Hello Smile

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5 Confused

How are your new journeys going? Smile

And to you @RMS0209

Do you have anything nice planned for after your test? I'm going for a beach walk and a swim in the very cold sea with some friends on Saturday afternoon and feel like that will be really lovely whatever the result is and help ground me a bit.

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 11:14

@lakejupiter I can be exactly the same that's why I just stick to this one.

I might actually have to go into the office next week... booooo

@lakejupiter thank you 💖

that sounds like lovely plans, I have a birthday party on Saturday night just a casual one but will be nice to have something to do whatever way testing goes.

Pops100 · 20/01/2022 11:20

Morning all, @Newbiemg so happy for you getting your peak, there is hope ✨

I also got the Premom app and as you guys said it isn’t logging them as high which has stopped confusing me!

@SMD16 hiya!

I’m currently holding my wee for my Opk test to see if that helps !! 🤭

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 11:35

@Pops100 good luck testing Daffodil

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 11:40

@lakejupiter do you have cramps still? I have again this morning.. probably AF gearing up, strange only seem to get in the morning!

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 11:44

@RMS0209 I don't have cramps today but I did yesterday. V weird. But yesterday I was also having to pee every ten seconds and thought I was coming down with a UTI but today it seems to have gone away on its own so they could be related. I do have a kind of niggling pain lower abdomen on the left that doesn't feel like O pain or AF pain but also feels too far over to one side to be implantation or anything so not sure what's actually hurting, can't pinpoint it if that makes sense!

Pops100 · 20/01/2022 12:48

@RMS0209 thank you - still got 5 ish days till predicted ovulation but I have no idea when I’m actually due as I’ve not been off the pill for too long 😣

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 12:51

Is anyone else on this thread doing bbt? I'm really enjoying it so far though I'm fairly new to it. If this month is a BFN I think I might prioritise BBT next month as I was getting so stressed out by OPKs especially as I ovulated late.

Newbiemg · 20/01/2022 12:58

@lakejupiter I am doing BBT. I got a Femometer thermometer. I started on CD2 though as I missed CD1 and I haven’t been taking my temps at the same time everyday and I wake up quite a lot in the night for a wee and I’m a light sleeper so not sure how accurate I’ve been this time. I think if not successful this cycle I’ll try to be better at setting an alarm to take it and getting the same amount of sleep etc.

Sending all you ladies who are testing in the next few days lots and lots of baby dust 😊✨

@Newbiemg oh snap, bought a femometer and started this month. I only got serious about it around CD10 though and whilst I was away for inseminations I was so distracted by the process and by being away from home that I forgot to temp first thing. Got much better the last week or so at setting an alarm and doing it at the same time each morning and will try to continue that so it gets better data. Nice to have something to pore over during the 2ww and I find the femometer graph v satisfying! Hope you see a nice ovulation dip today/tomorrow!

Newbiemg · 20/01/2022 13:21

@lakejupiter it is very interesting and I like that it will give reassurance that I did actually ovulate after peak. I think I might start tracking it in Premom too so I can see the opks and bbt on the same graph. Atm I just have bbt in the Femometer app.

Out of interest are any of you hoping specifically for a boy or girl or don’t mind? I’m sure everyone really just wants a happy healthy baby but I know some people hope abit more for one Smile

This is a good question! I ALWAYS wanted a girl, but now I sway more towards a boy but as you say aslong as a healthy happy baby I'm happy 💖 what about you?
Newbiemg · 20/01/2022 13:32

@RMS0209 Id like more than one child so hopefully can have both eventually but I feel like I’d be a better boy mum lol and Ive always thought id like a boy first but now that I’m trying I don’t think I mind boy or girl. I have better girl name ideas though lol

But yeah aslong as they’re happy and healthy 😊

OP posts:
lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 13:41

I have always preferred the idea of a girl and whenever I imagine having a baby it's a girl, but tbh I also have a gut feeling if I got pregnant it would be a boy, if that makes sense? Like I just know I would probably have a boy. I can also see my coparent as a really good boy dad. I'm probably only going to have one child so whatever gender they are/decide to be they will be doted on lol

5manc · 20/01/2022 13:53

Hi everyone 👋 sorry not been around last few days and now can't remember who I've said welcome to! So hii anyone I haven't spoken to 😊

@Newbiemg ohhh good question. Girls clothes are cuter 😂 but either is fine by me! P.s welcome to the tww!

Is everyone finding out when they do get pregnant?! I couldn't cope with the not knowing for 9 months, I need to be prepared!

@lakejupiter @RMS0209 are we still testing in the morning? I'm so ready!! X

5manc · 20/01/2022 13:56

@lakejupiter @RMS0209 I've just read the thread again and noticed you both said Saturday so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you both 🤞 I'm 12dpo tomorrow so going to test then anyway!

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 13:58

@5manc yes @RMS0209 thinks Saturday, I think we might be a day behind you (I'm 10dpo but small chance I could be 9dpo - two apps telling me different things because I peaked late in the day)

Fingers crossed for tomorrow @5manc ✨✨✨✨✨ keep us posted

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 14:02

@5manc I'm just being daft I've seen a few people test on dpo13 and get a positive so I'm thinking the same
But we are the same! I'm dpo12 tomorrow too.
Sending you lots of baby dust and good luck so excited for you. How you feeling?? X

5manc · 20/01/2022 14:07

@RMS0209 @lakejupiter it is better to wait but after my potential false positive I need to know! 😂 I'm feeling ok - have been having back pain, stomach cramps and feeling nauseous which I'm hoping are signs but could be all in my head! How are you both? Everything crossed for positive news for us all 🤞✨

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 14:08

@5manc no you have the perfect excuse, I'd have been brain fried the last few days.
I keep getting little cramps on and off, who knows what it is!
All good here, hoping the rest of today goes fast and tomorrow so it's Saturday morning with some good news! X

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 14:27

Totally get that @5manc - must be so frustrating! I'm glad my silly 6/7dpo test was a very clear negative.

If I'm being completely honest I feel really weird and off which makes me hopeful. But it's my first cycle doing this so I'm also convinced I have manifested all these symptoms because I'm so fixated! My tummy just doesn't feel right at all - I'm bloated, having so many cramps and twinges, fatigue, constant peeing, huge veiny boobs etc (though I could have a UTI which might explain the peeing and cramps). So part of me thinks I should trust my body and be optimistic and part of me thinks it's a bit like that thing where you start feeling sick because you've convinced yourself the chicken was undercooked or whatever. But I never have any of these symptoms unless it's the day of AF or the day before so it's definitely brand new.

Off the work meetings and gym, hopefully that stops my musings!

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 14:29

Fingers crossed we all get BFPs but I'd love to continue the thread in Feb either way, so nice to have pals to talk to. I haven't even spoken to my coparent about how bonkers and obsessive I've been though I did speak to one IRL friend who gave birth last year because she already confessed she was all over mumsnet and symptom spotting so I knew she wouldn't judge.

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 14:57

I'd love to continue this one too, we can turn it from out TTC journey to our pregnancy journey 😍 Or we just create a new one which we can all join for the pregnancy side of the journey.
