention to cervical position because mine hasn't changed at all! Just want to be at 12 weeks already so I can tell people! X

Bloody waited for my Opk test, left it to dry few hours to only find out the ink has leaked and made the test invalid , it looks darker but don’t trust it because of the leak😡😡.

Have any of you ladies heard of mucinex to help ? It came up on my tik tok earlier and the woman swears by it but no idea what it is🤨🤨 - pls don’t judge about tik tok hahaha, no videos posted I just like the dog ones 🤣🤣🤣

@CrazyCatLady95 I dried up from peak until this evening where I've had like creamy. Also wouldn't have a clue how to check cervix position 😂

Hi @Pops100 - I could be wrong but I think OPK tests are a bit like pregnancy tests in that you have to read the results within five minutes or so or they are invalid. I have left OPKs before and they look really different a few hours later. I usually just do one and leave it to develop and set a timer. Hope that helps though sorry you lost a result from today!

@Pops100 mine said to leave 5 minutes and any results after 10 mins would be invalid. It might be worth doing another, what tests have you got?

Mucinex is a cough medicine/expectorant - have used it a few times for asthma coughs/chest infections. Is it supposed to be good for CM? I can see how that would make sense....teenagers also sometimes use it to get high but I wouldn't know anything about that

@lakejupiter @Pickles91apparently it’s supposed to help the little swimmers get through clearly. I haven’t watched too many of them but there’s sooo many on tik tok explaining it all, worth a watch I think 🤔 but then someone also said it did nothing for them except bring on a snotty nose.

Just found this on google - "Mucinex is an expectorant that works by thinning the mucus that lines your lungs and throat and, in theory, it should help thin the cervical mucus to allow improved sperm transport to the upper female reproductive tract,"

@Pops100 I bought the Robittusin from boots to try, I was a bit later in my cycle though should have tried from CD1, I was about CD8 or something. Haven't tried it long enough to comment but I read on a blog it's meant to be good... a lot more appealing than grapefruit juice 🤢🤮🥴🤧😵

I've been finding grapefruit juice a right old treat! Have a little glass every morning to wash my supplements and Brazil nuts down with 💃

@Pops100 I'll let you know, I think it was like £5 from boots, it's not actually bad!
Grapefruit juice makes me think of what I think gin & tonic would taste of.. I don't drink the odd fruit cider once a year does me
It's meant to help with CM, same as the primrose oil worth a try I'd say! X

Oh let me know how these things go! I might start with the less hardcore grapefruit juice though. Do you drink it the whole cycle or just until ov?

OPKs are finally back down to my pre-peak/CD5 level

This is my most recent Opk and it's not really changed since finishing my AF.
