Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@Indianna2006 arh that's so nice to hear. The last few months have definitely felt more challenging in some ways as she's always moving, but also so so fun now she is says hi and dadda and waving and pointing at everything. We have gone away on a family trip in the sun and it's just heaven. So special and all we dreamed of.

So pleased your little one is happy and loves her big sister and vice versa! It feels like yesterday when we were battling the monthly sadness. Hoping it doesn't take as long but equally fully prepared for it.... I'm a bit more distracted for now thankfully! X

Sorry for my very slow reply!! Lovely hearing everyone's updates and glad everyone is doing well. All good here too - little one is 15 months now and a gorgeous little force of nature - starting to properly play much more with older sister too.

I think we are done with two but I can't get a niggling thought out of my head that I'll regret not having one more...I am one of three and DH is one of four so we are used to big families. Although not sure I have it in me to go through pregnancy, newborn days and also TTC again 🙈

FlyOnTheWall89 · 01/03/2024 07:04

@OK92 arh so nice to hear everything is well!

I'm one of 4 too and can't imagine having just 2... but equally I can see that it's alottttt of work. Maybe you could leave a bit more of a gap and see if the yearning is still there.

I do actually have some news. My daughter just turned 1 and I'm pregnant, only just..,, around 5.5/6 weeks .... it happened quickly this time 👀 and I'm still breastfeeding a little. Keeping everything crossed that it works out.

Xx

@FlyOnTheWall89 oh wow congratulations. Bet it was nice to not do all that waiting too!! See it’s such fluke sometimes honestly. I’ll never understand ttc.

but yes I can imagine 3/4 is a lot. I mean 2 now my little girl is crawling and pulling up. I have barely any time for anything. I cannot imagine having another one or two in tow. And the washing…don’t get me started on that 😂😂😂😂😂😂 !
NEVER ENDING.

I am done with two. Perfectly happy with 2 girls. And there bond is so cute.

@FlyOnTheWall89 wow congratulations!! So great it happened quickly this time. How are you feeling so far?

@Indianna2006 yes the washing is never ending 😵‍💫 defo will wait a while before making any decisions, and until my youngest is potty trained / easier to cope with 😂

Haven't been on here for agessss but thought I'd post as I know I used to trawl through threads looking for good outcomes from scary starts. @OK92 the first 14/16 weeks were pretty brutal.... the tiredness and nausea alongside looking after a 13 month old was just SO hard. It was survival. But after I turned a corner and got a bit more into second trimester, it has been all great. I'm 31 weeks now. I'll have a planned c section towards the end of October (after I had a c section with my 1st daughter) and I'll be back in that newborn world, building up to it all becoming a bit easier again, which it does feel now that my first is on one nap, sleeps so well, walks and talks a bit and can understand so much. It is wild how life works and not for a minute did I think I'd have 2 20 months apart! Hope you're all well! Xxx

@FlyOnTheWall89 lovely to hear you’re doing so well. Time really does fly!
my little one is 16 months now and a world wind and my two absolutely keep me busy.

my planned c section was lovely!! Very calm and dignified way to give birth.
lots of luck for the last few weeks for you. Hope you’ve been coping in the heat!

Oops sorry for the very slow reply! Gosh I can't imagine being heavily pregnant with such a little one at home too - well done! Will you have some maternity leave to relax etc before your planned section (if you're back to work that is)?

I am good - my youngest is coming up to 2 in November which is just so crazy. Can't believe how quickly the time has gone...she is a real wild card compared to my first and is constantly keeping me on my toes or telling me off 😂
