Ttc #1 and cycle 1. Anyone else?

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5

No worries @lakejupiter! It was just there so thought hey why not... knowing full well it can take a lot longer for implantation 😂😂😂

@SMD16 I'm sort of glad the FRER tests are on the expensive side because it's much harder to just think oh well I'll just take one! The cheap tests feel like a continuation of the OPK strips, it somehow didn't feel as dramatic!

I started tracking my ovulation one cycle early to try and get my head around things before starting ttc… (didn’t work I’m still confused about everything lol) and I ordered all of my stuff to start the following month and I took a test as soon as they arrived and I’d only dtd once on CD27 so I was obviously expecting a miracle lol

It’s hard to resist the urge don’t feel too bad I’m sure I’ll end up early testing too! @lakejupiter

I was so excited to see that first test @5manc. Sorry about the FRER but definitely try tomorrow morning. It’s a strong line for a false, so I’m optimistic for you!

Haha I wouldn’t think twice about your 7dpo test @lakejupiter. I can almost guarantee I’ll be doing the same. Got to have something to pee on during the TWW after continuously doing OPKs!

So today is either ov day or 1dpo. I had a peak around midnight Saturday and Sunday morning, back down Sunday afternoon. How do people count dpo if you can ov like 12-48 hours after a peak??? Anyway! DTD Thurs, Sat, and Sun so hopefully covered 🤞🏼

@Pickles91 yes I was absolutely obsessed with my OPKs the last few cycles. Maybe I just miss peeing on things?!

@Pickles91 @lakejupiter thank you both still getting very negative opks today but I am only on CD13 I think so still early. I got my peak CD13 last cycle so I think I was just expecting the same again.

I’d like to know that question about dpo too. When do you go by the day after peak or?

Also, if you have had the booster in the last month it might delay your ovulation slightly - it did mine (usually CD15 but this month was CD17), and been hearing similar things from others. Hopefully it arrives in time to DTD!

@lakejupiter oh that’s interesting but I haven’t had my booster. I have read some threads about EPO delaying ovulation though and I have been taking that not sure if that could be why.

I actually was surprised last cycle that I got my peak on CD13 as my app originally said it was going to be CD16 and I got it 3 days earlier.

Premom and Femometer both saying ovulation is CD16. Flo said today CD13 but not sure if Flo has just copied what I logged last month maybe. I’ll have to wait and see

Interesting about the EPO. Hopefully it doesn’t delay it too much though! Yeah, I’m with you on the apps. I used Ovia before and have Premom now, just to use the sticks. Ovia had me down to ovulate around CD18 before logging OPKs! It ended up at CD14/15. Glad that we invested in the sticks else the timings would all be very wrong 😅

These are my tests today. CD10 at the top until today CD13, 2 per day except today I’ve done 3 already because I thought it might be peak day but it’s my lowest day lol (probably haven’t taken the best photos).

I just have to be patient but it’s hard I want to see that peak line 😂

Try and not go for a pee @Newbiemg for 4 hours now and don't drink too much then do one at like 10pm?

Agree with @SMD16! Peaks seem to come unexpectedly crazy quickly so it could still happen today!

I had a 26 day cycle In October no idea about ovulation as I wasn't tracking anything but usually my cycles are 28-30 days and Nov and Dec were both 30 day cycles and that means the average ovulation day would be CD16 so maybe last cycle I was just earlier than normal…

@Newbiemg mine look like that right up until my peak! And then go back to looking like that straight after. Four hour holds always give me the best results with OPKs. Do you get ovulation pain or EWCM? I usually get both of those things right before my peak so I can usually tell it's coming ❤️

Also @Newbiemg you don't need your peak before he goes! We only managed to try on CD14, 15 and 16 and this month I didn't get my peak until eve of CD16/morning of CD17. It wasn't ideal - had planned inseminations around my usual ovulation days and didnt expect the delay - but I think it's kosher to be trying before your peak for sure x

Definitely hold that pee and tomorrow have less tea haha! How many of us are in the UK?

@lakejupiter I do get pains I thought I had them lastnight but none today. I don’t get any ewcm though. I used to get loads but then recently none I don’t know why it changed or if I should be concerned about it. I do get like a watery clear CM which could be ewcm but it’s very small amounts so I can’t really tell. I’ve been taking EPO to increase it but so far no difference.

I don’t think my peak is late for a 30 day cycle as it’s only CD13 I think but because it was on CD13 last cycle you just expect the same don’t you lol

I’m going to do a 4 hour hold and test again around 10pm

We dtd lastnight, can’t tonight but I will do it again tomorrow and hopefully everyday the rest of the week until Friday 🤞
