Hello Smile

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5 Confused

How are your new journeys going? Smile

Seems to be how one of us feels today we all feel!

Tomorrow will be a good day ladies.. I feel it SmileX

Pickles91 · 19/01/2022 21:07

Sorry a few of you are feeling down. I’m with @RMS0209 - tomorrow will be a good day Flowers

Pops100 · 19/01/2022 21:22

Newbie on this site! So to summarize I came off the pill in December but have had my af, since then I have been tracking my ovulation. I’m due to ovulate in around 5/6 days according to my apps however my Opk results have not differed that much at all and have all stayed ‘high’. Is this normal?? Thinking my body is still messed up as seen other posts of opks being strong highs when at my point 😭😭

Newbiemg · 19/01/2022 21:31

@Pickles91@RMS0209 yes to a better day tomorrow Smile

Newbiemg · 19/01/2022 21:34

Hello and welcome @Pops100 what app are you using to log your opks?

I’m using too different apps. Premom have logged all my opks as low so far but Femometer logs all mine as high. I think Femometer will log most opks as high if there are two lines and mine always have two lines.

Also I’m currently on CD15 and still havent had a positive OPK yet and one of my apps said I would ovulate on CD13 and the other one said CD16 so according to both apps I should have had my peak by now. The apps aren’t always accurate so I wouldn’t worry if you still have 5/6 days until predicted ovulation just keep testing everyday. Good luck Smile

@Newbiemg thank you for the reply lovely! I am using Femometer and flo. Before af I had barley a line but now they are there with some color but no where near a peak, but not changing I was expecting them up fluctuate but seems to be staying the same, at least it’s not like before my af I guess. That’s interesting to know about Femometer logging them all as high though I’ll keep that in mind and stop trying to rush my body🤣

It’s good to hear you’re in the same boat & I’ll make sure I don’t stick to the apps and keep testing away if only it was simple hey🤣🤣

Pickles91 · 19/01/2022 22:30

Hi @Pops100! There is still lots of time for the OPKs to change and peak. I had a high reading around CD8/9, then it went back down, fluctuated a bit, and peaked on CD14. Using premom to track them btw! Interesting on femometer logging them as high. That sounds confusing!

So happy to have found so many people who are around the same point in TTC to figure this all out with!

lakejupiter · 19/01/2022 22:35

Hi @Pops100 and welcome!

If you're not due to ovulate for 5 or 6 days then there's plenty of time for levels to rise. This month mine were all fairly faint until the day of my peak (day 17 of my cycle) and went straight back to being quite faint again. Other months there's a darker line for a few days first. I learned to test around the same time each day (usually lunchtime and late aft/eve) and make sure not to pee for a few hours beforehand - at first I was going it in the morning and at random times of day with more diluted urine and wasn't getting clear results.

Pops100 · 19/01/2022 22:48

@Pickles91@lakejupiter hey hey!

Okay thank you so much you’ve both put my mind at rest, don’t know about you but I’m terrible for comparing myself to others and think well there Opk are high or nearly at peak why isn’t mine, when I need to remember everyone is different🤦🏻‍♀️ I drink quite a lot of water due to migraine issues but might try testing in the early eve and see if that makes a difference.

My partner is really poorly at the moment and I so desperately want to give him some good news but also trying not to stress about it at the same time haha 🤣

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 08:08

Morning all and welcome @Pops100 Smile

6 DPO for me today, got a full nights sleep last night for the first time in a while too so feeling very refreshed. I don't think this is going to be the successful cycle though. I guess now it's day 6 things might start happening.

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 08:25

How Is everybody this morning?
@SMD16 glad to hear you finally have had a full night sleep!

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 09:13

@RMS0209 thank you, it's was very much needed. Also, no vivid dreams last night woo.

I'm all good thank you, how are you?

Newbiemg · 20/01/2022 09:56

Morning!

@SMD16 glad you got a good nights sleep Smile

@RMS0209 I am good this morning. I got my peak!

Static smiley on clear blue finally with FMU and my line OPK with SMU is positive yay!

The test line isn’t darker than control line it might get darker later today but they are deffo both the same colour and both Premom and Femometer have logged it at peak Grin

CD16 today.

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 10:00

@SMD16 all good here! Trying to resist the urge to test and be upset and trying to keep busy

@Newbiemg oh yay! I am so chuffed for you wooo hoo, know what your job is tonight. What a relief!

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 10:01

@Newbiemg yayyyyyy!!!

Newbiemg · 20/01/2022 10:07

@SMD16 @RMS0209 can finally join you all in the dreaded tww soon 😬

But yes atleast now if not successful this cycle I won’t worry in other cycles as I know ovulation can just vary by a few days.

@RMS0209 how many dpo are you now? Are you trying to wait for the weekend?

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 10:09

@newbiemg @SMD16 yay the worst party to be in ha ha!
I'm 11DPO today, wanting to wait until Sat as I have seen a lot of positives result then.. silly I know but I just am trying to stay busy until then.
Think @5manc is around the same as me too x

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 10:35

@Newbiemg welcome to the TWW party. I agree with @RMS0209 it's the longest party too!

Newbiemg · 20/01/2022 10:47

@SMD16 @RMS0209 yes agree I was nervous waiting for peak but tww is 100 times worse and confession I’m probably still going to test on 30th/31st I want to be in the January club 😂

That will only be 9/10 dpo though so I’m being very optimistic 😬

I made ginger bread last night and I ate the whole thing lol It’s probably enough for a family of 4. Ginger is good for ttc but not sure it’s good in gingerbread form haha I need to find something to stay busy that is not eating lol

@RMS0209 @5manc so exciting!

CrazyCatLady95 · 20/01/2022 10:50

@RMS0209 I had a faint positive at 10/11 dpo. Make sure you use a frer though

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 10:53

@CrazyCatLady95 so you did! Sorry I totally forgot, yeah I have ordered FRER's so I have them Grin now to just have everything crossed 2 lines and I'll be chuffed xx

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 10:57

Hello all. Feeling a bit more chirpy today. Need to spend a bit less time on mumsnet and in google rabbit holes and a bit more time doing other stuff I think because I’m getting so obsessive. @RMS0209bim also holding out until Sat to test again with FRER ❤️ @Newbiemg so glad you finally got your peak!

RMS0209 · 20/01/2022 11:00

@lakejupiter so basically we need all these lovely ladies to have everything crossed for us for Sat
Sending you lots of baby dust Smile

SMD16 · 20/01/2022 11:06

@lakejupiter try and maybe stick to just one thread which is fairly positive? Rather than going through multiple and reading different things, I only really come on this thread now otherwise I was trawling through pages upon pages and getting low whilst obsessing over different things.

lakejupiter · 20/01/2022 11:09

Great minds think alike @SMD16 - gonna stop looking at other TTC threads and just do this one. I've got a really obsessive/addictive personality and can go a bit overboard with research and get over involved in stuff. This is a lovely thread and glad we are all on this journey together!
