Ttc #1 and cycle 1. Anyone else?

As title says ttc #1, cycle 1, 30 yo. I got my 1st flashing smiley this morning on the CB test.

Thought it would be nice to hear from other ladies in a similar position.

I’m confused what CD this is for me. I have another full thread on this so won’t rewrite it here but if anyone can help me on that thread (title: my first ever flashing smiley please help) I’d be grateful as I’m very confused. This may be CD10 for me or may be CD5

How are your new journeys going?

Tomorrow I will be 10/11DPO. I do have a clear blue ultra early digital in the cupboard but I did want to save that for when it may be more reliable. However the cheap ones are less sensitive so I'm not sure which to use! I think maybe my cheap ones detect 10m/U/ml of HCG so might be ok!

Well I'm back to cd1 today. Very strange as I was spotting for 2 days which I'm pretty sure has never happened before...

@Pickles91 Welcome and good luck with your first cycle ttc. Are you tracking ovulation via opks, app, temps or just going with the flow for month 1?

@jadew88 oh no sorry to hear that but hopefully the next cycle will be luckier for you. I had the same thing this cycle I’m sure my AF was different but I’m not sure if I was just taking more notice than normal or maybe certain things we do when ttc make a difference to our AFs…

I have a question with CB ovulation tests you are supposed to use FMU if I wake up really early like 3/4/5am because I need to pee and then I go straight back to sleep and then wake up for the day at 7/8am is my FMU that first time I wake up to pee or can I use the 7/8am urine lol. I’ve been using the 7/8am so when I actually get up but today I woke up to pee at 5am and thought should I be testing now but I was too tired so I didn’t…

@jadew88 so have you just had spotting for two days and that's it? Or have you now got a proper period?

@newbigmg good question with the CB’s, you said you are testing with cheapies too are you? I think you would be ok using the 7/8am because its not like you are drinking anymore during the night to dilute it? That’s just how I think.. I don’t know though, hopefully somebody else has the right answer for you. What did you get this morning? Any positive?

I've read that your surge often doesn't happen in the morning so it's always good to test again later on if you do test in the morning, so that you don't miss it.

Yeah I test with CB in the morning because it says use FMU and then I use Femometer cheapies in the afternoon and sometimes again in the evening too because I have lots and I’m a POSA lol

CB I’m on day 3 of flashing smiley no static smiley yet and my cheapies are still negative. I always have 2 lines on those the whole way through but still the control line was darker than test line yesterday evening. My app says ovulation on Monday.

I have no other ovulation symptoms yet no pains and no EWCM but last month I had hardly any EWCM. Had mainly creamy and watery then only a very small amount of the ECWM. I’m taking EPO this cycle hoping it helps.

@CrazyCatLady95 spotting for 2 days then this morning started with full AF.

This is the darkest line I've had so far on OPK 🤞🏻

@SMD16 I’m still learning these line opks but they look almost the same? Is that peak or very close maybe your app is spot on for the weekend?

@Newbiemg probably doesn't help that the picture is slightly blurry and I don't know which bin I just put it in as I had to run for a call 😂

Here's more pictures of it. In real life they look pretty much the same and the app has measured at 0.76. I think the predicted date might be right.

Guys... tell me you can see this line? I know about Evap lines however when I used these last month I didn't get a hint of a line. It is pink in person!! Don't want to get my hopes up 😩

@crazycatlady95 I can see a line! VERY faint but I can see it. I think you should test again tomorrow. How you feeling?

Very hard to get a good photo that compares to real life. It's defo pink not grey. I'll attach another photo. I am 10/11 dpo today so still really early! I've only got one more frer so I think I might use that Saturday. And then use a cheaper one tomorrow. I bought some cheap early ones today.
I feel ok just don't want to get my hopes up if it's an evap. Symptom wise I have been feeling slightly nauseous, very bloated, aches/pains in lower tummy, the hot flushes are becoming a problem 😂 but all that could also be AF. I have literally no CM, when I did last month so that's something different.

@SMD16 yes that’s good that it’s matching up with your app easier to plan. Hopefully your OH will be feeling better by the weekend!

@CrazyCatLady95 I can deffo see a line! Do you have more tests? I would take another one tomorrow or in a couple of days to see if it’s darker but I didn’t need to squint to see it so I would cautiously say Congratulations!
