Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@FlyOnTheWall89 I’ve phoned the GP this morning, awaiting there call back! If they tell me to keep trying I might explode! X

Indianna2006 · 24/11/2021 09:56

@OK92 definitely positive mantra 🤞🏼

@FlyOnTheWall89 sorry about AF hun. But see what GP says. Even if it puts your mind at rest. If there not helpful though you could always look privately. I mean you could confirm your ovulating by temping. And I got a private US scan when I was ttc DD and I feel that month funnily enough. She confirmed all looked well and my lining was good. And poof baby. Lol.

I only had a pelvis scan about 14 months ago for pelvic pain and all was normal then and I know I ovulate. So I’m not too panicked. But if a few months go by , I’ll start thinking well could I have blocked tubes or could it be DH..so hard to just wait and hope isn’t it.

But we have to remember these time frames are normal. So so normal. I know lots of ppl who have taken 9 months to fall pregnant.

@Hopefullywaiting01234 hopefully they won’t say let. Let us know how you get on xx

Been in a bit of a googling hole today and wondered whether any of you take or know much about vitamin b6?

I have a short-ish luteal phase (last cycle was 11 days). Considering starting on this to increase LP and maybe encourage the BFP.

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 24/11/2021 13:36

@OK92 - I have been taking it on and off, along with folic acid and vitamin D. Made no difference but again I haven’t been taking it religiously. I am also a bit sceptical about vitamins etc, if drug users and people who are extremely overweight etc can fall pregnant then why would a vitamin help me. I realise that is me being extremely glass half empty, but that’s the way this has got me 😞

FlyOnTheWall89 · 24/11/2021 13:54

@OK92 @Hopefullywaiting01234 ye I agree... I don't think any of it is necessary. In so many countries there would be zero vitamins. ... BUT I am sure some help for early baby development and, I do kind of buy into some of the other ones like CoQ10 and Soy Iso because of how much there is on the internet with people taking them and then getting a BFP. It is hard not to feel desperate to try something new as every failed month passes.

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 24/11/2021 15:26

@OK92 I have spoken to my GP and he is going to write to the gynaecologist for further instruction on if he should do any further tests or if they will see me - that appears quite positive! He did say on my other basic bloods and weight lifestyle etc nothing was amiss!

Chanel05 · 24/11/2021 15:42

Hope this is the cycle for you @Indianna2006 cycle 8 was my lucky cycle twice! Statistically, you're very likely to have conceived by March. Good luck!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 24/11/2021 15:58

@Hopefullywaiting01234 what did they check for in those basic bloods though?

@Chanel05 hoping it is lucky 8 for me too - it’s amazing to think it is statistically more likely to happen before March than not happen!

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 24/11/2021 16:06

@FlyOnTheWall89 just ovulation, thyroid, blood count for anaemia and I think vitamin D. So I was asking about day 3 bloods etc and that’s what he’s writing to the gynaecology department for advice on and should hear back within a few weeks he said.

OK92 · 24/11/2021 16:55

@Hopefullywaiting01234 thanks good progress! Keep us posted.

I know what you mean about vitamins. I bought some anyway with evening primrose as they were on a deal. Suppose they can (hopefully) do no harm but maybe if I'm lucky do some good. Definitely maxxed out on vitamins now DH is going to think I've lost the plot.

Indianna2006 · 24/11/2021 17:31

@Chanel05 thank you. I hope so 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Just gotta keep going if not though.

Statistically the odds are with us all within 12 cycles. But yes it can go part that and her does suck.

@FlyOnTheWall89 I know it’s super hard because you are ttc your first and then brings about a different level of anxiety of what if we never get to have any babies. And is ttc seconds. We have one baby. We’ve done it once. And we’re lucky for that. But strangely it really doesn’t change the want and need to do it again.
But I felt all of that craziness of it won’t happen etc etc. And of course it did. I just had to wait 10 and a half months have a mmc in the middle of it all. But it did turn up in the end 😊 you just keep going.

@Hopefullywaiting01234 glad you’ve got a few things checked. And iron and vitamin d levels need to be good. Hence why taking vitamins etc can just ensure that those simple things are not an issue if that makes sense.

I’ve started my EPO. Will update if makes any diff to my EWCM this month or not.

@ok92 I think an 11 day luteal phase seems fine. I think they consider under 9 to be short. Implantation is most likely days 8-10. And can happen day 11-12 but those late implanting tend to end in early mc a lot stasticially. So in terms of an egg implanting. You’ve got plenty of time so I wouldn’t worry too much.

I had 11 days luteal phase when ttc last time. Mine is now more 12/13 days. But I conceived twice with a 11 day luteal phase so caused me no issues obviously. Hope that helps settle your mind 😊

@Indianna2006 thank you, that's reassuring to hear.

OK92 · 02/12/2021 17:09

How is everyone doing? X

Indianna2006 · 02/12/2021 18:04

@OK92 plodding along, now in my FW. Due to ovulate maybe tomorrow or day after I believe.

How are you getting on?

I did use EPO this cycle and have noticed more EWCM so thinking it has made a difference tbh.

I also purchased a ferti Lily cup which you insert after dtd to push all the goods towards the cervix 😂😂😂

FlyOnTheWall89 · 02/12/2021 19:34

Hi guys! Approaching FW here. Day 10 ish I think now! Trying to be Uber chilled and enjoy all the festivities. Tbh I’m getting used it to not happening so I think it’s easier than it was maybe 2/ 3 times ago. Xx

Hopefullywaiting01234 · 02/12/2021 19:42

I’m on CD11 and for my first flashing smiley on the clear blue ovulation strips today! I have been in the office a few days this week after WFH mostly since March 2020 and I find it has made a bit of a difference, I think I have too much time to think at home x

Indianna2006 · 02/12/2021 20:22

@Hopefullywaiting01234 @FlyOnTheWall89 ooh lots of us in FW and lots of shagging 😅

Yes agreed if your kept busier it’s much easier as the days and weeks fly past don’t they. An then it’s always another chance.

What plans do you all have for Xmas?

In-laws at ours this year. But super excited for DD to see stuff she’s asked for from Santa. As she will be 4 in Feb. So really does properly understand this year.

OK92 · 02/12/2021 20:45

Yay I'm also approaching fertile window too. CD15 but don't usually ovulate until CD18-20. So bored of waiting! Seems like we are all in a positive mindset. Starting to DTD from tomorrow. Bad planning as we have evening plans tomorrow and Saturday so might have to squeeze it into DD 45min naptime 🙈

I agree the EPO seems to be making a difference too with me already which I'm happy about. How long do you leave the cup in for? Might try it if this month isn't successful!

Also getting excited for Christmas. Lots going on to (try and) keep mind off TTC! Exciting for your DD - perfect age for Xmas!

Kiaa · 02/12/2021 21:00

Hey
Hope everyone's doing well
I'm cd14 the flashing smiley have started but dh doesn't get home from work away trip till tomorrow night alot catching up bd to do 😂

Xmas is going to be busy going to each family house 24th-26th so no one fights lol
Dd is obsessed with Xmas movies & loving the home decorating 😀

Indianna2006 · 02/12/2021 21:03

@ok92 oh yay for EPO lol! So the cup says keep in for 20 mins upto an hour. But I read people slept with it in. So I’ve just done that twice. Can’t feel it then and then just take it out in morning as we BD quite late sometimes. So I’m not staying up an hour to take it out 😂😂 figured it was worth a shot. Can’t hurt and kind of made sense in my head. It like pushes it all up there so more gets into the cervical mucus and can survive rather than your acidic vagina killing them off 😱

@Kiaa aww yes my DD is same. Yay for Christmas. Sounds like a busy period and always nice to have lots to keep our mind off this. It is such a great season 😁

We got this ladies xx

@Indianna2006
it is super cute seeing them so excited 😀
Yes very busy let's hope the 2ww goes super fast for us all 🤞xx

OK92 · 04/12/2021 13:53

Finally got my peak OPK today on CD17 but OH is out all afternoon and evening 😭 I went straight from negatives yesterday to a blazing positive today and a static smiley. I had expected at least a day or two of flashing smileys!

Indianna2006 · 04/12/2021 20:49

@OK92 don’t panic just yet! Static means next two days are peak. Can you catch him late tonight? If not tomo morning 🤞🏼

Well I couldn’t find my normal ovulation sticks this month. The ones I trust to use. So haven’t used any. Found some yesterday and took CD12 and CD13. I’ve have EWCM for 5 days and felt ovulation pains today. But my sticks today were not bold. I always ovulate CD12 or 13 so adds up. Not sure if the cheap sticks I got were rubbish and not to trust them.

Keep BDing or what now 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Confused as well lol. But the pain and CD add up to it being ovulation.

OP posts:
OK92 · 05/12/2021 07:45

@Indianna2006 I'd trust your instinct - sounds like you did ovulate yesterday. Maybe BD today again just in case though!

Managed to DTD late last night. feeling a bit confused though as although (sorry TMI) I thought EPO was working, I have yet to get any EWCM. I definitely noticed more CM the last few days but none the right consistency. Hope it doesn't hinder our chances!
