Ttc #1 and cycle 1. Anyone else?

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5

Thank you all! I'm nervous! I've got some frers so will do one at some point - is it best first thing or after a 4 hour hold? I'm still learning!

Before I tested, I was about to send a message on here this morning to say this seems to be a lucky group as we've had 2 out of 2 bfps 😂 here's hoping I'm right! X

Just checking in. I'm 7dpo and since yesterday been feeling really down. I felt good for a few days after inseminations but now thinking about all of the reasons why it's going to be hard for me to get pregnant - my age, my coparent's age, PCOS etc. And I sort of know I'm probably not pregnant despite symptom spotting like mad. Since yesterday I've been feeling so tired and a bit blue - had a massive nap after work yesterday and this morning am struggling to stay awake despite getting 8 hours of sleep, doesn't help that I work from home and work for myself during the week so I'm my own boss 😂 usually I love my work but just cannot find any concentration or energy. Your BFP is giving me hope though @5manc ! Please keep us updated....

@5manc very chuffed for you! I think you'd be a 4 hour hold but @CrazyCatLady95 might know better than me 😃
without sounding like a perv... 😂 did you both DTD lots this month? I'm worried I didn't enough.

@SMD16 I technically start at 8:30 but realistically I start about 10:30 lol. I have lots of video meetings today and I forgot about one of them and had to join with wet hair lol

@5manc deffo a strong line! Amazing!

@5manc I've always read to do the tests with first urine of the day especially when testing early! This should have the most concentration of HCG in.
@RMS0209 I'm still quite surprised to be honest as this month the timing was awful! Just as I was ovulating my OH went onto night shifts. We dtd one day before I got my peak (so presuming 2 days before ov) and then thanks to the bank holiday Monday we managed to dtd twice the day after peak (presumed day of ov) and that was it. I could have sworn it wasn't enough but like everyone says it only takes one time, at the right time. I honestly think it's just all luck.
Really hoping this is a lucky thread and everyone gets a bfp!

@lakejupiter sorry you are feeling down today. Try to stay positive (easier said than done I know) you’re not out until AF arrives and it’s still early days in terms of ttc

We deffo have a lucky group here! Up to 12 months ttc is normal so positives in cycle 1 or 2 is very lucky.

I’m cycle 2 and last cycle I was disappointed when AF arrived but it hasn’t felt as long as I thought it would from AF to being able to try again now. I’m impatient about reaching my peak for sure lol but it’s also quite exciting doing it again.

@Newbiemg I found it disappointing last month when AF arrived also but it was the day I was going on holiday so at least I knew I could drink over Xmas etc. AF lasted around a week abs then before I knew it I had a positive opk so I think that time isn't too bad. However the TWW is torturous. In a way I wanted to test early because I would rather know than be sitting there wondering if that makes sense. I hate being in limbo. But I genuinely have no tips 😂 I've never done this before I just think I've been extremely lucky and I never thought it would happen this soon. I'm just terrified of MC now. Phoned the GP this morning and I have my first midwife appt on 14th Feb which will be 8 weeks. I'm struggling atm with who to tell. I had plans with my friend for her bday in a few weeks but I'm going to have to tell her as I'm not going to be able to drink. And she will be very suspicious if that's the case haha. And also debating whether to tell close family or not. 12 weeks seems like a very long time to wait to tell people. What do you guys think? What are you going to do when you get your BFPs?

@CrazyCatLady95 it is difficult to know who to tell because you don’t want to tell people too early but then like you said people notice when you stop drinking to cancel certain plans etc.

I haven’t told anyone I’m ttc and I know everyone will be shocked lol I haven’t thought about it yet who and when to tell…

Has anyone been having really vivid dreams?! Ever night since OVU they have been horrendous

@SMD16 yes! I was having very vivid dreams!! Mostly that I was pregnant/having BFPs. They've settled down now though.

Can everyone send me ovulation dust if that’s even a thing 😂 my OH goes away on Friday I need my peak before he goes or I’m out before I even tried…

I know, they are some insane dreams! Let's just say when I get pregs if we have a girl it's not being called India after one of those dreams 😂😂😂

@lakejupiter it's so hard isn't it, I find that it's all I'm thinking about! This is our year 🤞

So after this morn, I was googling about the tests I used and all the reviews said they give false positives and to avoid! They were only cheap from Tesco. Just did a frer after a hold and very much a bfn! I'll wait a few days now anyway as it's still early days but the disappointment is real! X

@RMS0209 a bit baffled by my own behaviour but otherwise fine 😂 I remember coming on here in the run up to TTC being like why are all these women testing so early and stressing themselves out. Now I know!
