Entering into 8th cycle..

Entering into 8th cycle…ttc number 2.

Feeling defeated and deflated even though I know odds are still on our side really..
I already have a DD who is 3 years 9 months so very much feel time is of the essence. Just desperate for it to happen now.

Feel like either people seem to fall super fast or seem like 12 months plus and don’t find many “in the middle” types.

Ive fallen pregnant 1st cycle before. And then DD took 7 cycles. So hence why this failed 7th cycle seems like a miserable milestone!

Anyone welcome to keep me company. Sucks 😫

@emhope
Omg congratulations what a beautiful blessing 🥰 hope you are well

OK92 · 25/01/2023 13:49

@Indianna2006 all good thank you, baby is 9 weeks old already! Time is flying. I feel your pain, 3rd trimester was so tiring especially with a little one to look after.

@FlyOnTheWall89 best of luck with the final stretch, so exciting your baby will be in your arms so soon now 🥰

@Kiaa I'm excited for the laughing stage to start! Getting lots of smiles now which is so lovely.

Indianna2006 · 18/02/2023 16:48

@FlyOnTheWall89 wishing you lots of luck lovely as you must be fast approaching due date 😱 (if baby hasn’t made an appearance already!)

That last bit is the worst. The anticipating. The not knowing when they will or won’t come. Especially with firsts. It feels like it’s the slowest part. But not long. It will all be worth it 😁

My DD is a feb born Aquarius baby and you are in for a treat. Such characters 🥰

@Indianna2006 yes the waiting game is well and truly upon us... at this rate she will be March born 😂. Hoping things change quickly in the next week and she makes an arrival asap. My OH is also getting very impatient to meet her now. Have you had an induction before? Or anyone else actually on here? Xx

Kiaa · 19/02/2023 03:55

@FlyOnTheWall89
Hopefully won't be much longer of a wait 😀
I remember been over it by the end of it not been able to move 😂
I've had induction with both my daughters
First dd because Meconium in broken water's i felt that one more painful then baby 2 had to be induced due to gestational diabetes & placenta growth , basically they broke waters in morning started drip 2 hours after bub was born but I had fast births with both . Usually first levels of the drip isn't too bad but eventually you feel it ..I just kept pumping on the gas lol.

Indianna2006 · 19/02/2023 10:03

@FlyOnTheWall89 no I haven’t had an induction. Well technically I have perhaps that’s a lie.
I went for a sweep at 40+4 and my cervix was posterior etc and not ripe at all an I remember thinking ffs. But later that night I lost my plug a bit an started early labour. But she wasn’t born until 40+7 so 41 weeks.

she was back to back and after being in labour for about 40 hours they said enough is enough I was dilating slow even once I got to like 6cm. Cos she wasn’t positioned right I think. So they then sent me across delivery. Broke my waters and attached me to drip at 7cm to speed the last bit up as I’d laboured for like 2 days with no sleep and was exhausted. So kind of semi but my body was already almost there tbh.

but the drip worked as it makes it work much faster than natural which is a bonus. Prob why @Kiaa were quite fast. Fast and intense. But slow isnt better either as well cos it’s like endurance race lol.

either way whatever has to happen just go in with positive mindset and open to what has to change. You can’t control it unfortunately as much as you try. I wanted a lovely natural water birth but just wasn’t meant to be.
Altho using the pool was the best relief for me ever. I then had an epidural once they put the drip in but mostly cos I’d already done 2 days of contractions and labour already and it’s what they recommended so I’d have energy to push.

Any way she got here safe and sound a that’s main thing isn’t it. It was a bit of an ordeal for me though.

I think I am opting for elective section this time as I had medical issues after mine. An it’s what the consultant has medically recommended. Altho I can do natural but that’s a risk to me making problems worse. I feel waivered. alas I was very unlucky with my birth. Majority of my friends had normal natural delivery’s and no complications 🥰🥰

I’d love a fast ish natural delivery just to experience it. But not sure it’s worth the risk for me.

Get bouncing on the ball. And try keep them round the right way. On hands and knees etc. about all I can recommend. Sooo exciting. Could be any time hun.

@Indianna2006 @Kiaa thanks guys, really interesting. Just a little anxious about these induction horror stories. I think we will aim for next weekend induction if nothing this week. 🤞🏻 my cervix changes and she begins to move on her own! I think I'd have prefer not to make a decision is the thing, just have to go with whatever because I was actually in Labour!

Indianna2006 · 19/02/2023 12:41

@FlyOnTheWall89 I don’t think inductions are all horror stories. Few of my friends had induction and been fairly straight forward. Had epidurals. No pain. Pushing wasn’t an issue. No intervention.

Tbh there is horror whatever way you turn. Natural start of labour, induction, emergency c section, electives surgery. There will always be less favourable outcomes. As it just can never go to plan all the time. But equally I think there are lots of positive stories 🥰🥰

Like I say MOST of my friends have had fairly straight forward normal length natural delivery’s. There’s only been a select few who’ve had a much rougher time. Me being one. But it’s just statically how it goes. I hope yours is positive and a smooth as can be. 🥰🥰

it’s amazing what us women are made of. Once they get here. It does all seem to be what matters.

Try ignore the negatives. Be aware of what can happen obviously. That’s important I think. But don’t dwell on it. Go with flow and think a lot of women don’t get their perfect birth. And that’s okay. Birth is birth whatever way they come 🙏

Id deff give baby a good chance to come though. And only be agreeing to an induction like 40+10/11. MOST babies come before then.

excited for you!!

@FlyOnTheWall89

Every birth is different but definitely don't stress about it go with the flow will all go so fast before you know it bub will be in your arms 🥰

Kiaa · 06/04/2023 08:45

@Indianna2006 @FlyOnTheWall89 @OK92 how is everything going for you all 🥰

Indianna2006 · 06/04/2023 09:04

@Kiaa yess good 😊 I am having my little girl next Friday via elective c section 😬🥰🥰 the nerves are now kicking in. Can’t believe I am almost at true finish line and she will be here. It’s felt such a journey.

@FlyOnTheWall89 how did you find your recovery from your emergency one?

@OK92 hope you’re well

@Indianna2006
So very glad to hear 😀
Hope everything goes smoothly for you and not so painful recovery X
It went so fast ! Soon she will be in your arms so exciting
My little one turned 7 months not so little anymore 😭 not ready for her to grow up

FlyOnTheWall89 · 07/04/2023 07:31

@Indianna2006 honestly it's been amazing - I feel really good. Day 1 was the hardest and it's got gradually better. I would say do not get behind in your pain relief ever, even if you're feeling better. Mobilise yourself - even though it's painful and incredibly hard just to sit up in those first days, once you're up, it's much less painful and a bit of movement really helps. Good luck and enjoy all those buzzy hormones, they're just the best. Feels like yesterday that we were all deep in the struggle - how life has changed! 🫶🏼 xx

Indianna2006 · 07/04/2023 22:18

@FlyOnTheWall89 oh good I’m so glad! I will hope for the same. First few days rough. Take it slow. An each day gets better hopefully. I am soo nervous and with h these Docter strikes going on next week hoping it still goes ahead. I haven’t heard it won’t so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🤞🏼

After so long and going through 3 miscarriages and I just have so much fear about losing the baby last minute and I want her out so she’s safe if you know what I mean. Ugh. Such a worry isn’t it.

Anyway…hopefully a week today and she will be here in my arms.

I shall update you all 🥰🥰🤞🏼🤞🏼

My DD is BEYOND excited and I think my heart might explode when she finally gets to meet her baby sister.

@Indianna2006 thinking of you! Hope all went well x

Im taking it slow and Altho I wasn’t a major fan of the actual surgery afterwards has been better than expected. An am more able and mobile than my vaginal delivery. So 🤞🏼🤞🏼to smooth recovery.

Hey, hope it's okay if I join!

I'm on cycle 9 (5dpo) TTC for number 1 and definitely feeling very deflated at the moment. We'd put it off for a while over covid and then a couple of things like destination family wedding and running a marathon b it feel so stupid now cause I worry if there is something wrong it's just delayed the whole process 😔

FlyOnTheWall89 · 15/04/2023 21:11

@Indianna2006 haha yes so nice to put my old clothes back on and do my own shoes and bend in half without feeling like I might throw up whatever is in my stomach. Keep up with the meds and I'm sure it will get better and better in the coming days. 💕

@Emmalou0607 hi! This is an old group from when we were all trying around the same time and most of not all of us have babies now, one born just on Friday and my little girl 6 weeks ago. Try the group trying to conceive 1+ part 4 I think it's called. My brief advice would be to call your gp and say you've been trying for a year and start getting your bloods done: day 3 and day 21 and your partner needs a semen analysis. That's going to give you a good insight into things. If you're worried about your egg stores, get a private blood test for AMH. Alternatively go private and get a package deal where they'll do all the above and a scan for a price which varies across the country. Best of luck - it feels like forever in the moment but you are so so so likely to get there, might just be taking a while. It took us 15 cycles x

OK92 · 19/04/2023 18:40

@Indianna2006 congrats 💖 hope you are recovering well and enjoying the new addition!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 12/01/2024 08:31

Girls on this group, how is everyone? We are thinking about baby #2 now! My girl is a year next month!

Indianna2006 · 12/01/2024 13:28

@FlyOnTheWall89 hi!! Omg almost a year! That’s madness isn’t it. My little girl is now 9 months and crawling and just into everything. She’s the happiest little soul!

oh exciting about thinking about baby no 2. Hopefully you might full quicker this time and there is the hope you know you did last time which helps a little!!

I am done and dusted with my two girls. Feel really lucky and blessed to have them two. And my oldest is SO good with my little one and is like a little mother hen.
I had needn’t of ever worried about that 5 year age gap. It’s been wonderful 🫶

hope everyone else is doing really well?
